Hot racing makes an aluminum motor mount for the Gorgon. I used it when i converted mine and my motor hasn't moved once in nearly a year now. It's only ten bucks or so
We have 3 Gorgons and I installed UDR rear trailing arm skid plates onto the roof on the Gorgon body, they run the entire length and help prevent the top rear of the body from pushing in OR cracking.

I agree. This modern platform has some new sauce in it that makes it a lot more stable than the older two wheel drive stuff. Obviously it's still harder to drive then four wheel drive but not nearly as hard as they used to be
I had this same idea but with the long wheelbase version from the Fury in the hopes that it would keep the front end down a bit more and have more stability on high traction surfaces.
I'm not sure you'd be able to get the body to fit on the long wheelbase version but even this short wheelbase version is very stable. You can get it to wheelie but it's Not super easy.
Anything's possible but it would probably require some pretty serious customization as the shock towers are not even remotely similar between the two types of vehicles.
Nice! I just swapped an Outcast 4S Body, Wing and Bumpers onto a Vorteks Boost. Chassis difference however mandated using proline front body posts and the front bumper doesn't stick out far enough.
@@DoRC For sure. This is my First Arrma. Most my stuff is Traxxas. So far I'm liking the Vorcast? Might end up going to a proper Outcast Chassis though to get the body mounts and bumpers in the right spots and keep it a Brushed setup for a while.

I absolutely love this kind of content, especially the fact that you did this with all arrma factory parts!! My fury arrived 2 days ago and the drag car conversion has begun, I'm also trying to use as many arrma parts as possible, any thoughts on what car body I should use?
@@stp440 Except the spur and drive shafts are from RCAWD not a Arrma product, They seem to be a bit better than the stock parts. I love seeing these conversion builds…
@DoRC I'm hoping to squeeze into a box stock type of class even though I'll be substituting the motor and esc from a losi 22s and wheelie bar from... well... umm... whatever I can get to fit. Im also limited by how wide the rear track width is so I've been eyeing the proline 56 and 66 f100 short course bodies because they seem to be the only ones I've found that the rear drag slicks don't rub and thry match the style of the arrma outcast which is awesome. I'd love to see arrma make a drag fury eventually so I can be 100% box stock legal (hint hint)
@DoRC I actually have high hopes for this chassis for several reasons. The axle angle is almost parallel to the ground at my desired rear ride height, The antiquat percentage is almost perfect and I haven't touched the suspension other than removing the long spacer from the rear springs yet with my race tires and wheels on the ride heights are almost dead on. Ok Do RC last question hopefully 😂 Do all of the new three arrmas have the same servo saver in them? I hear people saying that you must upgrade the s.s on the Gorgon, and I'm wondering if it is different or is it because of the bigger tires on the Gorgon.
