I have an 11 year old 48" Sentar that has just under 12,000 hours on it. Replaced the motor about 400 hours ago. But still has the original spindles!!!💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
My 2013 Wright Z has 1600 hours on it and has yet to have anything metal on it replaced. Belts and tires only. 2017 Wright ZK the same way. I've mowed for decades and have had much much better luck with Wright mowers than anything else on the market.
Will these new style spindles fit in an older non-aero deck? I have a 36" from 2008 that I would like to put the updated spindles on when the time comes to replace them. It currently has the older style spindles with the snap rings and large washers.
@@MikeDPlxztc right but the grease will only last so long and that's what im wondering... will it all drop out after a few hundred hours and leave the bearing dry???
What’s going on Ed? I hope you read this, just wondering if you guys stopped making the 32” hydro walk-behind? I was looking for it online but only saw the 36” and 48”. Does anybody know if the 32” hydro is discontinued?
Hi there! Yes we discontinued the Velke Hydro 32". This is because the Stander B really replaces the need for a 32" walk-behind in most applications. But, as you mentioned, we do still offer the 36" and 48" Velke HC
@@WrightMowers yes, I have the stander b, (it’s awesome) but did notice it’s not too good when the lawns are wet. It kinda sinks in. I guess because of how heavy it is plus ones own weight. So I thought about the velke walk behind but when I went to get info on it, it was gone. I live in Houston and here you need a 32”. The gates here are so small a 36” wouldn’t fit in the backyards. I was planning on buying the 32” velke for wet lawns only. I never thought they’d get discontinued. ☹️ I know I can always buy a belt driven 32” but they suck lol I had one and they get stuck when the belts get wet.
@@WrightMowers I hope you can help me out with a question. I noticed on my 32” Wright stander B that the right hydro pin was pulled out. The ones that are located under the gas tank. I guess they’re used for when the mower doesn’t start for whatever reason and you have to pull the pins out. Not sure if they’re referred as “pins” but I call them pins. I guess they release pressure so the mower can be pushed when not starting?? Anyway it was pulled out. Don’t know how that happened so I pushed it back in place and put tape over it just to make sure it wouldn’t move anymore. Any idea why it moved on its own and could it mess up the hydro? Not sure how long i had it running like that for.
Hello, I’ve noticed the build up of grass around the down wind side of the spindles. This tells me that there’s turbulence and this allows the build up of grass on the spindles. Maybe adding a small baffle that’s tight to the spindle allowing them to clean up turbulence and promoting better flow and way less accumulation. I’m sure you’ve done air flow Analysis under the decks. Just a thought I’ve had. Great mowers 👍🏻👊🏻
Id like to know what a good torque spec is for tightening a pulley on an aluminum spindle for ferris is 700z. Cant find it anywhere. Dont want to over or under-tighten it and compress bearing etc... Educated guess? What are wright specs on similar spindle pulley? Thanks
Actually spoke to Ferris engineer. They said torque to 120 ft lbs. Ridiculous. There is a belleville? washer that sits between nut and pulley that is domed. Not flat. And 120 crushed said washer flat.. Same Ferris rep tells me that the washer should spring back to its domed shape. Thats why I'm asking Ed. Other dude was an idiot. I even sent photo to the guy of the flattened washer that has yet to spring back.
Call BS on your non serviceable spindle bearing lasting 1000-2000 hours. Mine failed at just over 300 hr. Took them apart and there was no grease left. Bought some new bearings installed a grease zerk and now I got almost 3000 hours on the machine and there still fine. Stop being cheap and install a grease zerk into the spindle during manufacturing

Since its sealed and gravity pulls the grease down how does the top bearing stay lubricated?

First thing he said was there's grease on top of the upper bearing that works its way through the upper bearings top seal as it wears

@@FishFind3000 No the bottom shaft seal Would stop any grease from leaving the housing whatsoever
