Surely adding 2 out of practice trainers and linking their Pokémon's souls together will make it easier! ★ RULES ★
-Only one Pokémon can be caught per area, and we can only catch the first Pokémon we encounter in that area.
-Each encounter is paired with each other making them "soul linked"
-If one person fails to catch their encounter or knocks it out, the other person forfeits the encounter as well.
-Cannot catch a duplicate of any Pokémon.
(Dupes/Species clause)
-
If a Pokémon faints in battle it is classified as DEAD and must be boxed
for the remainder of the run.
-If one of our Pokémon fall in battle, it's linked partner will activate it's "Last stand clause" where it can fight as if it is still alive until the end of the battle, where it is then considered dead.
-
Will be limiting healing items to only 3 per fight.
(If one of us lose a Pokémon during battle, the 3 healing items will be refreshed)
-The battle mode is set to SET.
-My Pokémon's levels can not exceed the level of the next Gym leader’s
highest Pokémon.
-If I white out/black out, the run is OVER
-All wild Pokémon can call allies
-Can decide to take called ally for encounter
-Force fully evolved trainer Pokémon at lvl 35
-If one persons Pokémon in a soul link is put in the PC or knocked out than the other linked Pokémon must follow/share the same fate
-Randomized fossils can be used as an extra encounter in the route the 2nd fossil half was found (both players will need to find 1 fossil for this to come into effect)
Typing rules:
-No repeat of primary types across both parties (1 Pokémon pair may break this rule however)
-No pair may share the same primary typing
-Flying Pokémon may have either of their typing declared for their primary. (since every flying type Pokémon has flying as secondary rather than primary typing)

Legitimately, Skull, your deaths, while possible to avoid, took immense amounts of knowledge that no normal person would have. Don't beat yourself, especially about Rayquaza.

Pretty sure with machamp as a ride-mon, you gained access to a new encounter. In Lush Jungle on the north part of Akala Island, there is a strength boulder. After moving it and proceeding through the cave, you can find a TM
Also major thanks to skull and joey for choosing my names for both pokemon in a single pair. MindGoblin(deeznuts) the ninjask and OVMole the raticate(totally a mole not a rat) gonna take this run to the top(of the pc boxes).

So heartbreaking... and the recap got me all in my feels
I legit shed a tear after watching this episode. I held it together until seeing all the flashbacks, I could feel it but stayed resolved, but acouple tears came when seeing the final greyed out picture. NEVER thought that would happen over THAT mon prior to this lock.... sry Jowee
Tough episode. 2 take aways.
1. Skull you aren’t bad at the game, you’ve gotten better and are doing a better job at it then most of us.

RIP BBL DRIZZY. Our trainers must traverse their way through this place that Cosmog needs saving! Our trainers take on the Lusamine afffter about 10 minutes of dialogue and story. After 3 dragon dances skull floats through with ease. On joeys side he doesn’t really struggle either. Y’know what that means chat. FINAL ISLAND BABY. After force feeding our pokemon for celebration we finally never have to see that island three ever again. After some Pelipper bonding time they get a free encounter. Does that even count as an encounter? Anyways skipping forward Skull gets another fire starter for Joey to slaughter. Anyways let’s hit the fast forward to a sticker encounter and after Kevin Durant they get A DAMN MACHAMP AND RESHIRAM. And the encounters just keep getting cooler with a Type Null and Xurkitree. With lots of island four to come what will happen? Find out in todays episode of The Sacred Skyullocke

Umbreon had the sickest counter I’ve ever seen, props to the AI trainer, the rest of the deaths just unfortunate, ya’ll are still doing great

I shall take solace that after a mon finally got named for me, it lived well.
That was one hell of an episode. I will agree that the death this episode were unfortunate because of the randomization and stuff you can't possible predict...but the last one was just too funny. The AI absolutely outplayed you there. Nothing is lost until the last mon faints.
Also glad that Marshadow is back on the team. Been using the little guy in Pokerogue. Also during the outro I ran into an Umbreon Boss and destroyed it with Marshadow as revenge.
The reason the pair died is they had 2 rule breaking. Jigglypuff and the koala are both normal types, while the rule breaking pair is weepingbell
I can honestly say I have never been so invested in or attached to a Jigglypuff as much as Spingle. Cannot believe the AI was capable of that level of out-maneuvering. Spingle deserved better. RIP to the best little puff that ever did jiggle o7
P.s. - Skull, don't beat yourself up. Randomizers make a b*tch out of everyone, there's gonna be twists you just will never see coming. Like that time I had to face down a Wonderguard Sableye (only weakness was Fairy!) while I had 0 fairies on my squad. Sometimes the RNG just has it out for you. Keep your chip up mate, you got this ❤
1:29:23 Fun fact, if a pokemon has no moves that effect the user they switch out when they can. The reason altaria kept switching out is cause it can’t damage spingle

So I just wanna say, there were a lot of deaths this episode, and not a lot either of you could’ve done about it. Nobody expects you guys to know that Sableye knows foul play at that level in this gen, or that Umbreon knows Mean Look. You guys aren’t encyclopedias, and nobody is gonna expect you to look up every single mon’s gen 7 learnset. Nor could you have known about Refrigerate, and again, no one is going to expect you to play around things like Refrigerate anymore than they expect you to play around Innards Out. If you get nuked, you get nuked, and sometimes that’s just the way of randomized Nuzlockes. The Blood God giveth and the Blood God taketh away

Deaths are a part of learning experience in a nuzlocke, most of them were unavoidable without right knowledge. I get it, sometimes it takes a lot of time to look things up, so experiencing for yourself is a more effective way of learning. It's okay, you are getting better at the game!❤ These Rayquaza and Spingle deaths were so upsetting, but sometimes unfortunate things can happen, stay strong!

Sorry to leave another comment but seeing substitute gave me an idea for a cheese toxic stall mon. So if you chose these 4 moves:
.Toxic
.Leech seed (or aqua ring, or something to that passive healing effect)
.substitute
Protect (detect, kings shield, etc)
And then give your Pokémon leftovers.
At this point, you could set up leech seed and toxic. And once those are set up you alternate between substitute and protect to stall out the Pokémon. You also would have the leftovers and passive healing to compensate for the health loss from the substitute.
Just thought I’d share the idea. You can do whatever you want with it or don’t use it lol.

Well hearing my name every episode being called out was nice while it lasted both of my Pokemon have died one on Joey's team and the other on skulls team. o7 to Gideon and Colonel Falls. I forever love my two new favorite Pokemon Claydoll and Vanillux.

The gamba is always fun to watch, but I find the insane speeds are hard to follow on skulls side. Even if he's able to process information that quickly, I'm not able to, and it takes away from the experience not being able to follow along with what's happening.

20:05 Joey transform copies stat changes Including stat drops. Also while eviolite on spingle does work the boost is based on spingles original defenses ( so if spingle has 20 def then you add 50% of that to the Pokémon you turn into, not 50% of that Pokémon’s defense)

Edit 2: WOW the AI absolutely COOKED. Not only the struggle on Skull's end (entirely NOT your fault) but the Perish Song outplay against Joey. I'm so glad this isn't the episode I returned home to from my mini vacation. Spingle!!!!
All of the deaths that Skull had mean nothing compared to Joey killing off Cannoli. True pain seeing the one named after my wife's cat go out like that, without even getting a last stand.

Loving the lock. I will say I didn't understand the de-leveling on both Fruits and here. Seems like if pokemon were overlevelled, the plan should've been to grab other pairs in the PC. If or when all pokemon are overlevelled then de-levelling would make sense. Great lock either way
So...I think this episode was the games way of agreeing with Skull about the overleveling. It made sure it wasn't an issue. 😂
Also, Skull, that Rayquaza death was only your fault in the sense that maybe if there was another pokemon that you killed earlier in your party, you might have been able to counter it without dying. However, foreseeing refrigerate in that moment was not possible. You can analyze and blame yourself for other deaths, but that one is the least your fault death of the entire nuzlocke from episode 1.
Also, Joey, I know losing Spingle hurts, but does it hurt worse knowing that you yourself killed it? Also, at the start of this nuzlocke did you ever think you would be so attached to a Jigglypuff? 🤣

Unexpected refrigerate is on par with innards out or pure power. If you try and play around it for every fight you'll never get anywhere. Just gotta keep an eye out for that pokemon in the future. Can't blame Skull for that at all, that's brutal
