Love this video. I have a print that was hand painted from a stamped print. Looks like water color. It's old. I want to get it appraised, but the appraisal will probably cost more than the painting is worth! Love ya!

Wow with all the fakes out there I'd love a video about what to look for - like the nails added later to make it look old - I'm seeing soooo much of that on Ebay its hard to tell!!

How in the world could you tell what the value of an oil painting if it has no signature for instance I bought at a yard sale an abstract and the woman said I could have it for a dollar and I kind of hemmed and hawed and I said to myself I don't know. I need it and then she says to me oh you can have it for free and I said oh great but it has no signature. I just brought it home because anything that's free and you think it could be possibly where something is going to come home with you. LOL as in art that is. So it's very unique but the signature part is what worries me most art that I have has signatures
How can I tell? Ph.D. in art history, years working as a curator and director in art museums, reviewing over 20,000 items a year for over 20 years. Save yourself the time and show me what you've got :)
