I just bought one and I like it a lot. Look at it this way: yeah, the bezel doesn't rotate. But I got mine for $37+tax and shipping. It's got day/date with the fantastic Indiglo and it's probably more durable and accurate than a cheap Seiko 5. WR100 and it's styled well, relatively slim. It's a nice "go to" everyday watch, and I can easily read it without my glasses day or night, which is great. Great value here.
Just ordered one. I intend to use it as a camp watch. I like the simplicity and the indiglo function so I can see the time if something goes bump in the middle of the night.
I have got great service out of these expedition watches....yes they are what they are.... but for the money for someone who works, beats and bangs they are perfect for me.... Your review is spot on.... great job....
I have now owned 2 of these. The 1st one I bought in US about 10 years ago - the bezel was not rotating. After losing the 1st watch in an accident - I bought the 2nd one, and the bezel does rotate (though only counter-clock wise). All in all - I'd prefer the one that does not rotate, as it does not rattle on your hand and feels more solid.
After wearing it about 7 years I don't care about watch collectors... They are not practical people ! Very functional when driving at night.. and I didn't want to wear a digital watch 👍
I think the watch looks great, I can read the time easily day or night and I'm happy to wear it. The setting the day/date was a pain, but they say it's factory set that way to last the life of the 10yrs battery life. So I agree the most annoying thing for me is the non-rotating bezel. Stupid, because I really don't need it (I use my cell for timing) but I liked to play with it when I had an old version.
Love the channel. I have this watch and the bezel on mine moves around like any other dive style watch, that I'd strange that the newer models dont move.
@@WatcheswithGeorge Its strange as everything else is exactly the same. I have two Tag Heuer Carrera watches however what I would recommend you take a look at is Seiko make some outstanding entry level dive watches I have the basic turtle which is the air diver 200m and I find myself wearing it way more than my more expensive watches.
@@roberthorst9716 To be honest.. as soon as I get my hands on all of them.. I will.. at the moment everything that I review are watches that I buy for myself! And I would love to be able to do this and not buy watches for content! Was just adding the turtles and the Seiko Samurai on my list now! Thanks again for the comment!
I like 40mm. Not too small but not big. A field watch should not be big. I have many times put on a backpack and my watch catches on the big Gshock or other watch. Imagine being a soldier and that happens during a jump, etc. That is why the classic field watch is small and doesn't have parts that stick out, but is round.
I would buy this as a work watch without question except for that fake rotating bezel. Id be happy to pay $20 more for it to be unidirectional. total miss imo

Does the dial glow the dark with the indigo function or do you have to push the crowns in?

That's a decent looking watch. I like when second hand in quartz hitting the indexes but that non rotating bezel...
Agreed ..that's the one thing that put me off aswell.. that's why I think I just bought the wrong expedition! Thanks for the comment!
The old ones rotated, dunno why they did away with it

The Indiglo feature is my childhood memory ❤
The bezel on mine works. It looks like the exact same watch.
Hey I picked up this watch on Amazon for$7.00 American dollars , that sale then stopped after I ordered the next day and it went back up to $45.
so if it's not a rotating bezel it's not worth off having.
thanks for review

Hey there, thanks for the comment ! To be honest , it kinda put me off it!

@@WatcheswithGeorge Wait really? I've got a few watches I could send in to ya!
Day of the week you need to set just once and then it never will be changed, so it's not a problem.
What size of their straps sir?
Great info/input/review/post ~

The bezel does rotate
Really helpful 👍
I got one of these as a kid, wore it my whole childhood, basically indestructible! But once the battery died, there was no bringing it back sadly
Hey.. thanks for the comment.. this one has 10 year battery life. Thanks again
@@WatcheswithGeorge yep same here 10-year battery almost like it was engineered to be worthless once the battery died
Its marketed for outdoors people btw
Can't you Just put a new battery?
Don't expect to get filet mignon @ Hamburger prices! It's a $40 watch you get what you pay and some!
Love the watch
Has it mineral glass?
Yeap, mineral!
@@WatcheswithGeorge ah great watch.
the bezel does move
Not in mine it didn't!
Nice watch
Love this channell 👍
It´s a beautiful design yet needs to improve its quality
Oh yes.. that I agree ! Thanks again for the comment

Está bien chingón!!!
Pero no lo recomienda, porque es chafa
You talk a lot . Most of it is senseless
Thanks for the view and the comment! Feel free to skip away if you don't find the value!
I have this watch and my bezel also moves. dumb they made some with a fixed bezel
Nice watch I want to get this watch
