Excellent info! I teach 18-24 months and my whole room is decorated with my students process art! My little ones come into the classroom saying, “paint, dot, dot” . I love your bulletin board boarder idea!
Thank you! I have always believed this but always feel the pressure to make everything “cute” and Pinterest perfect. In my last few years I have really embraced process art and focus on the process and not the product for children’s art. It has saved me time and money and it benefits childrens’ development much more than something I prepared and they just “put together”.

I also did a giant oak tree with the children.It took up the space of an entire wall. We used it as a language tree, it changed with the children's artwork during each season, and we even put Christmas lights on it in December and decorated it. Every year I would have the children in my class make an extra Apple for the tree, for the new children coming into my classroom when they go off to kindergarten. I would hang these giant apples on the tree at the beginning of the school year I would put each child's name on one apple, with a message from the child who made the Apple for them.

I think it’s gotten way worse with TH-cam and teachers decorating their classrooms at the beginning of the year. It seems the decorating part is often more emphasized than is this classroom a good place to learn?

I always put the kids work on my boards. However, I have Never let them create one. Now, I will let them have 2 of my 4 boards. Thanks for this.
