I've got one of these. It's a comfortable car if quite dull. I don't find the around town fuel economy very good but it's far better on longer journeys. The turbo lag is quite bad in first gear. I've had mine for 6 years now, it's been pretty reliable generally, only major problem being a failed fuel injector (common on diesels).
Nice one, thank you for sharing your personal experience.
Great review that was unexpected at the end will be interesting in what you do next
Thank you.
It was the only car I owned that I initially liked, but quickly disliked despite its qualities.
Nice work Gentil.
I remember when MPV's in all sizes looked set ro take over the world before we got stuck with SUV's. MPV's were ao inivative that even oeoplw who sint like them find them interesting.
I had a Laguna 2 which had thise blinds built unto the hack doors which was a neet touch.
Thank you Mark. It was certainly a different time and funny how the MPVs lasted about 20 years. Mind you, before MPVs it was the hatchback and before it was the saloon. Sign of times I think.
The Lagunas were very good cars.
I think these cars a very well sort out. Same size as a focus or a Megane but has much more space. Yes the MK3 was a bit dull, the gearbox, timing belt and electrics will drive you up the wall but quality was a much better step up than the MK2
Yes, that's the same feedback I get from other users.
Well those issues can be fixed. I made over 100k kilometers without those issues
Yeah, i'm not so keen on the rear of the STD Mk3 I think the grand looks a little better (even the MK2's better) looks a little better and they definately sorted it out by the MK4
I completely agree
I think it can be a good family car for non-car people. For me, I prefer a station wagon much more. Also, I really don't like centrally mounted instrument binnacles.
Me too and also not a fan of centre instrument clusters, except on a Mini.
I had a go at having an MPV with this one and I wouldn't buy one again. Maybe a S-Max, but I rather have a large hatchback or estate now.
We now have a 2005 Renault Scenic, and we want to buy a 1.2 TCe 130 Scenic after this one. How's the reliability? Sound isolation?
I don't know much about the 1.2tce, but sound insulation on these cars is good
It is a nice, spaceaus car. I have one. I hate it.... I don't know why. It's just not a car car. I miss my Laguna.
Either you watched the whole video or read my mind word for word.
I also miss having a car I enjoy driving and owning
I miss my Laguna too.
