I was honestly surprised with how much i enjoyed it they really captured jaime reyes with the personality and the actor. The action was fun and the jokes were silly and the whole pro family message was really touching and cool to see in a superhero movie. Now i just hope it does enough to merit that sequel they teased

I 100% agree with your review. Refreshing to have a main character who’s a pacifist but in deadly armor makes for naturally a whole lot of situational comedy. Xolo is amazing and brings a balance of integrity and politeness, not cockiness as we’re so used to seeing in heroes. George Lopez was the best supporting character as Uncle Rudy and Milagro the sister was hilarious. I used to have the same HP platform sign til I had to donate it when I moved to a smaller space.
I haven't watched the movie, but from what you said, sounds like it's pretty accurate to the comics, where the Scarab basically wants to solve everything by destroying it and Jaime has to stop it.
I'm Mexican and there were moments in the movie that made me smile because I could relate to those moments and I really hit a special place in my heart

I saw this movie way back in February before the vfx was done. It was like 80% done. It was a surprise screening that I attended at WB and I couldn't talk about it to anybody for 6 months other than my sister. It was rough holding it in 😭😭 We both loved it so much and couldn't wait to see it again!! 🔥🔥 I was so happy hearing Los Tucanes de Tijuana in the beginning as someone who grew up listening to them. Him being Mexican felt natural and wasn't forced. The grandma was a standout for me! 😂 and the emotional moments got me tearing up 🥺
I saw the Blue Beetle movie on the 17th the night before the movie came out and the last DC movie I enjoyed watching in theaters was Aquaman. Blue Beetle is a 10/10 gonna see again in theaters again (if I can)
I actually never knew this movie existed and for that I never saw a single like a marketing trailer. I only knew of this movie in this channel in all honesty. I watched it yesterday and I agree it is a good, fun movie in terms of superhero movies.
My thoughts of the movie since having seen it last night. This movie is AMAZING! Crazy of it to outdo stuff like the flash. Scenes like nana with the blaster even made my mom laugh like crazy. I’m so glad the family had its own place in the movie and weren’t regulated to side character’s. MY ONLY COMPLAINT, Jaime didn’t talk with the scarab outside of being in suit which bothers me because having loved young justice I saw Jaime having witty banter with the scarab even while he was just in his street clothes. Also the suit voice felt more robotic , like a female Jarvis and less of a alien entity of its own will. It was nice how it tried to show the scarab would do what it wants at first when it was going to kill omac.. but suddenly Jaime just saying “ we aren’t killers “ is enough to over right it’s programming? 🙄🙄

It really bums me out to see the weak box office results, this movie deserves so much better. I haven’t walked out smiling out of a DC film in years. It was truly fun and full of heart. I can’t help but think that the weak box office numbers are gonna stunt the film’s chances to get a sequel. But boy, I would absolutely love a sequel.
So glad I’m not the only person who loved this movie, the critic reception has been abysmal. It’s the best blend of tokusatsu movies, 80’s sci-fi & action flicks, and latino indie films. Everyone who vibes with any of that or phase 1 Marvel NEEDS to go get tickets.

I didn't expect that to happen since the trailer showed Jamie Reyes Blue_Beetle fighting against Victoria Kord and Conrad Carapax while keeping his family safe. After seeing Jamie lose his Dad, I wanted to see him beat the crap out of Victoria Kord since she doesn't care about who gets hurt just so she can succeed in her mad experiments
Loved the movie! I’ve been telling everybody I know to go see the movie. I’m going to definitely see it again this week. Hopefully I can get lucky and get that Beatle popcorn bucket.

Duuuuuuuuuuuude!!!! So funny I was thinking Vicks vapor rub and then Aris said it! There are a lot of things in the movie that I related to even as a black man growing up in America. I also have a lot of Hispanic friends Mexican and Puerto Rican and growing up around them I also saw a lot of similarities and memorable things that made this movie so relatable and so funny!!

Tool my kiddo to see this today 8/19 and we both enjoyed the hell outta this movie. Fantastic effects and the mood really hit home . My kiddo is 6 and even he said the movie almost made him cry. I highly recommend
Before I hear what you guys rate BB I watched it last night at Edwards in 4DX and while no 3D glasses were needed Blue Beatle was a hell of a ride, quite literally for me on all of the flight and fight scenes. Me personally going in with low expectations I was shocked how good this was, like better than seeing Shazam for the first time! Easily an 8/10 and I hope there’s a sequel on the horizon.

Being Mexican the movie did a good job with the dialog. Everything said there is 100 percent said in a Mexican house hold and the strong family dynamic is a big thing in our culture! In my family if you mess with one of us you have 20 of my cousins who you’ll be beefing it with too! That and the chapulin cameo was great! Definitely the best DC movie that has been released.
I always have opinions on superhero movies but I genuinely wait for a Variant Comics video to come out so I can digest the movie with their commentary all over again!! Blue Beetle was fun, culturally accurate, and so damn awesome! Let’s go DC!!

I watched this with friends and like you guys also surprised us. It was so good that I watched it again with my wife this time who does not really get into these superhero movies like I do but the fact she did not fall asleep on this one says it all. I already knew though she will love it due to the family dynamic, comedy scenes, sad scenes (she cried) and the action scenes. Overall it was a really great.
Been waiting for this since I like Xolo in cobra kai as Miguel, and man Blue Beetle was fantastic!! I loved it beginning to end. Also Xolotl is a nahuatl name of quetzalcoatl brother, the x should make a "sh" sound so pronounced sho-lotl. This is where the aztec hair less dog get their name Xolo escuincle.
When I saw this movie my theater was packed. I saw it with 7 of my friends and we all loved it. And to see a Guatemalan character (the villain) like me was just so cool in my opinion. Some of the comedy didn't hit for me but it was still a great watch.
Saw first showing Thursday 2pm. I already had a sense this was going to be great. Didn't disappoint the weaker elements of the film weren't that bad. I'll probably go see it again.
I’m not going to waste any time here and just get right to it. I think Blue Beetle is one of the best DC live action movies to date. Does it reinvent the wheel? No it doesn’t, but what this movie did do was make me actually feel something and I can honestly say the last time I truly felt emotionally invested in a DCEU movie was way back in 2017 with Wonder Woman.

Best Super Hero film I have seen in years. Great characters, a proper story, CGI polished, tears, laughter, action it had everything! Cinema I went to was half full which in this day and age is a good result! Loads more than I have seen for Marvel & DC movies over the last few years (apart from latest SM film) Antman 3 and Wakanda Forever were poor IMO.......Solid 9/10 for me. And I'm going to see it again........haven't done that since the 1980's
I agree Blue Beetle was better than Shang-Chi and Homecoming. In fact, this is my favorite DCU movie 😅. I know it's the only DCU movie so far if we classify this under DCU because of James Gunn's comment that Blue Beetle is the first character in the new DCU... let's hope he meant Xolo Mariduena's Jaime Reyes' Blue Beetle and not some other variation (Ted Kord, Dan Garrett). When I first watched Cobra Kai back on the TH-cam Red days, I remember immediately thinking he would make a great Jaime Reyes and I am so glad he proved I was correct!
Just got out of it and bro I LOVED it. I honestly got emotional with some of the family parts. I’m not a fan of all these supe movies more recently having regular civilians join in on fighting bad guys (i.e. the kids in Thor 4 🤮, Black Adam, etc) but that brief 15 min sequence was the only part I struggled to take in
Blue beetle is one of the most fantastic movies of this era in past Dceu films like Shazam and Aquaman, and there might be part two coming up years later on, as I seen one of the Previous Blue beetle heroes before him🪲🪲.
Perhaps we'll see more great Blue Beetle villains on the big screen soon. Black Beetle, The Reach, The Madniks and Jarvis Kord, to name a few. And, of course, the most legendary and dangerous Blue Beetle villain of them all: Big Dix!

I wouldn’t say cobra Kai is cheesy I’d just say it’s some dumb funny moments, but you want to talk about heart and wanting to overcome that’s what karate kid is about, he’s great as Miguel and was awesome as blue beetle, I just hope the good reviews keep coming in, need this movie to get some type of sequel or see this character again just can’t end, way too fun of a character
I really I can say it's fresh breath air I didn't feel like it wasn't rushed. I love the effects of how they made the Beatle infused Jaime and I will say this if you are a fan of power rangers or kamen rider this movie is up there
Such a good film! I believe they’ll green light a sequel especially with this being a streaming movie originally and how solid of a foundation this film is, the vfx the use of characters the motivations all great 👌!
Not Latino here but it’s very relatable if your parents immigrated to this country and had to take physically demanding low income jobs just to make sure the family gets by and the kids get a better future. Makes you appreciate your family more.

Don't care what other people because it's a DC movie and it's gonna bombed out like Black Adam, Shazam 2, and The Flash. Sorry to say anybody can be a movie critic and your entitled to your own opinion. Personally, I really enjoyed the movie. Carapax reminds me of the yellow jacket from the first Antman movie.
Xolo is Jaime Reyes as RDJ is Tony Stark. Perfect casting. Fun Movie. Gave me OG Iron Man vibes. Not up to Iron Man standards, but closer than anything Marvel has been pushing out.

I went to see it tonight and actually thought it was pretty good waaaay better than I thought. I'll definitely say it's a must watch.

Duuuuuuuuuuuude!!!! So funny I was thinking Vicks vapor rub and then Aris said it! There are a lot of things in the movie that I related to even as a black man growing up in America. I also have a lot of Hispanic friends Mexican and Puerto Rican and growing up around them I also saw a lot of similarities and memorable things that made this movie so relatable and so funny!!
When I first saw the trailer I said to my son this looks like a Nickelodeon film but now I’m interested in seeing it after this review
It’s interesting, the trailer doesn’t do the movie justice. They really did great with the characters n that just let the movie sink in so easily

been seeing different reviews, and this is the most positive one ive seen, gonna go see it sometime this week, the ones ive seen that are positive come from comicbook channels like urs and comicbookcast2, who just focus on comicbooks and its media

Before I hear what you guys rate BB I watched it last night at Edwards in 4DX and while no 3D glasses were needed Blue Beatle was a hell of a ride, quite literally for me on all of the flight and fight scenes. Me personally going in with low expectations I was shocked how good this was, like better than seeing Shazam for the first time! Easily an 8/10 and I hope there’s a sequel on the horizon.

I wasn’t surprised I liked the movie a lot but man how the grandma acted in certain scenes really hit him when my grandma was alive she would do the same made me miss her more but yeah it was a great movie and yes! Finally a Mexican superhero
I'm Puerto Rican, Italian and Irish 😂 but this movie was great. I really hope word of mouth helps boost the box office for this.

Both films are an odd mix of deep cut comic book references and in-name-only character adaptations, so I guess that is indeed an apt comparison.
Being Mexican the movie did a good job with the dialog. Everything said there is 100 percent said in a Mexican house hold and the strong family dynamic is a big thing in our culture! In my family if you mess with one of us you have 20 of my cousins who you’ll be beefing it with too! That and the chapulin cameo was great! Definitely the best DC movie that has been released.

I always have opinions on superhero movies but I genuinely wait for a Variant Comics video to come out so I can digest the movie with their commentary all over again!! Blue Beetle was fun, culturally accurate, and so damn awesome! Let’s go DC!!
This movie really was so good and I’d have to say my favorite part really was the Beetle ship thing. Them storming that place was very cool tho. I’ve always saw Blue Beetle as basically DC’s Spider-Man for sure
I watched this with friends and like you guys also surprised us. It was so good that I watched it again with my wife this time who does not really get into these superhero movies like I do but the fact she did not fall asleep on this one says it all. I already knew though she will love it due to the family dynamic, comedy scenes, sad scenes (she cried) and the action scenes. Overall it was a really great.
Been waiting for this since I like Xolo in cobra kai as Miguel, and man Blue Beetle was fantastic!! I loved it beginning to end.
Also Xolotl is a nahuatl name of quetzalcoatl brother, the x should make a "sh" sound so pronounced sho-lotl. This is where the aztec hair less dog get their name Xolo escuincle.

When I saw this movie my theater was packed. I saw it with 7 of my friends and we all loved it. And to see a Guatemalan character (the villain) like me was just so cool in my opinion. Some of the comedy didn't hit for me but it was still a great watch.
Saw first showing Thursday 2pm. I already had a sense this was going to be great. Didn't disappoint the weaker elements of the film weren't that bad. I'll probably go see it again.

I’m not going to waste any time here and just get right to it. I think Blue Beetle is one of the best DC live action movies to date. Does it reinvent the wheel? No it doesn’t, but what this movie did do was make me actually feel something and I can honestly say the last time I truly felt emotionally invested in a DCEU movie was way back in 2017 with Wonder Woman.

Best Super Hero film I have seen in years. Great characters, a proper story, CGI polished, tears, laughter, action it had everything! Cinema I went to was half full which in this day and age is a good result! Loads more than I have seen for Marvel & DC movies over the last few years (apart from latest SM film) Antman 3 and Wakanda Forever were poor IMO.......Solid 9/10 for me. And I'm going to see it again........haven't done that since the 1980's

I agree Blue Beetle was better than Shang-Chi and Homecoming. In fact, this is my favorite DCU movie 😅. I know it's the only DCU movie so far if we classify this under DCU because of James Gunn's comment that Blue Beetle is the first character in the new DCU... let's hope he meant Xolo Mariduena's Jaime Reyes' Blue Beetle and not some other variation (Ted Kord, Dan Garrett). When I first watched Cobra Kai back on the TH-cam Red days, I remember immediately thinking he would make a great Jaime Reyes and I am so glad he proved I was correct!

Just got out of it and bro I LOVED it. I honestly got emotional with some of the family parts. I’m not a fan of all these supe movies more recently having regular civilians join in on fighting bad guys (i.e. the kids in Thor 4 🤮, Black Adam, etc) but that brief 15 min sequence was the only part I struggled to take in

Blue beetle is one of the most fantastic movies of this era in past Dceu films like Shazam and Aquaman, and there might be part two coming up years later on, as I seen one of the Previous Blue beetle heroes before him🪲🪲.
Perhaps we'll see more great Blue Beetle villains on the big screen soon. Black Beetle, The Reach, The Madniks and Jarvis Kord, to name a few.
And, of course, the most legendary and dangerous Blue Beetle villain of them all: Big Dix!

I wouldn’t say cobra Kai is cheesy I’d just say it’s some dumb funny moments, but you want to talk about heart and wanting to overcome that’s what karate kid is about, he’s great as Miguel and was awesome as blue beetle, I just hope the good reviews keep coming in, need this movie to get some type of sequel or see this character again just can’t end, way too fun of a character

I really I can say it's fresh breath air I didn't feel like it wasn't rushed. I love the effects of how they made the Beatle infused Jaime and I will say this if you are a fan of power rangers or kamen rider this movie is up there

Not Latino here but it’s very relatable if your parents immigrated to this country and had to take physically demanding low income jobs just to make sure the family gets by and the kids get a better future. Makes you appreciate your family more.
I saw the movie today, and I think it was great!!! I was in mix of emotions watching it. Don't care what other people because it's a DC movie and it's gonna bombed out like Black Adam, Shazam 2, and The Flash. Sorry to say anybody can be a movie critic and your entitled to your own opinion. Personally, I really enjoyed the movie. Carapax reminds me of the yellow jacket from the first Antman movie.
Best DC origin movie in a long time. Best CBM this year. 9/10.

Xolo is Jaime Reyes as RDJ is Tony Stark. Perfect casting. Fun Movie. Gave me OG Iron Man vibes. Not up to Iron Man standards, but closer than anything Marvel has been pushing out.
