@@manpan4693 I got another one and replaced the original engine with the turbo V8 engine and I did a "No Cat" mod on my exhaust and it sounds like a beast
This truck has a fantastic interior design. Those seats look super comfortable. And I believe the dash layout is still in use today only slightly altered. The GMT900 (07-14 models) had a similar layout with the work truck models and the new 14+ K2XX pickups use something slightly similar in shape but a little more premium looking. It's a great design!
Can confirm have 1999 4x4 wit 5.3 v8. Seats are very comfy, however sometimes the lower back of the seats kinda makes my back hurt a lil bit, however it is once in a blue moon the other 95% of the time 10/10 comfy. (for 90s car seats that is)
Gonna get a 2001 Silverado LT 4WD with AutoTrac. Two tone paint Deep Ruby Red Metallic. Such a beautiful old school truck. I love it when the Fan Clutch locks up.
Idk if its so much to fool unsuspecting buyers or if the guy selling it is a complete idiot. It also says its a 1995. Something its clearly not... and it would not be to their advantage to sell this truck as a 95 when its a 99.
I have the same truck but mines black and the back in mine has lots of space. It's a great truck. The outside of mine is beat up a little and the paint is fading on the hood. I love that truck though. It maybe a '99 but it has been the best truck I've ever had. If you're thinking about getting one of these? Do it. It's well worth it. I'd look around though. 7k is a little steep. They go around here for $3,500-5k. Mine costed me 1k but that's bc I bought it from a long time friend. He was gonna sell it for 2k but knew I needed a vehicle so I bought it when I got my taxes. Anyway it's a good buy If you're wanting a good truck that won't let you down and not wanting to spend a lot of money.
Buenas mi camioneta es una Silverado o 99 tiene una falla q prende y c apaga, osea no c aguanta mucho en mínimo, c le metió el escáner y arroja q está bloqueada solucion
not for 6k blue book value for one of these is around 4k in excellent cond. now if it were a v8 maybe a little more very powerful truck though I have one just like it 4.3 99yr and when I drove it the 1st time I didn't believe it was a v6
Bertin Aviles yeah my dad has one exactly like this with 260,000 miles. Just gave it a tune up. I was surprised by the low end torque given it's a v6 yet a lone one with all those miles . These definitely aren't bad trucks
abram7117 I had a 01 dodge ram 1500 ext cab 5.2l only thing I liked about the truck was the exhaust which roared with the flowmaster 55 I had on it but for some reason the chevy feels like it gets up and goes a heck of a lot quicker than my dodge did....I'm debating on whether to get a 12 inch glasspack on the chevy or a flowmaster probably 55 or 10 not sure which would sound better and have the duals dumped....I would get tips but don't want to deal with hangers coming off or weld breaking and then hanging loose any ideas?
Im buying a 2002 right now for $3,000. Only has 58,000 miles but it needs intake gaskets, thats something you really have to look out for with these trucks!!!
nice! im trying to get one anybody know what kinda gas mileage i will get with a 99 extended cab 4x4 5.3 silverado? and this is a very good review so i will know what i am getting, i was kinda mad to ind out the backseat was small.... but other than that its ok
Yeah it would make me nervous. Like with the key turned (but not running) it sat at the bottom as it should. If it was a oil pressure sending unit I understand it typically jumps high as soon as you turn the key with the engine off. Maybe it could still be the sending unit or the gauge it self... But I'd likely would shy away from this truck. Not to mention there ridiculous price even for 2013, and retarded labelling (1995, V8)
Well this was back in 2013 so 4 years ago. but still that seems high for 2013. But I've lived in different places where I seen truck prices change dramatically. Before for like $1,500 where I lived before I could get a decent running older high millage truck on the road. Where I am now $1,500 gives you a project truck... So maybe that area loves there trucks.... that dealer may be a bit of a rip off as well... They don't even know how to label things after all....
For 1999 the Base had jump seat , LS has a jump seat option with a center console for extended cab trucks and LT COME with leather heated seats and canter console LT comes with 5.3 , LS comes with 4.3 , 4.8 5.3
Poor kid..he has no clue...That interior layout has not been used since the 80's!! The big change years for design were 88, 91?, 95 etc...but this particular dash design was not in the 80's like junior says!! More like 95-

Here soon, I’ll be turning 18 and I will be using my saved money from work to buy myself one of these. It’ll be my first truck
Wow I'm so glad this guy took more time out of the video to talk about his opinion on the center console rather than the engine 😂
1:19. Love the startup sound in 1999 Silverado. Plan to get one of these
I do too

How much are you asking for this Truck?.
it is water and that means it has a very good motor :)
Engine is a v6 bit the advertisement on the windshield says v8.
Usually I would be all "Ahh this guy is copying saabkyle04", but, I guess if you were doing a car review, that would be the way to go.
