There's winning, and then there's winning!.... Brilliant way to describe the fact that holding caps and using good strategy is better than doing over 100k damage!
And I learned something in the process - use HE against Smolensk in this thing XD The border between the two outer rings is an ideal BB position, since you can quickly switch, and if you hold both, you get more points than the centre. I need to make a video about this.
Hi Terry, firstly, congrats once again for 3k subs!!! But there are a few things I'd like to point out, you might have noticed that your turrets break a lot in her, that's actually because you run reload, the reload mod decreases reload by 5% while survivability of your guns is decreased by 25% so it causes your main guns to break a lot. And second, you did not push, this ship is meant to push and tank and be played at mid-range, the gimmick of the Ru BBs is that they are meant to push in hard, in the second game I think you should've pushed in with FdG. Thanks for the review Terry love your content as always!!!
Yes, I need to run the reload mod in slot 1 to get two salvos off with the precise aim active. There are ships that have sufficient turret armour to support this, Kremlin is kinda average in that regard. The alternative would be to take precision, and accept only one salvo with precise aim. She doesn't feel like an aggressive ship to me. Her armour is average, and she lacks manoeuvrability to dodge shells. German BBs can't manoeuver either, but they have the armour to tank till they get into secondary range. That said, I'll be happy to try a secondary-spec Kremlin (after a drink), the 130s aren't bad.
Everybody laughed at me when I got Conqueror as my 1st T10... Now I laugh as they burn! But on the video related note, I was wandering which BB line to do for "Classic BB" role. After Your review, I'm thinking Germans, they seem safe and noob friendly. I'm still quite the noob, because I literaly Beelined the British BB line. Now I'm making up for it. Trying to play a little of everything, on my way to next T10, to get into the mindset of ships I'm playing against. Current targets: Venezia,GK, Wooster and DD line, but I'm torn between Shima and Daring. (Got Gallant, and really enjoying it.)
I wouldn't say German BBs are noob-friendly. Especially in T9 and 10, it can get quite difficult, since both teams lean towards BB battles at max range, and a German BB needs to be at 7km to become effective. It takes correct timing, if you rush ahead in the beginning, you'll be either DD food or focused down. Between Shima and Daring, my personal goal is the latter. I find single-fire torps very effective, and she's an excellent gunboat on top. Alternatively, maybe try the Pan-Asians, so far I've loved every one of them.
IDK. Haven't played Yamato enough to compare, but Yama has better range, which is significant for this playstyle imo, and the AA doesn't make a huge difference in T10, unless you're a USN cruiser with defAA up. It's not my style tbh, so I'm not likely to grind either, but you've seen what Yama can do to Kremlin, that 15k dmg salvo.
Hey terry, saw you in the Yamato the other day and I thought we were getting a Yamato vid lol Btw, can you help tell the developers about a bug with the level 12 commander skill? I just got the “giant hunter” commander skill and tested it with my friend in a CV, and to my disappointment there isn’t any change in the damage numbers despite the skill stating “+1% damage to cruisers, +2% to BB, +3% to CV” Thanks
Cheers, I'll check that out. I think some other commander skills may be wonky as well. Yeah, that must have been when I sailed out in Yama by accident. I was wondering why the guns were better, and where my fourth precise aim had gone...

I like to snipe and duel. kind so which crusier or battle do you think fit my description. It doesnt have to be the one i list but which crusier or battle ship do you recommend for my play style.
Personally, I prefer the Kurfürst. Kremlin has a long reload and poor range for the role, Yamato would be better suited for the long range play. Kurfürst needs to get into secondary range to be effective, which in tier 10 requires some map awareness. Something like Montana might be a good middle ground. I haven't played Moskva, but Hindenburg is awesome both at range and close up.
the reason why they didnt focus on making the soviet navy strong is because first of all they pooled their resources to tanks and planes (idk about the planes but ill mention them here) second of all they didnt need to since the us and the uk were destroying the german and japan navy by alot so they didnt really need to intervine and to me it was a good thing since they both have access to land borders of both japan and germany and didnt really need to invade via land (unless both was heavily defended and have to land somewhere else with the use of ships) Note: this is my opinion as to why soviets hardly made any ships and there could be a different reason why like running out of resources and stuff which is highly impossible

Hey could you explain which is a better cruiser the Henri iv or Venezia I am trying to choose between these two but I don’t know which one should I buy any thought?
2:40 min: Size is not all! You need the right technic to handle this caliber! Yesterday, I got the battle star because of the highest damage caused, most kills, most aircraft kills, and being the last survivor of my team. All I had was 4x2 towers of 152 mm against t8 and t9 ships. But we lose because the rest of my team sucks with their big guns… It was my first battle with over 70k damage caused on this ship. Also, it was my first time that I set a ship 7 times in fire and hot over 240 times with the main guns.
Massive calibre guns with very slow reload are often dependent on chance. Salvo out at 13km - either you get a citadel and score 10-15k dmg, or you get three bounces and a semi-pen for 1k. And have to wait almost half a minute to try again. That's why I prefer German BBs. The main guns are there to entertain me while I'm getting into secondary range, and then it's all cannons free. Meh main salvo? Who cares, I got 150mm AP to shred things with.
And the success of my light cruiser always depends on being not the chance. xD In the battle was also BBs with really strong HEs and the end with less than 30k Damage. I mean that really no good result even you are unlucky, or?
