Total respect for your doing Uber rides etc, there was a disappointed Mom and directionless son but best she got out of the car than stay and a fight broke out in YOUR CAR. (Even if a door got jammed up, it could have been 100% worse) You handled it wonderfully :o)
that's why I don't use Uber (I mostly need rides too/from Airport and there are still many Taxi companies that service the airport). It is the same with AirBnB, I will never stay in an AirBnB after I found out that Hosts think they have a right to record paying guests, so you could be having a private cell phone conversation (they have camera with video/audio inside and out). No Thanks. And some of these Uber drivers that have a lot of subscribers/views are maknig thousands per month, recording customers and posting online (without there permission), so they are making additional money off their paying customers. If they want to record in event of a crime, they can show it to the police if requested (its not a public sidewalk its a paid service).
How stupid is that! Any time you take a ride with anyone or the companies you stated' there are is no such privacy! You only get the comfort of privacy if your driving your own ride, this driver did nothing wrong. It's just you.

@@tclbbs1 At taxi training we were taught the cab is like a confessional, to respect peoples privacy & for repeat business. In the mid 90's I'd make a weeks salary on a weekend. Not that good now is it?

Yes, they knew they are being recorded, it is posted on the windows, and in the app. Not my fault they don't read. Not illegal, 1 party consent state.
