- Today, we will examine the scanning functionality of the Inrico IRC380. Once configured, this feature enables the device to scan through the channels stored in memory, allowing it to monitor the channels designated within the Zones and Scan lists.
Each scan bank is restricted to 16 channels, which corresponds to the number of channels assigned to a Zone.
EXTRA SCAN INFO: Once you have set your scan channels you will have to select the correct scan list for scanning. This is in the Scan menu and under Scan list.
1: Set Zone
2: Select Scan menu
3: Before scanning select list
4: Now select scan switch to Open

Thanks for the video. If you're familiar with this device, can you take a moment to explain why an organization would purchase these? Unless you are going to use their proprietary POC solution, this seems pointless to me. For the regular radio functionality, you can buy a regular radio. When it comes to using any third party POC solutions, like Zello for example, this is a paperweight. Basic functions like programmable buttons are completely incompatible and non-configurable. The same applies to the channel knob.
This only seems to make sense for an organization that is going to make use of traditional DMR communication alongside Inrico's POC solution specifically. Would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you!
Now I don't work for Inrico or get any paid commission etc.
So this is a commercial radio never designed for use with Zello or other ham radio usage. It was designed from the ground upto work with the Dispatch system they run and if you see that working you would be very impressed with how it all works radio to pc and Dispatcher.
Since owning the IRC380 I have had nothing but great help from Inrico to iron out issues with the radio for Ham use and other things and they have been very accommodating.
The channel knob works flawless with the DMR app and I don't have inrico ptt app installed only the DMR app side.
And i have no issues mapping ptt buttons on any app with this device zello, echolink all works flawless.
What I suggest is click our link in the description and come join our group on Facebook we have firmware updates and apks and gathering alot of information that we just can't share here there isn't space or time.
@@TechShortsUK I very much appreciate the response. To clarify, the PTT button does work with other services. In fact, it is often the only thing that will work with other services. You might get lucky with the channel knob, but typically not. And the other mappable buttons will never work with anything else.
This is a good device if you are going to use Inrico's dispatch system, as you said. Otherwise, this makes no sense.
@@clarkcant All available buttons are mapable with Button Mapper and will issue a button code so you can use this for all other apps etc so i have no issues,?
Hello sir, well I have followed your video and my inrico does not scan, I don't know if my software is broken, but it doesn't scan, thank you
In the scan menu of the radio under scan list make sure you select the scan bank also I missed this part out. But it 100% scans. Also join our Facebook group it's in the description
@@TechShortsUK I tried everything and it doesn't scan, I don't have Facebook
@JOSE-sr9ld well I can confirm it works flawless on mine. Is your radio fully upto date. If not it may need updates and we have them all on our group but if your not on Facebook your going to struggle. Sorry
@@TechShortsUK Thank you very much for everything. My radio is VHF, and I believe it is updated, software version 1.0.0, data version 1.3.3, firmware version 1.0.0.37
Please is it possible to see your radio as it scans, sorry for the inconvenience.
