I genuinely wonder how people feel about airblast. Personally I think it's pretty balanced expect for the mini crit extra. Feel like it would be sick if it only mini critted on special occasions like air shots.

Slowly getting better at pyro and learning airblast timing pretty well, though still struggle with fast ones. Is there any good way to learn how to close range reflect in reaction rather than by guessing on firing timing?
First one is the easiest to predict. Since upon seeing an enemy a first person’s instinct is to shoot. The second one is sort of predictable but any after that i find it impossible to predict.
Airblast counters Solider and Demo which are way too easy anyway. Dont see the issue. If you decide to make yourself a one trick pony (no shotgun as soldier) you deserve to loose to someone playing your counter class.

Demo in casual (outside of dustbowl) is still more difficult than pyro in casual too. And then going to the competitive side of things, where high level scout players (the best duel class in the game) are in every match, demo and soldier are even harder compared to pyro there.
@@airchampion4658 Pyro can be easy if you're playing against awful players, but if they have any skill you can't just m1 them, you have to combo, use map features and mechanics to your advantage, or even disengage and support your teammates so they can deal with it instead. Soldier's game plan is always just to shoot at an opponent's feet. Even what many consider to be his best loadout, rocket launcher, gunboats, and escape plan, is just shooting at people's feet with some rocket jumping mixed in.
air blast is really good so i dont get why it minicrits, its just really annoying to fight against something you cant hit and that hits you with 33% more damage then you (tryed) to hit it with

You can kinda time it if you can tell when they react to seeing you but besides that it’s mostly luck

Airblasts take a lot more practice to hit consistently compared to the projectiles that it reflects
