Hey do you mind sharing the location? What line and road you use? I am just starting getting into the fishing and would love to try out in this beautiful place some day with my family.
Sure thing. This was Heart Lake and Rogers Pass Lake in the James Peak Wilderness. I use 6lb braid line with no leader just to flex on the fly guys ;) The rod is here: www.basspro.com/shop/en/bass-pro-shops-micro-lite-glass-spinning-rod?hvarAID=shopping_googleproductextensions&ds_e=GOOGLE&ds_c=BPS%7CShopping%7CSmart%7CFishing%7CGeneral%7CNAud%7CTopPerf%7CNMT&gclid=Cj0KCQjwjbyYBhCdARIsAArC6LK2T8txgCJnUuCLtju3VhuwPMOtEADaOswBiauju8m9a7N10Cc5dg0aAmCXEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
I’m from Colorado. Living in AZ since 2000. 2 years ago my friend and I fished the Colorado river and lake Evelyn in Grand County. Last year my wife and I fished rainbow lake in the Mt Zirkell wilderness area. Check out our catches on my channel. I want to fish these lakes this August and get out of the southern Arizona heat.
Shoot i throw that same fly spinner on a baitcaster. Great vid, im from CO too, love to see the content. We all have our preferences 😂 im honestly just terrible with a spinning rod.
First time I've been to a premiere. Fun to watch!
Thanks for being here!
I heart this video. My friend roger knew a pass that had lakes that look like this. Great fish!
Pretty cool with float tube, never done it. Have you thought of small depth finder? You could put transducer on bottom of shoe, haha What no garlic!
Yes. Have used the garmin castable one
Love your videos man. Amazing looking spot, those mountains 👌
Thanks Josh!
Good stuff Lance!
Thanks buddy!
Awesome stuff lance!
Thank you Drew!
Sick video! I'm definitely gonna have to come out here for some fishing and/or camping this summer. Been looking for alpine lakes just like this one!

That lake is beautiful. Reminds me of the CP&W fishing cover for 2016. Thanks for sharing.

Do you recommend the rod you were using at the start? That fiberglass Bass Pro Shops one? It's very noodly, I know.
Yes. It’s all use for trout. Very noodly but you just have to be careful with it when moving around.
You're making me jealous. Not as much fishing as I would have hoped for this year!
Thanks Mike!
Still waiting to see the trophies...
You’ll have to rewatch cupcake 😘
What float tube do you have?
I like this brand. It’s made for alpines. wildernesslitefloattubes.com/index.html

Fishy
Why don’t you just get into fly fishing?
I’m not the “Boulder” type.

@@fishingwithlance You don't have to be the "Boulder" type to use a net instead of ripping trout to dry land
@jackv7094 why are you telling on yourself sweetie?
