Was into scooters and all things Mod when i was 19/20 in the early 90's. Not easy in New Zealand when the 'other' presence on the road was Hog and Triumph chopper riding Mongrel Mob and Highway 61 gangs. In NZ at that time if you rode a Supersport or P series Vespa you were considered something of a pansy! i got fed up with pushing the Li 150 and ruining my fishtail and flash clothes haha! eventually restored and sold the motorscooter in 2007 for $10,000 and bought a new Hinckley Bonneville. Happy days motoring for ever after... The thing i like about Mod clobber is its classic look and timelessness. i still pull out the odd blazer or shirt from my wardrobe and get favorable comments from my partner or friends, even when they're almost 25+ years old. As for Pretty Green: Yeah they're alright. Liam is a top a geezer and i'd happily contribute to his lifestyle fund. Wouldn't buy a target t-shirt or parka though. past all that label touting ticket nonsense. Perhaps a Corduroy tunic or a chunky roll neck sweater instead.
That old rocker sounds like a bit of a sheep Oh my friends used to dress like that so I did to. My friends asked me to help them attack the mods so I did.
I'm a mod. I sat outside in the pissing down snow in my parka and my suit and trousers were bone dry.
you don't have to buy from a label to be a mod
