Dude, the Grand Chateau was my go-to hotel room in my 20s. Very prime location since it’s across the street from Miracle Mile. I don’t do the timeshare stuff… but you can reserve a room at the Grand Chateau just like any other Marriott hotel room. The most awesome part is that valet is free (no standard parking) and there is NO RESORT FEES!! Which is nuts given the location. The pool area gets pretty poppin during the summer months, and is very much underrated. The hotel location makes it really easy for DoorDash/UberEats in case you need a convenient bite - an great option for anyone that works in hotel room like I do. I haven’t stayed at that place for YEARS, but if you get the right-sized villa, then it could be a good place to a budget-minded group since the couch can turn into a bed and you have the option to request for extra cots. One small note.. only the Villas have a washer/dryer. The Guest Rooms (which are more closer designed to a standard hotel room) don’t.
Marriott employee here, this is the best hotel to stay for large groups. Super cheap (with my employee discount) and very convenient. I like this hotel because it also give you a break from all the craziness that's happening on the strip and i also like that i don't have to walk through a casino floor and spend like 10 min before I get to my room.

The hotel looks quite luxorius ,premises look great 😎Modern world castle/ chateau nice view from the 38:th floor 3:56 ,overall seems quite nice hotel 🙂Thank you for sharing Jay 🙂👍!!!
I just don’t get time shares. Glorified hotel rooms at triple the cost plus annual maintenance fees till you die, then your estate has to settle a one time settlement fee. Not worth it.
My sister and brother are timeshare owners, and often they can't use the credits they have or are expiring, so I check with them if I need to stay someplace for a trip. The Grand Chateau is the go to spot for Marriott owners, just have to plan out the dates you want to stay. Usually we drive up, so we bring food and snacks, and the rooms do have all you need to cook a family meal. They also have one bedroom suites and studios, which is like a regular hotel room.
Staying in a timeshare in vegas in June. Our place is a 3-bedroom too. You don't always have to do the timeshare meeting. For the most part I tell them to bugger off. But it's cool. Mine is across the street from Top Golf.
My first time in Vegas I stayed here back in 2012 with an ex gf through their timeshare .Was in a 2bd/2ba room. I really enjoyed my stay there. Like you stated it's a short walk to the Strip and it does remind you of Paris. It looks like they did some renovations since then. I'd stay there again!
Great video. I go to Vegas enough that a timeshare might make financial sense, but I like trying out all of the different properties on separate trips. That place has an amazing gym, no doubt.
It really depends on the timeshare and how good the management is to keep the maintenance costs down. I have 4 weeks and Puerto Rico that cost me $3,000 total each year, I can trade it anywhere in the world and I probably save $10,000 a year. But if you're near retirement and looking to save money it's one of the things I would get rid of. If you're on a tight budget, otherwise we have enjoyed it for 30 plus years
I've always wondered about this place and how it works. Thanks for making this! Can you do a short showing how you pack the coffee maker from hotel to hotel? lol
That looked pretty nice and spacious. I have always heard Times share were not worth it and a rip off. I had a friend who had one in Orlando, Florida, and he sold it.
Hello jay I think time share for u is worth it. Cause I had time share too I got it from there too but not the marriott’s .Marriott is more expensive . We got tye Grandview Las Vegas but its still okay cause u can also stay there if u want . It really depends on how mich one many bedrooms u are paying every month. We only got the one bedroom we are paying 188.00 per momth and if u want to stay a week for only $199.00 plus resorts fee . Not bad for a week stay right? Just have to book early.
Nice intro video, Jay. I'm a frequent traveller and owner of Marriott (M), Hilton (H) and Disney (D) time share programs. Timeshare has a poor reputation and can assure you it's really considered "fractional ownership" (OK, Disney is timeshare in a true sense) but M & H are programs where you actually OWN a piece paying taxes and gifting in your estate. I always think of these three programs as long range money savers, think a 401V (like 401K- the retirement savings) in that after you pay off these purchases you by far pay less in the stays since its just annual maintenance to keep the places in tip top share (Grand Chateu regularly goes through updating every part of its facility as do all of them). Thinking long range why pay a few hundred to thousands of dollars for single hotel rooms or even larger Villa's when you can own? Do the math it works out in the long run. Lastly, for M and H, you can swap use of the Vacation Clubs for the hotel Bonvoy point program and stay at a few hundred thousand hotels all over the world instead; again the cost is simply the annual maintenance.

Once that hotel is built over travelodge i wonder if that area will improve
Gotta go back to that sky bar during the summer
Agreed!

It definitely is a great option for families and a place to prepare food and not go out all the time!

Tell em to bugger off for sure haha!

Yeah its a decent spot and very close to miracle mile shops!
Good to know!
Stayed there for two weeks in 2017. It was awesome! Definitely recommend this place.
Thanks for the info! I had no idea how timeshares work or what they are like. I’d love to see you do another review of one!
definitely will do another in the future!

Yeah u just have to plan in advance so u can save but its definitely worth it if u go a lot
It’s cheaper to stay for a month than a week? Or is that per day?
It is one of the few areas in Vegas that I never visited. The place looks like, though.
Same!
Stay across the street at Elara. Way nicer and more modern.
I will at some point
The pool area looks pretty cool

Thanks for this detailed info! Really informative and helps me understand a little more! 🤙🏾
What’s the purchase price until you pay the annual “maintenance” fee?
The two shower heads are so you can shower with someone else at the same time so you dont gotta share one.
Nice!
👍🙂
🤙🏾🤙🏾
I would subscribe but don't like watching people eat greasy meaty foods, unlike deserts that are fine cuz they're awesome.
Wearing the VGK toque! Seriously though... Why would anyone want to come to Vegas to watch a hockey game? 🤣
Whats a Toque?
@@Jaycation Oops... It's the Canadian word for "beanie." 🤣
Haha i just like the VEGAS logo its cool!
You may not go to Las Vegas specifically to go to an NHL game, but if there is a game while you are there and you're a hockey fan, why not?
@@primemover1416 haha it was an inside joke. pat in fact does love hockey 🏒
