Hello dear Carlos is a wonderful person who loves figs and he is really smart and knows what the tree needs. I am one of the people who love him. Thanks for everything.
You guys are awesome! I have over 20 figs rooting using the technique you put on TH-cam. Hopefully, I will have my first fig trees this next year. Your details are so helpful. Thank you Alex and Carlos.
You are so informative. Just stumbled onto the Carlos Rivera “Series” love them ❣️❣️ Keep them coming. So many fig varieties I’ve never heard of. Will definitely Appreciate and Sharing👍🏾
How can I reach out to you to buy some I-258 cuttings want a fig Giardino and I love what you have done with your orchid! Please please get back to me on how I can reach out to you. I live in Ontario and we have a lot here but not like anything close to what you have
What part of NJ are you in? I'm in PA right next to the border. I have a verity of fig I would love for you to try and if. You want I can give you cuttings to have one of your own. Let me know. The name of the fig is Abou George. The man I got the tree from said it's a Syrian fig. It's super tasty. I actually have a bunch of figs and various trees just like you. Anything from figs to Meyer lemons to stone fruits. Also, the fig is very cold, hearty. It can survive out temps in winter. You can have it in the ground.
Would be nice how much fettilizer is in that hand in tablespoon. The fertilizer says 3 table spoons for 5 gal pots(12inch) and 5 for 7(14inch) gallons. I give my 5 and 7 gal pots 2 tablespoons of it trying to follow similar schedule as carlos. Just feed them 2 tablespoons to each tree
Hello, I finally got my first fig, I planted it in a container, can I use any mulch or does it has to be color free? Thank you for sharing your knowledge I am learning a lot
Thank you for sharing your info! If possible, could you throw that amount on a scale and let us know how many grams it is? It seems very little from the video. I usually put a lot more and I'm wondering if I'm wasting fertilizer.
Did you mention what proportion of potting mix and pine bark. Look like I missed that. I’m using leaf mulch and pine bark 50/50. But my leaf mulch it’s completely decomposed. And I trying to take from bottom
Whats his growing zone? Im in canada zone 6a/5b. I get told to use tons of liquid fertilizer early in the spring the chemical stuff For the spring. The logic behind that is to give them ton of nitrogen to wake them up and put fast growth, then use a more balanced liquid fertilizer for fruiting in the phosphorous department, for a month and then start using the organic liquid stuff and granular
@@FigCzar my figs are in my cold room with no light its going to be my first fig year. I got the same fertilizer as you got just for the figs. I spreaded the recommanded amount to my newly potted 5 gals and 7 gal pots. So 3 table spoons and 5 table spoons. Mixed it in, i have yet to water because the soil is atill very humid and the humidity is at 80% in the room. Im a bit late on the schedule you use i should have probably put half strenght in it. My next feedings are set for may 15 and july 15. Should i cut the fertilizer in half for may 15 or still give full strenght? I have other fertilizers like chicken pellets with 3-2-1 and another one for my vegetable garden 4-6-8. I also have fish liquid fertilizer 2-3-1 and dry seaweed wih 0-0-17. Do you suggets using any of these along the main fertilizer? I have a bunch of cuttings im starting right now on fig pops i have yet to see roots in them. I have more coming this week.
Great !! Straight to the point and demonstration given. No endless minutes of mindless talking.....
Thank you.....😊😊

I only use pine mulch ,color free! Congratulations on your first fig 👏
What is the best soil blend of ingredients to use for figs and how often do you condition the pots do to root tangible root bind
How often do you repotted change the soil? thank you Carlos, Nick
Every 3 years on average!
White pine mulch produced bugs eating roots ,what`s up with that?
This one was a beauty, Carlos is da bomb baybe 😁
Awesome video! Do you ever pull the trees out of the pots and root prune and repot? If so, how often?
Root prune should be done after 3 years in the same pot!
Thank you for sharing your info! If possible, could you throw that amount on a scale and let us know how many grams it is? It seems very little from the video. I usually put a lot more and I'm wondering if I'm wasting fertilizer.
Is about 3 table spoons of fertilizer you don't need more than that!
thank you
How much is his water bill in summer?:) How many gallons per season?

What would Carlos recommend if pine bark mulch isn't available near me. Any other alternatives?
That's the only wood chips we use and even here they are hard to get at least the ones we use,I guess that other wood chips would do the trick too!
What NPK ratio does your fertilizer have?
12-4-8
