Dang it patch 1.4, we're doing Math again!
It's math time 🐴
One thing that might not be mentioned is that moving and merging cards also give timekeeper moxie (tuning points), which help you cast your tuning more often. Though, there are very few situations i can think of where specifically using tuning is more important than dps or moxie, so the advice in this video is still great!
The 2 take-aways are:
- Babel is POG 😁
- Just pull Marcus cuz she "merges" for you
Yeah sure 🤬
Also now you mentioned it Marcus kinda does. Not only the rank up, but also bonus moxie...
Mind blown. I actually thought that fusing is always better.
Its better for building moxy
Man, I really appreciate your thorough breakdown of the numbers.
In general, I'm not extremely tactical. And the card draw combat mechanics institute an action economy that has added a layer of difficulty for me, as it's quite different from the usual turn based games I play.
Your insights help me to understand and formulate better strategies as I progress to the higher difficulties of content.
And your other videos on upcoming characters help me plan for account management and longevity.
It is very much appreciated. ✌️
I only move cards when I see I can get a chain fusion to get tons of moxie for my dps. Otherwise, I just 1 star my way
i hate when the incantation generator absurdly filled up the entire thing with tooth fairy's incantations
My charlie and a knight: just move it move it😂😂😂 then boom! Ult nuke😂😂😂
I really like your channel Bun.❤ It's very clean and pretty.
I open youtube and know what I'm subscribed for without getting bombarded by other irrelevant for me games😂
One time when moving and fusing for damage IS advantageous is with brave new world. I play blonney and I love to exploit her extra 30% crit rate/dmg to just use one 3* incantation during her burst turn
it’s also way more AP efficient than just dumping 3-5 cards at once to get the same number, and having to get more cards to get her ult
legit tysm for this video??? I didnt know any of this and merged ALL THE TIME which... lowkey not it..
thank u bro
What about with enemy defense? Is it a percent reduction so multiple smaller hits aren't punished?
I usually play around the cards to try and get the cards to fuse by themselves.
oh i'm waiting Staphodea in Global version 😤
Based on how dmg is calculated, active fusing shouldnt necessarily drop dps by a lot when facing high DEF targets right?
I have not done the actual math, but if the general formula is ATT-DEF, then you'd want a significant amount of multiplier to cross the Def threshold?
Correct me if wrong haha
The ATK-DEF happen before the multiplier happen
@@SteamedBunXReverse1999 Oh wow TIL, so you actually can take the multipliers at face value, interesting. Thanks yeah.
Is it a DMG loss to fuse with Horropedia? since he gets dmg increase with rank2 or more incantations
The damage bonus can't really fix how much multiplier he lost from the fuse. His S1 goes from 200% to only 250% after ranking on.
The one unit that does not lose multiplier is getian. His S1 is 100/200/400
A bit late of a comment for this video but figured I'd ask this since I was confused. When you mention that fusing provides two moxie for one action, isn't that incorrect? The act of moving takes up an action, so whether you use two separate abilities or move them and fuse for one, doesn't it still consist of two AP used and two moxie gained? Or am I misunderstanding how it works?
If you move and fuse than use the card that is 3 moxie for 2 moves 😘
@@SteamedBunXReverse1999 Thank you very much for the clarification!
I'm sorry but this is out of topic, should we get Sotheby from the banner right now to complete the poison team?
Or does Sotheby fall off further more in the CN tier list as a poison support?
Sotheby fall off REALLY HARD eventually as new reality supports have their own negative status, which when combined with Jessica's poison can proc blasphemor of the night
@@SteamedBunXReverse1999 Alright then thanks, I guess I'll just save up for 6 instead
@@muhdazhad04 Jessica's damage comes from 3* White Blankie with 3 poison stacks. Get Sotheby since there hasn't been a new poison character other than Kanjira. Kanjira is honestly a headache to use compared to Sotheby. You can replace Bikornblum with Gatian if you like him.
I don't speak English, could you tell me if what you said is that it is better to use cards with a star and not merge them?
When your move a card and merge them. You generate extra moxie (ultimate energy). Only if your ultimate is good. Should you fuse them.
If ultimate is not good for the stage, or if the moxie won't be useful (overflows) than just use them separate.
Is it worth moving if you fuse 2 cards?
Yes. If it's a double fuse it's most likely worth it.
Just have a good understanding of your arcanists' kit, the stage environtmental bonus, your enemies 4Head.
I'm starting to think that bun doesn't have eyes. That's his nose, mustache and mouth hmm...
STOP. THERE ARE THINGS PEOPLE CANNOT UNSEE
@@SteamedBunXReverse1999Are you going live to pull 6/viewer pulls or is that tomorrow or nah?
Even with Regulus?
Fusing is REALLY good with regulus because you want to use her action every other turn.
Never fuse 37 incantations?
Unless you are higher portray, you should be trying to get as much eureka tehre by not fusing it.
😮😊
Very good technical video, thank you!
I think you should be careful before making sweeping statements like "Fusion is a DPS loss" because thats the kind of information people will repeat as a general rule of thumb despite it actually being the exception rather than the rule in most cases. More characters get a benefit on fusion to make up for the multiplier than not which already makes this argument a bit dicey, but that's not the only reason. Characters like let's say Regulus or Pickles who only really wants to act when they have their buff active, largely benefit from fusions with little to no loss, if not straight up gains in the long run. Also, let's say we take the Jessica example. What you said is generally true....if youre using blasphemer or yearning desire as her psycube. But let's say youre using Brave New World for example because you don't have the other 2, suddenly this statement is no longer true because you're gonna play Jessica with more fusions to rush her ult and give the following 40% boost to a fused incantations. And while BNW might be suboptimal to BoN with her in particular, the point stands that there are much more variables to take into account than just talking about multipliers in a vacuum if even the psycube you use can influence the outcome. And while we're talking about psycubes, we also have Carat of the heart which benefits from gaining more moxie per turns etc etc. So what you're saying about the multiplier is only true in a vacuum but not as much in practice because there's a lot more variables to take into account that just how powerful their ultimate is and if they get confusion or a better debuff when they fuse.
