This is something we needed this year and I'm glad Austria delivered, lyrics are actually deeper than they seem as first and the whole sound design backs this up, in a televote semi this can thrive.

i love how well-thought this is actually, it's nicely produced, it builds quite great to a complete last chorus, it's a banger, it totally crazy while doing a whole critique on the music industry like what more could we ask for ?!

I was excited for this one yesterday and it managed to completely exceed my expectations!
It's incredibly energetic, and the rhythms and vocal melodies are really enjoyable.
This has also got to be my favourite music video of the season so far, it's a really fun watch!
This seems like a very likely qualifier but I'm still apprehensive for how well this'll do because it seems like a very difficult song to stage well. Can't wait to see how they do it!

Potent at polarizing the population, potentially quite popular in polls. Poe.

My head for the next 3 weeks, "POE POE POE POE POE POE POE EDGAR ALLEN EDGAR ALLEN POE." Went straight to my top 3 along with Serbia and Spain. Camp? Satirical Lyrics? Creativity? Energy and Fun? This song is fun as heck and is actually clever, sound design and ideas-wise on repeated listen. I have no other option but to stan Austria this year. Let's go !!!

So the whole point of this song is to be a satire about the current state of the music industry. I think it's specifically about how a lot of songs nowadays have stupid overly gimmicky lyrics and blow up on TikTok as a result (abcdefu, Mad at Disney, Twinkle Twinkle Little Bitch etc.), but I'm not entirely sure.
Message aside, though, the song absolutely slaps and it's a serious contender for my favorite entry so far this year. I don't think it's winner material like many people are saying, but if they get the staging right then I think a Top 10 or even Top 5 result is definitely possible.
Update to be more specific: I think the song is a statement about how songwriters have to resort to making wacky songs like this to get their work noticed, especially in the age of social media and TikTok. Again, could be interpreting it wrong :V

Yikes... I interpreted it as a mockery of how songwriters are being completely ignored in today's music industry, but I see your point too! Or maybe they're making several points? I haven't really read about the purpose of the song but that's how I interpreted it anyway haha :)

@@groot1421 I should have been more specific; I think the song is a statement about how songwriters have to resort to making wacky songs like this to get their work noticed, especially in the age of social media and TikTok. So, you're not wrong. Idk if you've been following the stuff surrounding the Crystal Ball ESC Twitter account, but that was just revealed to be a huge marketing tool for this song and it basically just proved the song's point lol

This is such a disaster bop in every way but is so great. I love the lyrical theme and creativity and how it actually alludes to Edgar Allan Poe’s actual work (I am learning about him in English rn), the song’s production is epic, I love the lyrics, I love the theme, I love the sass the song and the artists have, I love the video, I love the different parts of the song, the lyrics are great, I love its video, I love its chaotic mix of genres and overall it is amazing. It is everything that should not work together that is put into a song in a blender and it is somehow amazing!! I seriously don’t know what drugs I am on enjoying this as much as I do but I really love it. It is a 9/10 for me, it is just a BOP.

I absolutely love this! The constant energy and fast beat are right up my alley, the hook is amazing and the song progresses so well! This song will stay high in my top. I would say the repeated "Poe" part makes it so incredibly memorable and catchy but without the hard work put in the backing vocals and the layering not many would like it so much and it may would have come off as a 'cheap' song. What they created is deliberately goofy but still musically well produced in every aspect and I think this way I, and looking at the general fandom opinion many others, love this so much which they otherwise wouldn't for a goofy entry

You should definitely check out the lyrics to this one, it's a great callout of the music industry (like the low recognition of songwriters, the line about signing up to Universal, the 0.003 for how much you earn from a stream of your song, etc)
