I just recently bought a pair of CDJ900 Nexus but I don't seem to be able to get a full track waveform on the screen, instead I just get the browsing window and a basic blue waveform at the bottom. Am I doing something wrong, because as much as try I can't get it to show and especially after you saying the Traktor HID mode is the most fully featured I do feel like I have missed something??
I have a problem. before opening traktor pro 3, I start aggregator after which I connect the usb cables to the cdj, all the cue, play commands work, etc. .. only cue I have the audio output from the same channel, why?

My question is regarding usb hubs which u don’t really cover here :( I’m wondering if I use a 4 port usbA to 1 port usbC to my laptop to plug the 4 CDJs in, will I have any data or audio problems as they are essentially all going into 1 usbC port on the laptop? I’d prefer to leave all the other usbC ports open for the power and other perioherals like my drum machine or guitar amp modeler. Will I have any issues with the CDJs or should I put them in all the other ports and just have 2 into the hub, and the other two into their own dedicated usbC ports on laptop and the power in the fourth one. I have a 3.1GHz quad intel core i7 15” 2017 Touch Bar MacBook Pro with 4 usbC ports and 16GB of ram.
I know this video is old now - but I have TP3 and CDJ 900 nexus decks - I can't for the life of me work out how to get Traktor's waveforms to show on my CDJs (the big waveform). Any advice?

Meaning, the audio will actually be played out and sent through the player's outputs into the mixer? Or do I need to have an audio interface plugged into the laptop and set it up in External Mixing mode?
You will need a sound card only if the mixer does'nt have one. This video does not tell you everything, because its only 1 cdj if it was 2 of them i think you need to install an agregator to make them work properly
AHA! So in contrast to earlier TP versions, it doesnt matter anymore in which order I connect the CDJs to assign the decks? In ealier days the first one connected was deck A, 2nd one deck B and so forth. Or was that just in case you also use the CDJs as audio interface via the digital out?

As a DJ that used CDJs for since 8 years and changed setup to use Traktor Pro, because of Fx's and setup possibilities that fit more with my DJing style, I can tell you, it still isn't the same feel that using a regular usb with rekordbox. I don't know if it's my mac or something, but tracks won't fully load up until a 10 second delay more or less, and in that time if you move the pitch slider for example, it doesn't show anything until the waveform is fully loaded. Another major detail is CDJ mode, it's almost impossible to use properly as when you play with a usb drive, don't ask me why. If you want to use it in a way that it's almost natural, you have to use the CDJ in Vinyl mode, and I personally prefer the other mode. Last but not least, when you load up a track, with the CDJ in Vinyl mode, I don't know why (again), there's a slight delay from when you hit play till when the track starts to play, so I find myself hitting Play/Pause and then Cue to load up the Cue point properly, and even doing that, when I launch the track for mixing it, it ends still being phased so I have to use pitch bend. They're details, but all these details combined end up as a still unnatural use of the CDJ that drives me insane and sadly won't let me enjoy my set.

all the pioneer cdjs are compatible with HID? last weekend i set up traktor 3 with two xdj700 and it worked but the big waveforms doesn't appear on the display; am i missing something on the configuration? also i used the cdj/xdj aggregator to configure the audio out.
No HID mode is using the hardware to directly control the software, you don't need HID mode without the software you'd just use the gear as it's intended
Hi There, I usually DJ with Traktor nowadays and a Roland drum percussion pad with sticks, and use the loop points in traktor to navigate through tracks while DJing at gigs. I export all the song, cue, loop and key data from traktor to Rekordbox via rekordbuddy software. Then I export playlists to a USB to dj at festivals or gigs that only have pioneer gear available. My problem is with cue and loop points. In traktor i have 8. In rekordbox i have 8. On CDJ2000NXS2 I can recall 8 hotcues, and 8 memory cues. All of this is fine…. BUT some gigs I turn up to have CDJ2000 to CDJ2000NXS (not CDJ2000NXS2) which only have 3 hotcues (& 8 memory cues) on them available.(and I can't use HID mode)... My question is: is there a shift or alt type button or sequence of pressing any button to scroll through the hot cues? EG I have access to ABC hot cues but not D to H hotcues. Is there a way I can access the other 5 hotcues during a songs playback…?EG have access to DEFGH...? Because often when I’m DJing I like to jump from hot cue loop to hot cue loop and skip parts of the track and then when I get to the last hot cue loop callout I leave it looping and mix into the other Cdj looping hot cue or memory cue 1 intro. But I can’t seem to have any access to the other 5 hotcues at gigs with CDJ2000/NXS :( Is there any solution? Joey :)
If you are looping and using hot cues alot you are better off getting the KontrolX1 controller from NI for traktor. It also allows you to use and control all the effects with Traktor.

I can use the two usb from the computer? The two cdjs the audio just come out form one Chanel . What I am doing wrong? Using windows platform

you need to Analyze youre tracks in traktor for them to load fast and propper---

To my knowledge it's only 2000NXS2 that can show the big waveform.

That's a great question Joey, and the truth is nothing obvious springs to mind. I hope someone else reading this has a smart solution for you...
Yes there is a way... there are 2 arrow keys on the cdj, I think they're labelled "call". You can use these to navigate through all of your cue points
