- A 1963 Ford Thunderbird that Jimmy Posey of Big Oak Garage has been working on for a couple of years...He started out by winning it at The Shades Of The Past Car Show and He drove it for a couple of years...But then He wanted to put His own touch to it...So He fixed the stance....Got it low...But drive-able.....Put some 20 Rocket Wheels on it...Did a little work on the Motor....Not to much...That is the motor that came in the car...The interior was kept stock..Most of it is original to the car...And the rest is in the details...Now this 1963 Ford T-bird is not a over the top custom...Or a high dollar show car...But what it is....Is cool....Set up to drive...Jimmy had it on several road trips this year....Cruiser...I see a lot of this generation Ford Thunderbird...I can usually walk by...But there is something about this 1963 Ford T-Bird that just works for Me...The color combo.....White with that blue interior....The Wheels ....The stance.....All just right for this build....I loved it..I'm sure you will to

My Grandmother (I live in the UK, my Grandparents live in Florida) had one of these ... but it never looked like that. She passed away a few years ago, but its one of those lasting memories I have of her ..... my tiny, sub 5ft grandmother driving this huge car. ..... well it looked big when she was driving it!! :)

Yep, bullet bird's from this vintage have been a favorite since I was in grade school and the neighbor's got a turquoise 'vert. Fabulous interior.

Thanks very much for this. It brings back great memories. My mother had a '63 Thunderbird identical to this when I was a little boy. She was a beautiful lady and looked great in it!

we just went to the Good Guys rod show in Concord NC, ( Oct 20) They had some awesome cars and trucks, except for the rain and cooler weather it was a nice show.

Beautiful car. As you said not overdone. If I remember right the drivers seat would swivel along with the
steering column to assist in driver entry. Looks great with the original FE under the hood.

Those T birds from the 50's to mid sixties styling wise were incredible along with the slab Lincolns with the cutoff being 64. After 65, NAH, just not the same styling.
Gotta believe price wise they just keep going up.

I’ve got a 63 I had painted White Diamond Tricoat with 20” chrome Cabo rims. Running the stock engine and trans. I need to drop the front about an inch like that one.

Once was about to buy a ‘63 T-bird convertible but earlier that day the head gasket let go on my ‘93 T-bird and I had parted out my ‘81 T-bird the month before.
Huh...
I've always been more of a Japanese car person myself, being that I'm Japanese, but DAMN this thing is so COOL. The interior in these are probably my favorite of any car from the era.. And the rear 3/4 angle of this car with the fin leading to the circular taillights is simply sexual. I definitely need to depart from my JDM habits for a bit and pick a 63 up. SHEESH.

Love this but the 62 nailed it. If I'd want to pay out the bucks for an early bird the 62 was it. I even like it over the first 3 years. Just amazing lines.

A really tastefully done restomod. Did not jack with the interior. Very nicely done. Did not lower it. So many restomods they ruin the car. Takes a lot of restraint. Sometimes less is more. He summed it up, "IT IS WAY COOL". Makes you wanna weep looking at it.
