Genuinely good 1440p displays are really affordable these days. I've spent hundreds on colour accurate ones in the not too distant past. The super crazy accurate ones from the likes of NEC and Eizo are still super expensive but you really get what you pay for. If you need that level of colour accuracy you need to spend the extra!
Honestly to be honest. The only annoying thing is that a lot of the lower end ones especially aren’t made with a Mac in mind necessarily so something as simple as waking from sleep becomes a tedious ahh dance. Shit be like “turn screen off and on, change input from Mac and back to Mac, beat keyboard and mouse so that it catches the signal.” Probably the same for 4K monitors too, but a hoe doesn’t have that money to find out.

Like the setup you have put together. My father just got MacMini and he seems to be happy with it. Personally, I still prefer my Macbook Air M2. Thanks you for your great reviews. Love your channel and I've been following you for quite some years, your videos never disappoint. Job excellently done. Thank you.
I've got that ASUS ProArt display and it's an excellent device. Plenty of ports, and the stand is crazy stout. I also have that Logitech mouse. I have big hands but I like the feel.
Constructive criticism. Less rack zoom and better image stabilization. I'm 46 seconds in and i'm very much noticing the zooming. That's just me. and i'm thinking that is making me notice all the movement of the camera too. As a practical note if people are going for a budget, i'd say consider a refurbished moniter. I got one on Newegg. Around a $110. And if you don't need 4k, smaller display, or high end features maybe even less.
I’ve got this display for about 2 years now. It’s been an absolute Doll (that means great btw lol). Definitely a good recommendation. If you want perfection tho get 4K or 5K but this is amazing as is. And the Matte screen it’s got is 🥰 to me.
Got one of theses Mac minis just to run scrypted for my HomeKit video streams. Use a iPad as the screen/keyboard so don’t need anything else to control it.
I was going to say I think he set it up the wrong way as normally speaker controls are on the right speaker and not the left like this and has been this way since sepearate speakers became a thing in the PC space since most of the population is right handed so it makes sense to reach up with that hand to handle the speaker stuff.
I hope to get my m4 mac mini this year sometime. I am currently trying to save for it lol. I had the 2012 mini that i used a lot and currently its using Linux Zorin os so its usable at least and I did upgrade it to 16gb ram.
The Mac mini m4 is good enough for 90% of the planet. Please don't undersell performance and oversell needs. I don't know why reviewers do this constantly.
I like the monitor. Asus Pro Art Monitors are highly underrated for creators. Add a pair of Type A port adaptors for $10, HDMI 2.1 cable for $10, and a high-speed SSK dual USB stick for $27.
Interesting. I just got a 16 and somehow mine worked on a macbook air m1 with out me even reading the instructions. I got lucky. Regardless i just put turned on facetime and stuck my camera behind the laptop camera and it worked. I do know there is a settting, i think in facetime, where you can switch back and forth from the phone back to the laptop camera. I wonder also if there's a setting you need to turn on to allow the use of continuity. Might be worth it to search continuity on you computer of phone. I do know it only works on more recent year models of phones and laptops.

Great budget set up tips.
I think you should have did a price summary at the end of all of the items you talked about.
good to see your still around…..enjoy your take on apple projects…have a great week from montana
I just want to see everyone who complained on past baller videos “hE’s No LoNgEr UrAvGcOnSuMeR” to give him his props here
@ he explains tech in a way that ur avg consumer can understand. That’s the point of his name, no need to rich shame because he’s showing cool tech.

You can still get some things a little cheaper (mouse , keyboard , trackpad , monitor). But what is posted isn’t bad.
Especially on the mouse. $90 for the mx anywhere isnt needed for this setup. Plenty of wired mice cost less and do just as much

Students/parents don't forget about the edu discount on the mac mini!
Just discovered this today and got one for our daughter. Was very happy to see, crazy deal.

What model did you buy? Are you having problems with the system scaling?
@@medygv6907 It's the 2K ProArt display shown in the video. No problems with scaling at all.
Great video . Nice cheap way to get a Mac .
also want to add if you want a Apple branded display, you can get a used Apple Thunderbolt Display, its not 4K, but its still a really good display.

I appreciate your video. Plus stylish outfit and watch, excellent taste, Sir. :)
I have the same speaker. Did you set up the speaker the wrong way? I had to recheck mines. the one with the knob is my right speaker.

Not the Key-Tron 😮💨

Wouldn’t you prefer a keyboard with the power/fingerprint button?
Where did you get the speaker stand? I have those speakers as well.
People with 9-5 jobs need the Ten Key keyboards. I’ve been on the hunt for the southpaw TK. The nicer brands are sold out.
Those speakers are really good but for a little more money (
Can the type c slot connect to my speaker that with DAC ?
Nice video
Could you please tell me how i can use animated Wallpapers just like in the video?
Will it work for CAD like fusion 360?
No links ?
Common! Some cheap Chinese brand? Might as well get edifier! Mines got RGB for Chinese brand that sound good
