  • See what types of sustainability roles can be available in the consumer products space. It’s more than just the sustainability team that works to improve the environmental impacts but involves a whole bunch of important internal stakeholders to make it happen. I definitely only have a high level of what these types of roles can do but hope it helps to show that you can pursue a sustainability role that doesn’t necessarily mention the word “sustainability” in the title. The right role for you might just be one with a non-sustainability title that includes sustainability as PART of the role.
    Until next time,
    Tyanna 💜💫

Thank you so much Tyanna!! Months ago I was feeling so lost early on in my career, not knowing what was out there in sustainability, much less how to get there. Your videos have been super encouraging for me to build towards the future and transition my career in these ~uncertain time in my life~ 🙏😄🎉

I'm so glad I found your channel. I am watching all your videos. I am a Biotechnology engineer (graduated last year) and I've been working as a project intern at the centre for sustainable studies at Indian Institute of science on waste waster management. I have changed from course of mainstream biotech to sustainability. I am very passionate about nature, especially plants and trees. But the Indian job market prefers conventional college degrees, and I'm praying to find a good job that can help me learn and gain experience. And in future I want to study mote. I hope. Thank you for your videos!
One more question, sorry to bother you but considering my skill sets as a engineer, and having done several course and projects "green" themed. What job profile would suit me the most? Or where do I have more chances of being hired?

omg i just discovered your channel. i want to set up my career in sustainability. since I've started off my current career as a fashion designer, I've been so mind blown by how wasteful and toxic this industry is. i want to be on the side of the industry that solves these problems. your videos gave me a boost, and hopefully I get through grad school :)

Thanks for sharing your story ☺️ when the times get tough it’s great to remember why you’re doing something in the first place. Good luck finishing up grad school!!

Love your vids Tyanna!! Your vids are the most informative when it comes to jobs in sustainability. I haven't been able to find much else as far as people's opportunities/experience in the field, so thank you! I am interested in getting a degree in this field, but I have read that being in sustainability may require a lot of traveling. Is it necessary for every position?? I would love to pursue sustainability, but I do not want to be traveling frequently if I do end up pursuing this. Thanks again for these vids!! Love learning from you!

Hi Capri, thanks for this thoughtful note! The short answer is it depends on your job. If you’re doing more land development, agriculture, aquaculture type of roles then yes you’ll probably need to travel to inspect! But if it’s outside of that then probably not. Hope this helps!
