    Do not buy this if you can not afford it, it's nice to have but not needed. If you want to go into serious debt before you even start your business them this is the way. Starting out you will not sell a bunch of shirts because no one knows you, plus if you plan on making a lot of shirts the machine takes forever to make one. There are many other ways to get into this business without spending the money for a car. This dude is a salesman, nothing more

      It depends on where you are in your business. For examplen if your already busy as hell with say embroidery . It could be a good idea to add this as a supplement to your embroidery business even if you arent busy right away with it ..
      But it depends on the person some people might do really good and some people might not ..
      Key is product research... do people want your products ??? You need to know what the people want . That's the biggest mistake I see people make . Selling things no one wants

    First of all who is going to pay $20 for a T-shirt nowadays? They're printing single shirts for $15 at the malls bro. I'm selling T-shirts online and after the costs and everything I'm lucky if I clear $6 profit. Your videos are usually very informative and I appreciate that. But this one does not have realistic numbers in my opinion.

      It's true but your probably not marketing well. You tried Facebook campaigns? Invest money in social media targeted add's. Build a network of regular customers. Eventually, that will lead to hot sales and repeated Back 2 Back sales daily.

    Wish I would finance that printer. $14000- $17000 for a t shirt printer🤔. That's starting off in super debt and trying to cover $450 a month. In a market where you can get a custom tshirt online anyway for any price. There are only so many local businesses that need tshirts ..... let alone from you. I'm trying to figure out how we are justifying the price of this printer for any start up tshirt business?

    I don't usually write a comment but i'll do for this one
    Please think more before you get into DTG
    1-DTG it is not just expensive the maintenance is too much too
    2- you have to keep the white ink printing if you stop for couple of days you will have to do a head clearing that will take third of the cartages or worst you will lose the printing head
    3- print head is around 2000$ and there is a big chance that you will change it ones or twice a year if you don't print everyday
    If you print 30-50 tshirts a day everyday it is a good choice but if you do less I prefer plastisol heat transfers

    Dtg and dye sublimation are all great businesses if you have customer's already lined up. You can literally start a business with little to no money by doing a drop shipment business (ds). In a ds business you don't have to worry about financing anything, supplies, or worrying about where to store everything. Please everyone, just do yourself a favor and watch some of the videos on TH-cam about drop shipment. You will be amazed how easy it is compared to this option.

    It depends on many factors: tshirt color, size of prints, and quantity of items to be printed. The realization of the project is also based on the quantity request and the subject to be printed! You can not sell everything at 20- $ 25, because it will also depend very much on the size of the design that will be printed on the jersey ... Take into account the consumables (inks-periodic maintenance-cleaning .. etc ..) and the fact that you will need a hot press or a fan oven to fix the prints (another 1000 dollars)

    I would not suggest newbies start off with this concept. You need to build your customers first to have the business pay that $450 monthly payment so it won't come out your personal money. If you are not making $450 a week yet in sales don't try this at home! Plus dude didn't factor in cost of reinvesting into business monthly. Such as, t-shirts, ink, electricity, marketing so monthly profits would not truly be what he stated. Great concept just not for newbies and those still struggling to get to 10 sales per day.

      If you map out your business plan first then you won't have a hard time starting out. Have a facebook, IG, Website and business cards ready to go. Make sure you have friends and people in your local social bubble knowing that you are about to go into T-shirts. You launch that at the same time along with your friends and family helping you promote, you should be good. Best thing is to talk to schools k-12. That's automatic customers off the top. Undercut whomever they are doing business with meaning if they are using some online print shop. Thats how I did it

    You def need a customer base before you begin, best bet call Local small businesses, especially landscapers, find out what the local printers are charging, quote prices low but still make a profit. More for less is better than less for more. Be able to design, send samples. Bulk shirts on eBay. Ink on Amazon. It's a good business. Low overhead. Make what you need, no warehouse.

    buying a new dtg with a warranty has its advantages. the only advantage you get when buying a dtg without a warranty is the price. I agree with the comments that say people who can't sell a shirt for $20 is because their designs suck. it could be a number of reasons why you have poor sales. the top reasons why people fail in dtg are their designs suck and poor advertising. when people go to the mall they tend to spend a lot more on shirts. if I like the design on the shirt I buy it. now a days I design and print my own shirts. artists sell their designs online to dtg businesses. after you establish a dedicated clientele you can do dropshipping.

    People make it sound easy! The maintenance on DTG is crazy. If you don't print often the machine clogs and you get other problems. Don't put up over 80.000 dollars if you are not sure that you would print almost every single day with the machine doing big orders because otherwise the maintenance and investment would outweigh the profit. Ink is expensive and if it dries it would not be fun for you. You need expensive software too.

    After watching few videos on this channel. This guy provides valuable information for people that want to get into this. However it is not as easy as you think it is after watching this video. The T shirt printing business is very competitive these days and he is not mentioning all the cost and hardship involved. The way I figured is, he is telling us some good information in the hopes we listen to him and some of us clicks on the links etc. and he gets his commissions. He is diversifying his income which makes sense, since mom and pops shops are coming to malls and online last 10 years or so.
    What does that mean for people getting in?
    Well, hectic month's or years for you. Why do I say that? Because you need to Wiggle before you Crawl, Crawl before you walk and walk before you run! DTG printing will put you in a dept that you will have hard time getting out of. Start small, stay lean then upgrade as you get clients/cash flow. Unless you have established clients/contracts or demand, stay away from these ones for the time being.

I like the ink wells versus the ink cartages that cost an arm and a leg. It prints quickly and the quality is excellent. It shuts off when not in use, so you have to remember to turn it on. Overall, it exceeds my expectations. I'll update my review in a couple of months.

    17,000 ÷ $20 = 850 tshirts to break even and that's not including ink or t-shirt blanks, or shipping fees etc.... if you have to ask if a $17,000 dollar printer is too expensive then clearly it's too expensive

  • @irizarrylumi
    @irizarrylumi 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Well he's off by alot because if you get the right machine you can pay up to $0.32 per print you know he's just giving you a rough estimate so you guys get a idea. but I don't think it should cost $5 to make a shirt, including the shirt to ink everything it might be $3.50 at the most you need a anejet printer. it prints a big print in 2 minutes...

      You're forgetting about the maintenance and the fact that if you clog or worse if you break a print head, the cost to repair it goes from $ 250 to $ 2,000 for only 4 white printing heads !!! Maintenance is essential for these machines ... they are very delicate, and if you do not have them printed for a few days, the ink and the printing nozzles will be greatly affected, with the relative expense of money mentioned above

    There's a lot of math missing here. How much does your web hosting cost? How much is it costing you to get this shirt to your customers? Not many people actually start at 10-20 shirts a day either.
    I would rather you take your costs and see how many shirts you HAVE to sell to break even.

    If anyone doesn't think ahead, they are really going to regret it. Here's the straight truth, about this. It's Tech. Tech has a useful supported shelf life of MAYBE 3 years. Think about it. Are you running your life on an iPhone 5 or something newer? How many support options do you have today on an iPhone 5 if it gets an issue? The same with laptops. These tech always looks great out of the box, but with planned obsolescence, market factors that drive prices DOWN, and the NEED for every business to keep adapting to get better, the shelf life of any unit diminishes drastically. Here's where the flaw is. You're married to this old machine for the next 5 years.
    Advances, price drops? You're on the outside looking in. The "costs of running a business" do not stop at your printing. How are you going to sell those 25 a day, to make that $? Not via osmosis. You have to promote and market. Think that's free? Think it wont eat up a significant amount of your money? Try getting into the T Shirt game where other established brands are outplaying you to get marketing focus. If I were going to jump on this, I'd plan my leap just AS another newer and better model were dropping. Because that makes the model I'm investing in...old, BUT I'm not paying what I would have otherwise, and that offsets my personal business investment, by perhaps a lot.
    Especially as tech continues to improve and as long as I am willing to pay that way lower price, I can step into the game with an older model and it takes less to be viable. The think with mechanical screen presses, is, they are mechanical. You could be printing with a press made in 1990, and no ones going to know as long as its been maintained, and mechanical parts can still be found. Tech dies. Tech is simply replaced. How many of you are using a version of Illustrator from 2012? Why not? Because we always think we need the latest. In a few years, your Ferrari DTG, is a relic. You can't think just about today, you have to think about tomorrow as well. This video is smoke n mirrors as to what the true value and "costs" could be, as well as the life cycle of the equipment/support. Why do you think warranties only last 1 year? Don't be foolish. See products for what they are.

      $15,000-$30,000 is the standard pricing vicinity for DTG printers. For $500, all you're going to find are unreliable DIY printers and faulty Chinese printers with no consistent suppliers for ink, cleaners, or pretreatment. Play it smart, not cheap!!!

    LOL, this guy is nothing more than a lying salesman. $25/shirt? Haha. He is living in a fantasy world. He needs to use real numbers. Ink is expensive and electricity and machine repairs/maintenance. You might get $20/shirt if it's a high quality one. And what will you do when your t-shirt seller raises their prices from $3/shirt to say...$3.25/shirt? And what if your sales drop? Etc etc etc. Don't pay $450/month for this crap, there are less expensive options out there.

    • @user-jg4ci4mf8w
      @user-jg4ci4mf8w 5 ปีที่แล้ว
