  • A recent episode of MwafreekaTalks dives into Nairobi's governance, specifically Governor Sakaja's controversial revenue streams and plans for more studios in the county. The show, featuring Mwafreeka and Ian, exposes concerns around the legality of these revenue sources and their effectiveness. MwafreekaTalks argues for prioritizing existing artistic talent by advocating for affordable internet and electricity instead of studio saturation. The episode emphasizes the importance of supporting meaningful development that uplifts the entire community.

I agree with your rant 💯💯
But the irony/ hypocrisy of the rant is the fact that people tend to only “ see the light “ when they are not the beneficiaries of these PR stunts. At this point, Mwaf is super angry/ emotional about “ celebs” being part of the PR but I remember you guys were super excited when you were invited to Statehouse for the launch of the affordable housing shit; you were talking about waiting for the call from Itumbi so you can be paid to “push the project to the youths.”
Another irony is that two guys have sat emotionally talking about the need for the youth to participate in substantial activities while they are advertising a betting company 🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️🤦🏿‍♂️.
Moreover, during the early days of the podcast, Mwaff was always highlighting how he was not interested in interviewing people with “ questionable characters,” - he specifically called out the Babu. But now “ controversial business people” are coming to the show. And he is not asking them the hard questions - source of wealth.
I am sure if Sakaja asks to come to the show, Mwaff will suck up to him big time. We have seen it with the controversial businessman.
End the rant by at least acknowledging your hypocrisy Mwaff.

A bit of truth in your sentiments. However, you have to learn to face the devil, "the so-called controversial businessmen and politicians," in order to get their perspective on how they freely operate in impunity. Only then can we know the loopholes they use, their "questionable character" and the solution to the problem we continue facing. To infer that they shouldn't be interviewed is just but a wrong way of doing it.

The biggest qualm in Kenya is our poor upbringing. If you were a minor in the 20th century, your parents were tribalists. We are practically brought up like goats, regardless of economic background. Kenyan culture is toxic & puts tribe first, disallowing any critical thinking. As minors, we were also brainwashed with fictional European & Arab cults (Christianity & Islam). We have been completely dominated & enslaved by white supremacy since birth. A country that lacks genuine patriotism & promotes corruption at every level, as long as there is financial gain. Gen Z is starting to comprehend that useless prayers don't help. We as a people need to hold each other accountable, make connections based on integrity & value, & most significantly vote based on merit. I agree with mwaf, Miguna would transform Nairobi. Unfortunately, because he's not corrupt & won't bribe, he can't win a powerful leadership position. As of now, Kenyans are going to continue to suffer, they deserve the consequences of their votes. END TRIBALISM NOW!!!
