This is a good method of evangelising, but can be dangerous when those who are winning the souls are not strong enough in the spirit... I believe babes in the spirit should not be introduce to this as the may not be able to guard their souls against the worldly pleasures that will entice them. First Corinthians 12-14 is all about the proper use of spiritual gifts. Paul writes to the Corinthian church to correct the improper use of some gifts and the improper emphasis they put on certain of the more “spectacular” gifts. Right in the middle of his discussion, he speaks about the superior quality of love. Even though the Corinthian church was very gifted, they were not using their gifts in love for each other. Paul goes on to say that all of the various gifts will one day cease to function, but love will never fail. The question that many struggle with is just when these gifts will cease. Paul gives the answer in the text: “when completeness comes” (1 Corinthians 13:10).
First Corinthians 13:8-10: “Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.” In the KJV, the tongues “will cease.” In other words, at some point after Paul wrote 1 Corinthians, the gift of tongues would no longer be in use.
@@jaceknows247pretty much anyone can speak in tongues in the spirit. It’s jibberish to us here on earth. No one can understand what is being said. But you speak it and pray it in the spirit. You speak in “tounges” to praise the Lord to pray to the Lord when you have no words but you have the desire In your spirit. God Bless you, I hope that helps a bit.

But I heard of people speaking in tongues also when they get demon possessed... i guess it just bothers me that theres a similarity to something so dark and evil...i personally dont see myself speaking in tongues, God permitting i reach such a level of healing others, just use normal words...
@@jaceknows247 you’re right and I can agree on your view on that. The Bible also says to speak in tounges in private with the father instead of public so I also agree with you on that. The main thing is to study the word so that you can get your own understanding instead of relying on other people to teach you. I’m still in a learning process myself. I encourage you to start reading the Bible. I recommend you start in the book of Mathew which is the first book of the New Testament. May God guide you brother. May God open your spiritual eyes and ears to accept the salvation that Jesus has given us through his sacrifice. By the way, the book of Acts is where I recall the first time that the topic of tounges is mentioned.
