    After we searched through alot of different brands and models of shirts we went with Bella Canvas. They were good but the biggest complaint was the neck streaches after about 5 washes. Even being very gentle with the washing & hang drying. Next level is what we have been going with for the last 3 years. The customers love them!

    I personally use Next Level for my t shirts merch! Next Level is soft, very well made and I think is better than canvas. I feel like this guy is being super bias in this video and has a love for canvas, especially since he said he's even been to their manufacturing company. I also use canvas for my hoodies merch and the first day I got it the strings completely came out and I can't get it back in. So canvas doesn't really hold up that well based on my hoodie experience. Also if you look online there are more videos and people who prefer to use Next Level oppose to canvas.

      Why would he not be bias? Their manufacturing process is better, they are made in the US, they are more form fit, they have 3X as many colors available. Seems to make sense to me.

      Next level is a much better choice for men. The Bella Canvas has a narrow fit at the shoulders. It’s fine for women but most men do NOT like the fit. Too tight around the shoulders and even feels tight in the armpits. Also. The BC neck stretches out and ends up looking really bad

    I print on alot of both brands and both are really nice shirts and print well. My clients love both but seem to prefer next level fit, their shirts are definitely a retail fit and not boxy at all.. . Both shirts fit well. I sell more next level.

      I’m just starting my t-shirt business, and am wondering about both Bella Canvas and Next Level. Are they tight-fit? For example, would someone that wears a Large need to order an XL to be comfortable? If someone has a belly, will either of these brands stick and form to the belly, or will there be some breathing room? Thanks in advance!!

      I agree. He’s more bias to Bella because he’s sponsored by them. To make a decision you would have to be neutral.

      Im not a shirt busainess owner but I ordered a few because of my HS team that I coach... I was expecting Bella Canvas to be good because of the reviews and online praises. Boy was I wrong... Maybe it's their sizing that is too small (I ordered Mediums for myself to try it out... didn';t try a Large) but the fit was horrible. NL shirt was just amazing. It looked almost tailored to perfection. Loved it. B+C felt more like a hipsters super tight shirt - but then again it might be their sizing is smaller than NLs ... +Big Shrimp Entertainment from my experience B+C definitely fits on the smaller side. Im a Medium, even though I have broad shoulders and am fit ... the BC medium it looked ridiculous on me ... my shoulders could almost rupture the seams. Next Level was just like a glove. Felt amazing too. So BC definitely wears on the smaller size in my opinion.
      Oh and btw, I like tighter shirts/fits but BC was too much

    Thanks for the comparison. Would it be correct to conclude, if someone is athletic and in good shape, the Bella Canvas might be a more flattering look? But if someone has an average body with a little extra belly fat, the Next Level might be more forgiving?

    5’7” 145lb lean athletic build. Bought a size small from both companies to compare.
    IMO the Next Level tees are way too baggy for me and also hung too low. The BC fit like a glove. They’re very form fitting around the chest and shoulders and looked “sleeker” even tho both use a near identical cotton/poly blend.
    I bought like 25 in several different colors b/c that’s how satisfied I am lol.
    Very very nice wardrobe basic

    Took Bella canvas 3001 to the gym twice same tee, and collar held.

    Another difference between Bella Canvas and the Next Level is that the NL 3600 is cut a but longer than the BC. That's one thing I'd like to see changed with the NL 3600. I've had some specific comments about that from mostly women, who say the NL runs a bit long and a littler bigger than the BC. Another thing is the white tees. Out of the NL 3600, the BC 3001C, and the Gildan Softstyle tee, the NL is not as transparent. I personally don't like the white tees to be too see through. It makes the tee look cheap. The NL is the best out of the 3 for white tees, but I just don't like the length as much as the other two. Anyone else have thoughts on these points?

    One thing I find hit or miss with many of these T-shirts are the shoulders. I always get the same size and some fit great while others will have this bump on the shoulder (you can kind of see it on the Next Level mannequin) due to stitching being a bit off I'm guessing. Its annoying because there's no way to fix it, its just random bad fits. I haven't tried Bella Canvas yet but for Next Level I've ordered about 8 shirts all the same size and 4 of them fit great while the other 4 of them had that bad shoulder bump or the arm holes were way to stretched and stuck out awkwardly. But my guess is Bella would have the same problem, just a mass produced type situation i'm guessing.

    I purchased bella canvas, next level, gildan, allmade, and 2 more different blank brands. Bella and Next Level came out on top but I prefer Next Level for the tshirts. I found it more fitted then Bella and Next Level is actually marketed as "athletic fit". I did both with Bella for my tanks and womans sleeveless Tees.

    • @grimdesigns
      @grimdesigns 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes I did see it. Your video was pretty clear and informative. I like both Bella Canvas and Next Level. That's what intrigued me to watch your video in the first place and I saw both blanks in the video. I have seen some of your previous videos as well. Both brands are great but like you said in your vid, it comes down to personal preference. As far as T-shirts are concerned, I feel the Next-Level has a slightly more fitted feel so I went with Next Level. I do prefer Bella for tanks and sleeveless Tees but again, that's just my personal preference.

Plus oddly enough I also bought a large as well and after both were washed one of the shoulders had shrunk more than the other so I don’t wear them anymore because it drives me crazy

      I've read not so much in the mens but particularly in the womens. Any BC womens shirt labeled junior or missy fit is going to fit SMALL and I mean, like your mom who wears a size 10 will have to get an XL if she regularly wears a medium. (or a large if she likes a tighter, snug fit).

    • @thesqaanalyst
      @thesqaanalyst 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup, you'd have to order a size up for a looser fit. No way does the BC come true to size.

      Sherita Braswell-JenNINGS, at this point I have bought Bella canvas, Gildan, and Next level. Form my perspective customers like the bella canvas because it is soft and is made for fit/average body types. I have had a couple customers say that they thought Bella Canvas was a cheapie shirt because they are thin compared to Gildan. It's all preference. Gildan is a thicker shirt and tends to be a half size larger then the size tag. I consider Gildan to be a cheap shirt unless you buy their softer variation which is a good shirt and the size is 1/8 Bigger then tag size. That is good for customer who have a little belly but still consider themselves to be a medium or large🙄 Last up is Next Level. This is a good blank to use that bella canvas and Gildan
      user will like. It's cost is lower then bella canvas, has a thicker feel to bella, and prints well will DTG, silk screen. NL vs. Gildan is pretty even with Gildan's softer variation.
      My personal preference over all is still Bella Canvas. The majority of customers all say they love how bella canvas feels and wears and that leads to return orders.

      He may be sponsored by bella canvas but as printer who uses the brand, the 3001 is a really good garment for heat xfers, i cant speak for screen printing since i dont deal with that. I also have american apparel and tbh its just as good. However they can be a bit on the pricier side wholesale. BC has a great pricepoint and really is a fantastic garment. I have worked with other brands as well such as Gildan, Next Level, Hanes, Alstyle and Fruit of the Loom.
      I like the combed cotton fabrics as they have a better feeling than the heavy cotton tees. From my experience, I feel that Bella Canvas, American Apparel and Next Level are my top 3 go to tshirts for combed cotton. I choose bella over the other 2 because of its pricepoint as well as how well my xfers hold up on em after multiple washes. For thicker tees, my go to is Alstyle Classic 1301s, you really cant go wrong with heat xfers and screen printing on this garment.
      I really wish there were more review vids of other garments and models from other brands on youtube, it really is difficult to find reviews for these things especially since there is a lot of new people interested in starting up their own tshirt brands. Honestly if someone were to just start up a channel dedicated to reviewing blank brands, im sure that would blow up. Vids of wash tests for different types of printing would be great as well.

    I'm a 3x and the Bella canvas was feeling a little tighter than I'm used to. Others might appreciate the fit but I didn't. I like Gildan. Still waiting on my Gildan test order to arrive with the types that my printer has available. Bella and canvas is not my go to shirt.

    • @devpac7861

      We just received our order of 3xl Bella canvas, im typically a 2x but the BC was a bit too snug for me. The 3x fit well but the length was way too long, really huge difference in length from 2x to 3x. The 3001s are also form fitted so it is wise to go a size up from what you're used to. We got in some next level and american apparel tees and they're actually pretty dope. I dont screen print but I use plastisol heat xfers and they hold up very well with BC brand, will test em out on NL and AA garments now.

      The Gildan 64000 shirt is pretty sweet. It's very soft and not too heavy. This is my go to shirt. The Gildan2000 is slightly heavier and feels more like a traditional shirt. Still a nice shirt and fits well. The winner is Gildan 64000 in my book.

    • @devpac7861

      Sounds interesting, i think ill put in an order for that model. I really need to find something more akin to the bigger boys such as myself. As much as I love the BC 3001, i feel they're too thin for the bigger boys, most have nipple concerns because of the fabric weight. Have you tried the Heavy cotton from bella? I bought one as a sample and its great for all body types, only issue i had with it was with the neck, it was a bit too loose for me, but fabric was top notch. 5x washed and dried on low, no issues with shrinking.
      is the G64000 the softspun stuff? How's the shrinkage and fade on it? Does it get that bacon neck effect after a few washes?

    • @thesqaanalyst
      @thesqaanalyst 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The G64000 is 100% Ringspun Cotton. Very soft and has been holding up well. As an alternative, I also use the Gildan 2000 Ultra Cotton which is slightly heavier at 6oz. This tee is reminiscent of the classic James Dean or "Fonzie" t-shirt that is not as soft but still 100% cotton. Alternatively to the Gildan 64000 that I've tried and liked, has been the Anvil 980. Very similar to the Gildan 64000 in every aspect except price. The Anvil is slightly more expensive but can also be a go-to short if needed. In regards to shrinkage, it shrinks slightly but nothing of a concern. The shirt relaxes after a little bit.
      My opinion on these shirts come from me buying them and trying them out on a 3XL. As I mentioned, the Bella Canvas was a joke to try to fit into. I immediately gave it to my daughter as a pajama shirt. If you're medium or slim, the BC might work fine. Otherwise, look elsewhere for a more comfortable fit.
      I have not yet noticed the bacon neck effect but that's probably because they're new. I think most shirts get the bacon neck after awhile. Crew necks more so than v-necks.
      I have heard good things of American Apparel. I will try them next to see how the fit is on a 3xl frame.

      Hey all, hope you are well, greetings from sunny Hong Kong, was wondering what peoples thoughts are regarding Anvil apparel, quality choice is not great here and shipping from US is crazy, if they ship at all, from what Ive seen Bella just seems a tad thin , Vietnam seem to have pretty good quality apparel manufacturers, would really appreciate any knowledge, pretty green , anyway cheers for your time
