When you spoke about being a child with a massive amount of long hair that was me. I can honestly say that mine was double the amount that this beautiful young lady has and well past my butt. Thankfully I had two aunts who did hair. They were very loving and patient with me. One owned her own shop and the other worked there too. I went every two weeks because my mom didn’t know what to do with the amount of hair I had. I was also super tender headed too so, no one else wanted to touch it and have me screaming and crying. As an adult years of relaxers and hyperthyroid disease caused it to all fall out in 2010. I’ve been relaxer free since then and it’s been flourishing.. It’s now still super thick but only to the middle of my back. I don’t let it get longer than that because it’s too much trouble to maintain.. It’s expensive to be going to salons because they charge $75-$80 wash, conditioner and a twist out that only lasts one week.. I only get it pressed once a year to get it trimmed. It takes me 4-5 hours to wash, deep condition, detangle and two strand twist it. Then it’s 3-4 days to air dry in warmer weather or 3 hours under my hooded dryer in cold months. Twist stay in for 3 weeks pinned up.
You’re very fortunate to find a stylist to nurture and love on your thick hair. It’s plenty of stylist who are passionate and just genuinely concerned with other peoples well being including the health of their hair. They are hard to find in todays climate. I’m so glad your hair grew back, I’m working with a few clients who have been dealing with hyperthyroid disease and we are learning together what works and how this disease affects our hair. Can you share some tips on how you got your hair to stop shedding? I’d love to pass that on and help other people. You know when it comes to our hair it’s a big deal and confidence booster when it’s at its highest potential.❤️
I have that same comb. I totally agree with you, it's the best for detangling hair. She and her hair are beautiful! I can 'see' how heavy her hair is. it's a blessing. Did you trim her ends? how often do you trim them?
@@CocoaDanielle thank you. I'll set my calendar reminder for trims every 3 months. These single-strand knots and split ends are killing me and I'm tired of it.
Thanks so much for sharing!! My Niece had beautiful thick textured hair. I have shied away from doing her hair because it tangles so easily and don’t want to hurt her. I am a licensed stylist, but haven’t had much training whatsoever with textured hair. My Sister is not a stylist and is @ a loss what to do with her hair. Her Dad, my (BIL) does his best…😬 but I want to be able to help! I’m licensed, I should be able to. Any tips and tricks you have to help. I am all ears!! 💜💜💜
Small sections and a pretty good detangler. Have you tried it’s a 10? It’s pretty heavy so it’s possible to over do it but it typically cuts down our detangling sessions tremendously
my son, has hair like that, and kinky coily. i could never find what would work on detangling it, it drove me nuts. i would literately spend 2hrs every morning detangling it, and an hr later it would knot back up. also every comb i would buy even the unbreakable, would break in his hair
She’s got beautiful hair!
She really does. If she ever cuts it I’m making a wig🥹
@@CocoaDanielle you would 😂
😊Her Smile Told it ALL! Beautiful Work….❤
Right! She loved it🥰

❤️ Yes, she comes every few months for treatments and trims. I’d suggest if you wear your natural curl to trim quarterly.

Beautiful
Her hair actually looks fine to me but it is very dense.
