I love this car! The grill is so nicely done, the taillight design I've always liked, and the stance when dropped looks so good. Just a beautiful, understated car.
I love it too. When I saw that paint job, I thought of the Hirohata Mercury. I'd like to see a Ford Corsair or Mk1 Escort done as a mild custom, especially with that paint scheme & those hubcaps.
Time to start my project car I'm purchasing one that has been in a bar they say it runs. Get it home put fresh gas and oil in then new plugs and plug wires clean it good only $500 its black on black.
Great. The car was stripped to bare metal, epoxied and painted in two-pack. All trim holes were welded shut and metal finished. All chrome was redone to the highest qulaity. I sold it years ago, is kept in a climate controleld garage.
If you have a TH-cam channel at least be courteous enough to correspond back to the people who appreciate and ask questions in regards to this vehicle and channel. I myself would like to know where that front grill on the T-Bird came from. Please correspond, Thank you.
The video is about my car, I didn't make this video or post it, so I never really thought to check the comments. I made this grille using chrome shower curtain rails, hand bent over a customwood jig. The chrome didn't last, so I made another using stainless tube, which I polished.
Wow, nine years, sorry, I never checked this video on You Tube. They're 15" steel Falcon (Australian) with 1953 Oldsmobile caps and custom spun and chromed centre bullets. The bullets thread on and secure the caps to the rims.
It's bagged so fully aired up its ride height is higher than factory. Put skirts on, didn't like it. A Coyote would be so wrong for the style of this car.
Why can't they build cars that look this good today? We need to go back. Just look at the Holden Efijy. It's a shame that car never went into production. There has been "retro inspired" cars over the years, but they all look like shit compared to the cars they're based off.
It's a Lechler two-pack epoxy that dries to a kind of satin sheen - not flat, not shiny. Had it tinted similar to the Hirohata Merc green. Roof is a Subaru metallic green with Roth Bongwater (I think, it was a while ago) Flake, four coots of clear on the roof only.
@@johnnyboy1586 yeah I know. I was nervous as all hell, didn't want Cal to film me but he inisisted. I've only watched this once, makes me cringe. An American film wanted to interview me for a documentary a few years back. I was at a major event with a mate who knows me and our magazines' history well. So he did the interview for me, making out he was me, whilst I hid in the corner. It was hilarious.
Ive got a 62 thunderbird love her but i have to sell her i really hate to do it ive got bout 14000 in her and got to sell her for 10,000 to fix my house that burnt i hate it

I'm in Minnesota USA and bought a 62 last fall. couple questions...do your front airbags have a shock as well? i'm thinking of doing the air-ride thing but worried about wheel hop at higher speed. also where did you get those hubcaps and what are they called....they look sweet. remind me of a Roulette wheel. The suede and flake look great together. i was looking at paint ideas and google searched 62 bird pics and yours is by far my favorite.

Awesome. I’m looking at getting one tomorrow. Great idea to remove all the trim. Looks so much cleaner

Would you tell how much it cost you to do this, minus the engine?
how did he bag it and do the other suspension areas he mentioned?
overall nice, but too low, needs fender skirts might need a 5.0L coyote engine.
