มุมมอง 71วันที่ผ่านมา
Today, we will examine the scanning functionality of the Inrico IRC380. Once configured, this feature enables the device to scan through the channels stored in memory, allowing it to monitor the channels designated within the Zones and Scan lists. Each scan bank is restricted to 16 channels, which corresponds to the number of channels assigned to a Zone. EXTRA SCAN INFO: Once you have set your ...

มุมมอง 114วันที่ผ่านมา
Today, we will explore the procedure for configuring the primary PTT switch on the Inrico IRC380, enabling its use with alternative applications without automatically launching the main DMR or FM application when the PTT is activated in apps such as Zello or Echolink. This guide will demonstrate how to close the primary DMR application prior to utilizing applications like Zello or Echolink, onc...

Programming The Inrico IRC380 Using Android File System
มุมมอง 8521 วันที่ผ่านมา
To program the Inrico IRC380 using a USB-C cable connected to a PC, it is recommended to utilize the CPS and Programming Cable for optimal results. However, it is possible to incorporate our .bin files into the Android system files, which will provide a basic codeplug for your radio. Please note that this method does not allow for the editing of your DMR ID, but it can facilitate the initial se...

Nice dock! As to the radio, it is ironic that it's geared towards commercial users. As I said in the last video featuring this device, commercial users have the greatest disadvantage with this device. My org uses a proprietary Android app for communication. Obviously, the app loads on the device and functions with no issues. However, Inrico has made using this device a nightmare for people who aren't committed to replying on Inrico's communication solutions. Since nobody reading this uses our proprietary app, I'll use Zello as an example of the problems instead. The channel knobs will not map to Zello. The only way to map them to Zello is to set up a complicated Tasker script, which will cost you money to use by the way, and then make sure that all your Zello channels begin with a number. And even then, the knob will only work if the display is on. The "programmable buttons" will not be programmable to you if you use Zello. You can map Zello to the large PTT button, and that's it. The (super bright) LED atop the device is just an annoying flashing git if you use Zello. You cannot map it to recognize incoming or outgoing transmissions for 3rd party solutions. Only Inrico's. I can go on. But commercial users are the least likely to use Inrico's PTT app for this. Inrico's app happens to be pretty good, if not incredibly ugly. But commercial entities relying on PTT communications typically use some sort of fleet management software optimized for their business and industry. The fact is, that Inrico wants these devices to be a funnel into their apps above anything else. Businesses will prefer devices that are made for them, not for their manufacturers' bottom line. This, as well as their S380, are incredibly well built. They are great devices, and Inrico's inflexibility is a real shame.
Dude could you send me the link to the 3d printed stand please and do you know anyone in the market for a rfinder?
I will have to see if I have the file as the place i did get the file from doesn't have it now. Do you have a 3D printer so you can print it. And reference RFinder i don't mate sorry. Thought you like it. It does the same as this but has dual band.
@ ok man no worries. I do like it but I’m just not using it and it’s a lot of money to just have sitting around to be not used. Yea I have a printer just a small one though.
Nice explanation. Subbed to your channel
Awesome, thank you!
Thanks for the video. If you're familiar with this device, can you take a moment to explain why an organization would purchase these? Unless you are going to use their proprietary POC solution, this seems pointless to me. For the regular radio functionality, you can buy a regular radio. When it comes to using any third party POC solutions, like Zello for example, this is a paperweight. Basic functions like programmable buttons are completely incompatible and non-configurable. The same applies to the channel knob. This only seems to make sense for an organization that is going to make use of traditional DMR communication alongside Inrico's POC solution specifically. Would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you!
Now I don't work for Inrico or get any paid commission etc. So this is a commercial radio never designed for use with Zello or other ham radio usage. It was designed from the ground upto work with the Dispatch system they run and if you see that working you would be very impressed with how it all works radio to pc and Dispatcher. Since owning the IRC380 I have had nothing but great help from Inrico to iron out issues with the radio for Ham use and other things and they have been very accommodating. The channel knob works flawless with the DMR app and I don't have inrico ptt app installed only the DMR app side. And i have no issues mapping ptt buttons on any app with this device zello, echolink all works flawless. What I suggest is click our link in the description and come join our group on Facebook we have firmware updates and apks and gathering alot of information that we just can't share here there isn't space or time.
@@TechShortsUK I very much appreciate the response. To clarify, the PTT button does work with other services. In fact, it is often the only thing that will work with other services. You might get lucky with the channel knob, but typically not. And the other mappable buttons will never work with anything else. This is a good device if you are going to use Inrico's dispatch system, as you said. Otherwise, this makes no sense.
@@clarkcant All available buttons are mapable with Button Mapper and will issue a button code so you can use this for all other apps etc so i have no issues,?
Hello sir, well I have followed your video and my inrico does not scan, I don't know if my software is broken, but it doesn't scan, thank you
In the scan menu of the radio under scan list make sure you select the scan bank also I missed this part out. But it 100% scans. Also join our Facebook group it's in the description
@@TechShortsUK I tried everything and it doesn't scan, I don't have Facebook
@JOSE-sr9ld well I can confirm it works flawless on mine. Is your radio fully upto date. If not it may need updates and we have them all on our group but if your not on Facebook your going to struggle. Sorry
@@TechShortsUK Thank you very much for everything. My radio is VHF, and I believe it is updated, software version 1.0.0, data version 1.3.3, firmware version 1.0.0.37
Please is it possible to see your radio as it scans, sorry for the inconvenience.
Very well explained and very useful information. So many people keep popping up on many groups saying Zello takes control and causing issues, This have defiantly solved this issue for me thank you so much, Also the IRC380 looks an amazing radio which we have on order since watching your videos. Keep up the amazing work thank you..
Glad it was helpful!
Hello, I have the same radio and I haven't been able to scan it.
I will try and do a video to show how to set a scan list up, It does work i have done it on mine but it isn't simple.
@@TechShortsUK ok, thank you very much for your response
This device is a disaster for anyone attempting to communicate using third-party software. The device is basically useless for you. You cannot program any of the so-called programmable buttons, and even the knobs are not a guarantee to work. Inrico is selling this device solely to block people into their ecosystem.
Well you are definitely wrong with your comment, We have been working with Inrico and its fully usable for anyone, We have the software which is for everyone to use and we are constantly growing the support. The volume Knob and channel Knob works flawless for the radio, and Button mapper programs the other buttons without issue. Maybe you should join our support group. facebook.com/groups/inrico
Great video - Very well put together and very well explained. Really like the look of the new Inrico range and the flexibility that this offers seems to fit the needs of many, Looking forward to many more helpful videos thank you.

A ridiculous gimmick ! I NEED ONE NOW 😮👍👍
@Sandman.68. totally agree it's pointless and why do we need such a thing. Quick buy one
Merci ! c'est un nouveau firmware ?. comment on fait dans les paramètres pour décoder ?
Thats great but where is the documentation that goes into details on the operation and structure of the program, like what is the difference between link, group and frequency. We need more documentation for this to catch on.
How?
Can scanner locate encrypted RF signal?
Encryption needs an encryption key so no. It will find and decode DMR, Fusion, Tetra, Dstar etc without any encryption keys assigned.
@@TechShortsUK thank you for replying.
@@TechShortsUK i thought scanners could set scanning range like area of 3 miles and scan frequency and scanner, would state on screen encrypted frequency which is noise ?
Too bad this App you're showing doesn't communicate like the CB radios of today or when CW McCall recorded that little Diddy.
Nope it don't but it defiantly helps the people that can not have big antennas or any antennas up to help them communicate to like minded people. Thanks for the comment it helps towards the algorithm.
Sorry for the stupid question, but if I go from England on holiday to another country in Europe, is this what I need to do so that I can listen to other CB users?
Becareful taking any radio gear abroad it could be taken off you unless you know the laws of such countries. But you would need to hold PTT and Vox down to change to correct table for country
Hard pass on that useless mod
@ReefMimic you say useless? It keeps the internal battery topped up nicely, so how is that useless?
Fantastic radio 👌
Is this a record ing or did u get skip on it really did u get to talk back to them
Well done . Stumbled across this in TH-cam shorts 😊
Well done 😂
Great to hear 👍
