I have 4 planes with this flight controller. At about $40, a great deal and easy to set up. The gains at about 11 o’clock works pretty well. Don’t need much.
I see that you look like you are running the open TX system. I don't know much about it, but I seen it on the flight test store web site. : ) I was thinking about getting a transmitter. I am researching into it.
Thanks for the video, nice flight. I bought such a ZOHD, it's on its way. Question: If in the middle of the flight you turn off the device, and there is no connection between the device and ZOHD, does it return home automatically?
when in RTH due to failsafe, the kopilot should take the plane home and not leaving inputs to the pilot once regained control... let s say you are on your way back from a FS and your camera is burnt, what happens one the receivers regains control and you have no video signal? not nice at all..
You are correct. The Fail-Safe RTH does not latch to RTH and will oscillate between RTH and the transmitter mode selected at the limits of signal. This system is designed as an FPV set-up and you must switch to Tx selected RTH at any sign of trouble. You should also set your Fail-Safes for Throttle Kill and gentle Aileron turn since, in the unlikely event of GPS loss, the RTH reverts to "Altitude Hold" and your plane could just fly away if signal connection is lost.

Yup! 11o'clock is where I've ended as well and it is good :) Definitely worth it for the peace of mind when flying. 👍😍

Thanks Bear! This is an awesome flyer. Something different you know. That’s why I’m installing this flight controller in my other plane :) 🎄🎄🎄😍👌👍🍺
Brilliant video thank you for making it. What way did you set your failsafe on your transmitter? Was it custom?
Thanks for watching! Yes it is custom. I also did a setup video and explain how to set it up. th-cam.com/video/zVRxeyqzXaA/w-d-xo.html

I wish they would sell this model rtf?
Yeah, they should. Not everyone wants to "make it work". 🍺🍺
@@RCEscape Yes, do you have a recommend affordable radio with good distance and failsafe mode for this model? Other than the tx16s

My latest video.
osd should have had altitude and distance from home
