I've made this pie 4x times now and EVERYONE loves it! I have given the recipe out 5 times now and its a hit! I've also made a this sans pumpkin according to Erin McDowell's vanilla sugar pie recipe and it is great! delish!
That looks mighty tasty. I’m going to try that with sweet potato or Kabocha squash. The decoration is ... was😊... beautiful. She just made it even sweeter.
Kristen, Your videos just keep getting better and better. Just the three of you cooking, and sharing the adventure together, in the perfect setting. And the vivacious Erin Jeanne McDowell and her recipe , that looks so good I have got to try it. Best regards to you all! StephenKMackSD
@Kristen Miglore I love watching you, your husband, and your beautiful little girl, making the video's together! It may sound corny, but its wholesome, in the best sense of a word, that has so over used. Or should it be better named an affirmation, in these inauspicious times ,of making grace, that we all so much need, by preparing meals together, as a central act of that affirmation. Looking forward to more video's with your crew, and you guest stars! Best regards, StephenKMackSD
I've never been a fan of pumpkin pie either. But I realized that I didn't like pumpkin pie seasoning. I made one as I would season a sweet potato pie and it was delicious.
I season my sweet potato pies with nutmeg and a little cinnamon. Also vanilla and just a hint of lemon flavoring. I dont like the cloves, etc in n the pumpkin pie spice.
perfect is a stretch...and calling a white blond perfect has connotations that lack desire, i would even say provoke the opposite emotion.....i am going to assume gender and say she is totally adorable though.
Really glad to have found this video and WILL make this pie! I have never made pie bfore bcause of intimidation and this one looks doable for me. Equally as fun was watching this beautiful little girl. 👼 I hope that we get to see her again. Thank you !!!
I made this for Thanksgiving this year, followed to a T, and ended up with pudding instead of pie. I think my pie plate is deeper than the typical pie plate, and although I baked for 45 minutes, it wasn’t long enough. Still edible though, as there’s no eggs in the recipe. Very tasty, and I will try again with a longer bake time.
Definitely making this!! I always make homemade crust dough so that I don’t feel lazy and without fail, I regret it every single time no matter how delicious it is. So this is WONDERFUL for me! I also don’t like pumpkin pie so I look forward to it hahaha
I love pumpkin. I'm wondering if it has enough pumpkin. Would i be able to add more pumpkin or would it throw off the rest of the ingredients? Thank you
It would be great to know about what percentage of the crust dough should be on the sides and what percent should be kept for the bottom. An approximation even would be great.
This is so cute! I’m definitely trying this pie. I love pie crust but it’s so finicky. But cookie crust? Yum! Totally unrelated, where is your top from Kristen? I love it almost as much as your adorable kid!
Crust is challenging, but I don't understand how substituting a cookie crust with creaming method to be "stress-free." Cookies and custard: hard. Crust and custard: hard. Also, annoying because you would need a mixer :)
Stress-free doesn't have to be brain-free. Any time you're using a mixer is obviously way more stress-free than having to carefully do something by hand, though she does mention that you can just whisk it by hand.
The dynamic duo!!! My favorite two cooks/bakers in one episode ❤️ OMG Kristin and Mike, your little peanut is absolutely adorable 😊

I love the tid bits from Erin throughout the video. Really clever and well thought out!
Literally lol’d at Erin in the beginning 😂
This was fantastic! Loved this style with the fairy tips from Erin and the real life mishaps with Kristen. Entertaining and fun.
Me: Does not like pie (sorry not sorry)
Also me: loves watching Erin talk about and make pie

I’m from Indiana and had no idea sugar cream pies came from Indiana! It’s my dad’s favorite type of pie!
this pie looks delish and I love watching these videos!

I love Erin so glad I found her and now you!

Woah! How is sweet potato pie spice different?
I season my sweet potato pies with nutmeg and a little cinnamon. Also vanilla and just a hint of lemon flavoring. I dont like the cloves, etc in n the pumpkin pie spice.
This is the content I needed today!
Watching that perfect tiny human eat the pie is one of the best things to happen to me in all of 2020! 🥰❤️
perfect is a stretch...and calling a white blond perfect has connotations that lack desire, i would even say provoke the opposite emotion.....i am going to assume gender and say she is totally adorable though.
Thank you lovely ladies your the best!
I was waiting for the frantic "OH CRAP THE RAMEKIN!!" moment.
Me too!!

We have a whole episode of Bake It Up a Notch about pie doughs and crusts! th-cam.com/video/Q1fJ3GsmQBg/w-d-xo.html
@@suziedepingu premade 😂
But honestly, none that I’ve felt strongly that it was the best
Your baby is sooooo cute..!!! Thank you for sharing 🥰
I love pumpkin. I'm wondering if it has enough pumpkin. Would i be able to add more pumpkin or would it throw off the rest of the ingredients? Thank you
Just wanna say, that i love Erin as a human.
And i didn't anticipate the beginning.
It made me smile nevertheless.
Made the pie - big winner with non-pumpkin pie people
I am going to try this
Well, Kristen & Erin, this is a like for sure!
excellent

Love you both!
I was wondering where we could get Erin's book? And if it is Baby approved it must be good!
How long to bake with the filling inside, please?
Love your videos ❤ Keep it up ❤

Love from India...big fan
You could make this with sweet potato as well for those who simply can't stand pumpkin but like sweet potatoes.
I'm trying this we will see
Just watched Erin on Rachel Ray; great tips! 11/26/20
A sweetie eating a sweet thing.
How long is it baked for? I cannot find it in the video.
28-32 minutes, but look for a tiny jiggle.
The beginning was so loud i jumped lol
We can’t get thumping paste here. Could you make a receipt for this
Hi
You lost me at flout is the thickener-no eggs.
I never cared about pumpkin pie cracking . Why would you ?
Because some of us are perfectionist’s? As the old adage goes: you do you & I’ll do me & we’ll both be happy.
Crust is challenging, but I don't understand how substituting a cookie crust with creaming method to be "stress-free." Cookies and custard: hard. Crust and custard: hard. Also, annoying because you would need a mixer :)

Was this comment supposed to be funny? If not, the grocery stores have pumpkin pies all ready to buy.
Also, this crust does not need to be rolled out. You “pat” it into place.... that is supposed to be the easy bit, I think.
Stop using unnecessary "likes".
