Love the content, not really for the hunting or the fishing but for the family atmosphere and Robert’s recipes. Thank you for sharing, makes my mouth water ☺️👍🏻👩🏻🏫🫶🏼🐈😘❣️
Easier said than done but the PNW is a great place to forage. We not only have all the seafood that he has shown but a ton more. We have halibut, Lingcod, Razor clams, etc. In the forests we obviously have deer, elk, bears, cougar, and grouse. Foraging in the forests you can find a TON of wild grown mushrooms that are edible (non hallucinogenic), tons of different berries, baby ferns, etc.
White Rock ! Pretty much home ! Thank you for spending time with me and my dad that day and showing us how the knives were manufactured ! That was so cool Rob ! God bless you and the family !
Great video harvesting some farm raised clams, glad to see that your mom got a silver stag knife with her name on it! Love you guy's Good Bless, & have a safe trip home!
Silver Stag Knives are freaking amazing. I bought my dad one for Christmas, it broke, and they immediately said send it back and we will replace it free of charge. Customer service like that is something we don't see anymore. Thank you for introducing my family to them, Robert.
Been a subscriber since the beginning, really cool to see the growth of the channel, how far it’s come and how your enthusiasm for content is still the same. You’ve got a beautiful family, Rob and Sarah, and it’s gonna be great for your kids to watch these videos when they’re older. Keep up the great work! 👍🏻
Ok Rob . Next time fill a fish net bag with fresh clams .Tie off and suspend in bay water for 24 to 48 hours . This will purge them completely. I like to add cellery , onion, garlic. wine lemon and steam with a little water as well in a basket remove basket of clams and thicken juice with corn starch . Serve over pasta and munch clams . Tim in the greater Seattle area .
Thanks Rob! Yet another amazing catch clean and cook. Keep up the great work! We love watching you and your family grow. We have added you to part of our daily routine. Much love from Clearwater.
Hey guys, y'all keep sending us the best and the time that you've shared with us in upstate Washington has been special. What a great family, group of friends and a special shout out to the locals there that made this an awesome video. Thank You!
Your videos have been so awesome !!! I just love watching you guys!!! Your family is so close and that is somthing not everyone has. So cherish the memories!!! Have a wonderful day!!! 💜💜
wow congrats on 1M subcribers! I remember when you had less then 5k subs starting out and I've been watching your videos since! Really is enjoyable to see you catch & clean and spend time with friends and family! Keep it up!
Great video! Love it! I have a great, super easy recipe for something that goes with clams, oysters, and mussels. When I was in Spain for the Olympics in 1992, the bread that restaurants gave you as an appetizer was sliced and toasted on charcoal. It was served with garlic, fresh tomatoes, and olive oil. You take the grilled bread and rub the garlic cloves all over. The bread acts like sandpaper and you are left with little bits of garlic all over. Then you drizzle the olive oil on the bread and smear it around with the tomatoes, while you squeeze them a little bit. Discard the leftover tomato, hit it with a little salt and pepper, and eat! It is super easy and super delicious. I had to share what we do at my house! Thank you for sharing you adventures!
I Loved Your Togetherness with all loved ones and the more Special Mom & Dad...I loved it watching them all involved & Enjoying... Wanna thank you so very much with all my Heart & Love you All +++++++
Jesús Crist I love your videos. The most important thing is hanging out with family at the end of the day...God bless your family. Keep doing a good job. Love you all. From Africa- Angola/Luanda.
Beautiful family, your father seems like a gentle soul & Mrs. Arrington proud of her knife, yes pls! Clams.. are delicious. "Tax collector", Lol !! Thanks for brightening up my day & God bless you guys! ❤️
When the camera locked onto your daughter looking into the camera, I actually started doing funny faces to make her laugh. I literally forgot it was a video. You have a rocking cameraman. Keep the videos coming.
Literally one of the only channels i come back to time and time again, been watching since before yall were married! love yall!!!! ...come to colorado so i can meet you guys! xD
NEW SUBSCRIBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!! My post notifications are on!!!! Sarah, you deserve the "Mother of the Year" award! I don't know many moms who can literally sit and fish while watching their baby! You and Rob have the most beautiful babies! And Rob, don't even let me get started on you! You are a WONDERFUL father and cook/chef! You guys just don't know the impact that you've had on my life! And the fact that you, Rob, have a christian family means even more to me because their aren't much youtube families that are christians. If you guys could PLEASE shout me out in a video or read this comment in a video, it would mean THE WORLD TO ME!!!!!! Have a great day! (Sorry if its a lot of info, just had to get it off my chest)
Robert, been a fan and all since you hit about 70k subs. So proud of you, i’ve been fishing since about 6 and people think im whack when i drive 3 hours to fish by myself at cherrygrove for some good fishing. Good stuff bro, keep it up.
The best clams are in Portugal: Just ask for Ameijoas (Clams) Bolhao Pato Style . The best varieties to eat are: Ameijoa Macha (Venerupis Pullastra), Ameijoa Boa(Ruditaoes Decussatus), Ameijoa Branca(Spisula Solida) and Ameijoa Japonesa(Tapes Semidecussatus) and of course with white Vinho Verde wine Alvarinho or Loureiro
Dad obviously like the clams battered and fried better. I personally prefer the steamed ones. As a kid growing up in Huntington Long Island my dad used to come home early from work if the tides were low and take me clam digging. Great memories came to me watching this video.
Ive just recently found your channel and I jusr wanna say awesome job y'all. Youre genuine and family friendly and just all around awesome. Keep it up.
I live right in Tacoma, would have been a blast to just meet the family, ill do that when i swing pass there... Awesome!!! family time, its very important all memories. SOLID!!!
I can appreciate what and how you all came about and to enjoy those clams. My sister and I have beach property on the Puget Sound just south of Kingston Harbor. We can go clamming 40ft from our stairs. Silver Salmon from the bulkhead. Thank You for sharing your experience.
One thing with steamed clams up here in PNW is lots of good sourdough bread with lots of butter to soak up the butter and clam juice. And I think we all know who is a huge fan of Butter - right Rob?
I love this guy he's so positive almost like romanatwood myself I love fishing but if I didn't like fishing I would still watch him he great @deermeatfordinner keep up the great work my favorite thing in the work is offshore fishing so we should do it some time here in Texas city or galveston
Right around the 10 min mark, man that says it all for me. Rob: "It's really cool for you to make the deer meat for dinner line." Brad: " What's really cool is our partnership and friendship man. Friendship first." This is literally why I only buy Silver Stag. Family orientated channel, Family orientated knife company. Nothing better.
Never said I had them all, yes they are expensive. Everyone has their own plan when buying knives. I’m 27, the plan is to have a solid set which cover a wide range of jobs, collected over time. I want that fillet knife more than anything but I’m still using a cheapo with a rubber handle, no race just a easy marathon. To each his own. Move along.
Since I just moved to Tennessee I,l give away my favorite clamming spot in st Augustine Florida, it's straight behind the lighthouse, there's some docks with mud underneath, take a pointed shovel, they're about 5 inches deep. Just start stabbing the mud, when you find a bunch, get some gloves on (the old oyster shells will cut your bare hands) you can stick both hands in the mud and feel them. I could fill a five gallon bucket in an hour or so. If anyone goes there, let me know on this post please.
I think that the silver anniversary is at 25 years so you may have to wait another 10 years. You might get a tin or aluminum stag this time though - LOL.
Some people call them butter clams, some call them steamers, I believe the correct name is manila clams. I LOVE THEM! Big pot of those steamed, big pot of steamed crab, a big pot of oyster chowder and I'm not leaving the table until its all gone! You should try making an oyster chowder. Same as the regular new england clam chowder but with oysters, don't forget to grind a few oysters up and toss them into the soup so that they dissolve and give a nice sweet flavor to the chowder ohh and we always put corn in our chowder! Try it some time!
Ohh and a little trick for cleaning them before cooking! Clean water and mix in a bit of corn meal. They suck in the corn meal and spit out the sand. Give it an hour or 2 and you will get a lot less sand in your clams.
Good morning mr. Deermeat im a huge fan from the San Francisco bay area you and your brother bluegabe inspired me and my brother to really enjoy the outdoors... Ps my son would love to meet you guys. Im pretty sure this message is far reaching sir keep up the great work dmfd....
everytime they cut to the seals, and they were looking back, all i could think of was the seals from finding nemo where they are on the rock repeating mine over and over
I have familys down in santa rosa ca. and they do this all the time foraging for geoduck clams, crabs fish anything, great and healthy way to eat if u ask me👍👍👍
Love the content, not really for the hunting or the fishing but for the family atmosphere and Robert’s recipes. Thank you for sharing, makes my mouth water ☺️👍🏻👩🏻🏫🫶🏼🐈😘❣️

I love how you guys just take things you catch home and share it with your families and sit down and eat ❤️
Rob is always eatin like a king and I’m over here eating cereal. I need to get to the Pacific Northwest and start foraging.
Easier said than done but the PNW is a great place to forage. We not only have all the seafood that he has shown but a ton more.
