However the 100m final the other day is now probably the best 100m final ever, winning time was not slow at all with everyone finishing under 10s and almost within 0.1s of each other is just insane.

He not only broke the record, but injected unseen charisma and showboatint, and also the never ending question about what could have happened. All of that os even monetizable. It adds to his appeal. The 1988 race was also not in the video. The winners of the 2004 (J.Gatlin) and 1988 (B.Johnson) races failed their drug tests and were stripped of their medals. This is why those races were not shown because it projected a false performance of natural speed.
