I can understand wanting a break after the next go around, but I'd definitely be interested in seeing the game come back in the future. Some of the routes are wildly different based on what you do earlier on or during the route
I feel like trying to find everything could be taxing, so yeah, a break is fine. It's totally an amazing game, so I'll be sad, but if it comes back later, then hey, whatever
re: Memory Hunting, taking a break is good. Maybe do it as a between games thing like Rain World paths have been, where you Memory Hunt one Vessel. Two if you're feeling cheeky or you had a lot of coverage already. idk, I'm sure you'll figure out something that threads the needle.
I don't think her falling in love is a defense mechanism. I feel like, regardless of route, she falls in love in one way or another. Sometimes it's in a more understandable way, sometimes it's a bit of a stretch. A goddess desiring your devotion and servitude, a ghost deciding to haunt you forever, a beast that wants to literally become one by eating you, they're all takes on wanting to be with you. I think the narrator is the one doing the lying and cheating TBH
She doesn't just fall in love she was always in love - you were part of the same being after all. Plus Spectre doesn't want to haunt you forever, she's willing to put aside her differences because all she really wants is to go home, and anything she said about haunting you is just her playing. And Nightmare, though technically not a ghost, doesn't want to haunt _you_ she wants to haunt the world with you by her side. Plus the narrator isn't lying or cheating, he's actually telling the truth, or rather he's telling fragments of the truth but it's for our protection, since anything he says may affect our perception of the princess.
While I would love to see you play more and collect all the stickers because I enjoy seeing games be fully completed, I understand that the series is starting to get long and no one wants to keep doing the same thing over and over again. There's still a lot more to the routes, like getting to chapter 3s through different chapter 2s, but maybe it's better to take a hiatus from the series again.
Now that all of the Chapter 2's are confirmed got, I'd like to break down the Memories a little. I don't understand why the Chapter 2 stickers are organized the way they are, but they can be roughly divided into groups. If I've got this right, there are five Chapter 2's that require the Blade, two that require no Blade, two that can appear on either, and then the Stranger if you never go to the cabin. And for the Chapter 3's, all but one of the remaining Chapters are either brand new or overhauled in the Pristine Cut! The end for this playthrough, with no regrets if it's gone for good, is in sight. But however things go, just remember: there are no wrong decisions, and there are no premature endings. This is a love story.
Close but not quite: While there are five chapter 2's that require the blade (Adversary; Tower; Prisoner; Razor; Spectre), there are just three that require no blade (Damsel; Witch; Beast), only one where it doesn't matter (Nightmare) and Stranger. Plus, Damsel and Prisoner are grouped together, not only because the only difference between getting them is whether or not you take the blade, but also because they both share Grey. Also he hasn't fully seen Den yet and that was overhauled.
I kinda doubt it exists but I wonder if there's a chapter 1 ending. I kinda think the Narrator and the Princess both make that impossible but it is an interesting thought. I may have to play around with the game myself on how to orchestrate that, if you can.
Tags: listen to me, being all finalistic, but there's still, a whole other full cycle to enjoy, after this one, ell oh ell
i will say, all the chapter 3s you *dont* have yet are all super duper sick
so true

He also hasn't properly done Den yet - he still needs to do that at least

The cutting of the hand always makes me feel sick, especially with her eyes and all.
Hey don't diss her eyes ,they're beautiful. And big. 👀 And round.
