I got 4 pairs of Korkers. Like to change up. Don't have the Winter boots yet. That's my next purchase. Korkers number one wading boot. When I bought my darkhorse. I wore them around the house for 2 hours with no socks. Very comfortable.
The pursuit shoe would work ok for that, the tread is a bit deeper than I would personally like as my line could get caught up in it. I personally would go with the Grunden's Sea Knit Boat Shoe for that - I've used it a lot for exactly what you are describing and it's worked very well and nicer for everyday use. @@redsflyshop thanks for the quick info! Can't wait to get into the shop and see you guys, after my elk tag should be doing some cast and blast nearby!
If you're wearing neoprene with wading boots. Always one size larger. Everyone knows that. I know. My pops has wide feet he's a size 11. I bought him a pair of Darkhorse Boa wading boots. But he had to go with a size 13. They fit like a glove. So wide feet people go 2 sizes up.
Felt helps a lot on slimey, slippery rocks. If you are slipping around in rubber soles, switch to felt. My go to is studded felt. Best traction ever. Rubber is good when you will do lots of hiking and less wading. Hope that helps.
Oh man, that is a tough one. I personally prefer a felt sole if I'm gonna have a dedicated shoe for wade fishing so the Korker's gives you that option. The rubber sole on the Simms is better IMO for in water traction.
@@redsflyshop thanks for the reply, unfortunately most of my wet wading is in the Ozarks in Missouri. Felt soles are illegal in Missouri so that sucks.
Will never buy another simms product after a 4 month old pair of boots had a sole fall off in the middle of a trip. 6 months simms replied to my complaint to tell me to email another area.
Very helpful, thank you!
Glad it was helpful, thank you for watching and the good vibes.

Great feedback, they have really stepped up their offerings. Even the Fish Moc shoes are super well built I've been more impressed every year.
Really interested in the new korkers wade-lite lineup
I'm posting a video on that today or tomorrow. It's a pretty good take on the rubber vs. felt. comparison.
Do you keep inserts in when you are wearing waders or only when not wearing waders?
Orvis pros are in a class all their own.
Are you referring to boots, shoes, sandals?
Would you suggest either for flats fishing? Some skiff, some shallow wading/sight fising. Is there a different product line that fits better?

Dumb question- when do you want to wade with felt soles and when do you want rubber soles? Thanks.

@@daveschlom4033 very helpful thanks!
Here in southern Oregon slimy big rocky rivers felt is king & rubber is a waist of time
What is better in your opinion…simms flyweight access wet wading boot or korkers all axis wet wading shoe? I’m torn

I am laughing my ass off. Sorry, but that's a corporation for ya I suppose. We try to handle as much of that type of stuff in house as I can.
There is no better warranty/service than orvis.
My G4 boots also started falling apart after 2 months. Need to buy a new pair of waders and will not be buying Simms anymore.
