If you are thinking about going to a food bank then you need to go. At first you will feel a bit uncomfortable that feeling will pass after you go a few times. You will be surprised at who all is there. I was nervous the 1st time and I ran into a few people I know. I felt embarrassed. It hit me as I was leaving the pantry. Go soon don't wait you will be so glad you did. Some panties also have household items as well.
I go to a food pantry at a local church twice a month. Sometimes there is meat. Always milk and eggs, canned and fresh fruits and veggies. Once in a great while, bread, but it helps me out because I only get $126.00/month for grocery store foods from SNAP BENEFITS, and that runs out middle of the month and foods are just way too expensive to buy. Luckily, I'm a soup lover and eat that several times a week.
