That was incredibly fun to watch you try my weirdo tricks, and you did it! Thank you for hitting me up and taking on my little challenge, you’re the best ❤️
lmao yeah my local doesn’t even have a real ledge. The only thing we got close to one is this 6 stair that’s made out of that recycled plastic stuff and it’s only about 5 feet long.
A skatepark near you at all is a blessing to any skater I have to either walk two hours or ride a bus for 3 hours just to get to any skatepark down here in Florida. Just something as simple as a piece of smooth flat ground being very close to me would make my life so much easier.
Local Denton people love that park for what it is and don't complain about it, dude doesn't know what he's talking about. We're all just thankful to have it in the first place and the obstacles are super unique in their own way.
@@shmooveyea To be fair, he was learning new tricks. Of course people learn new tricks all the time in busy public parks, but John probably got into his own head about it.
People complain about this kind of park, but I grew up on this kind of park and it just makes me so much more creative and the feeling of rolling up to a 'good park' is just so much more amazing.
I skated a “forgotten” skatepark here in Texas in my recent video from yesterday. As John Hill would say, every skatepark has its potential! Lol. Great video as always John!👍🏻🔥💯
Seriously one of your best videos in a long time. I've loved watching Jason Park the last several weeks so thanks collaborating with him and giving him a shoutout! Keep working on the transition. It's great to see you genuinely struggle and learn new things. Great job pushing through!
Just wanted to say.. Thanks man. I travel a lot for my job and am a bit hefty on weight, but despite all that your videos pumped me up to keep skating even in hard times. Thank you so much. I hope Texas treated you well. Much love stay safe.
I love your videos. I just got into skating and am really likening it. In your videos you include some of your fails and falls and it helps me see that even pros like you fall and cant land everything. This makes me feel like I’ll get ther eventually
When I was a kid (I was a BMX kid, and Mountain Biker now) back in the 80s there was no Skate park. The idea that there should be any public skate park was unheard of. We dreamed of having some place like this where we were actually allowed to go.
It's fun seeing John try new tricks, with his skating already being so clean and consistent with the upbeat but down-to-earth attitude, its like seeing a saint ascend a ring higher to nirvana.
This brightens my day dude I live in Denton and your skating the park right next to the water park I’ve always wanted to go but people said it was trash thanks for this def gonna skate it now much love
I just drove to Texas from California I will be in Dallas on Wednesday and I might be able to meet you. Your a great skater and you tuber keep up the great work 👍
Love the change in style for this video. It’s nice for someone to challenge u and take u out of ur comfort zone. U did awesome on landing those tricks but we still need a trick 10 to complete the challenge.
I'd suggest ear plugs but then again, sound plays an important role for me when I'm focusing. if I don't hear the sound of my bearings, or the pop of my tail it throws me off. I will cruise listening to music but I'm weird about noise. You should check out the Ward 3 Skatepark in Lake Charles, Louisiana. There about 2 skateparks equal distance from me. Ward 3 in lake charles and the one up in shreveport. I prefer lake charles since there is transition to skate. Shreveport is more of a street style park. The bowl is small but kinda deep and fun at ward 3.
Bro, it’s so encouraging to see you go through the things you do to land a trick and to not give up even with distractions. Thank you for uploading these vids.
Thoroughly impressed... It's unbelievable that you are able to learn a handful of new tricks in a single afternoon. Your drive, passion, and talent is admirable.
I dont think ive seen anyone get distracted by music when skating, every park i go to in socal has super loud music playing, all the indoor park have music playing for you, this is a new one for me and i would have never assumed music would bug someone when skating.
for some reason the tricks with the light piano jazz like makes me think of scenes from the peanuts. Your man jason is a savage making you do those haha
Awesome progression video! I think you can do the judo rock more easily/cleaner if you don't grab so early and treat it a little like the one-foot rock. Jason doesn't grab hit nose until right when his front wheels hit/go over the coping.
Sup man, its the guy that talked to you for a minute at the end of your session in the purple shirt. (not the one playing music lol). It was awesome to see you shred my local!
If you really want to get good at transition, skating a bowl super fast and just carving helps a ton, and so does finding a good quarter pipe and launching airs off of the corner of it, landing on the ground to the side of the ramp. Also, doing fs and bs airs a lot really helps.
I love watching videos of you learning tricks I’m a new skater/youtuber and nice to see people with extreme amount more of skill still learning new tricks! Keep it up your a inspiration!
I love the fact that this vid is relatable. He does tricks he wouldn’t normally do and kinda sucks at but he pushes through and does them like anyone else has to do
Man you inspired me to get back into skating, I stopped skating for yearssss and funny enough it's the video where you skate at MY LOCAL here in Denton.
You’re such an inspiration John! You’re the reason I try to live with the motto Level Up Daily (clearly inspired from Progress Daily). Keep up the great work and positivity.
Landed the blunt kickflip fakie with sabbath in the background! 🤘🏻 I feel horrible now because my friends and I have shown up to the park with a speaker before.
I saw u do an early grab towards the beginning of this video what is ur opinion on them. Personally they are one of my favorite tricks to do. I do them everywhere.
Hell of a lot better than the skatepark we had in my home town growing up. Two terrible metal ramp, a rail and 2 boxes.... they have a decent one now but I haven't skated in 15 years.
I live right by that park but never been. Have been filming at the Roanoke skatepark for my channel. Just landed my first ever kick flip yesterday! I’m a heel flipper so was pretty hyped!
hey i love your content and drive for skateboarding and was wondering how to get more consistent with flat ground because i skate trans mainly but want to do more street skating
That was incredibly fun to watch you try my weirdo tricks, and you did it! Thank you for hitting me up and taking on my little challenge, you’re the best ❤️
john i didnt know you came to my city thats awesome
I thought you lived in Arizona because of the happy medium crew
@Jason Park - At least you can admit they're weirdo tricks.
I love this
Skate power
This is a million times better than my local. Y’all are crazy if u call this bad😂
I feel like it’s because it Texas and everything is huge in Texas so i dont know
same times a million back in south carolina, i mean honestly it's better than most new york parks too, haha
lmao yeah my local doesn’t even have a real ledge. The only thing we got close to one is this 6 stair that’s made out of that recycled plastic stuff and it’s only about 5 feet long.
Alll i have is a wooden manual pad at a basket ball court i wouldnt
My local skate park the ground is like a street cracks everywhere pebbles all over and nothing but ramps not a single Manuel pad nothing
I landed my first rolling heel flip yesterday!
Bro that’s awesome I’m starting on kick flips
good job
BRO THATS SO SICK KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK
Nice job!!!!
nice
Jeez, some people don't know how good they have it. Would have killed for a park like this near me when I first started skating
I’d still kill for it lol
A skatepark near you at all is a blessing to any skater I have to either walk two hours or ride a bus for 3 hours just to get to any skatepark down here in Florida. Just something as simple as a piece of smooth flat ground being very close to me would make my life so much easier.
Jacksonville Florida*
Yea my park is way worst than that
Local Denton people love that park for what it is and don't complain about it, dude doesn't know what he's talking about. We're all just thankful to have it in the first place and the obstacles are super unique in their own way.
When the "warmup" has more tricks than you can do.
Well it because he is better.. but once you progress more your warmups are going to be even better than nyjah taking 1st on street league
Ye
1:21 it looks like they edited out him eating it lol
I thought the exact same thing
Slow it down he did
he always looks like he's gonna eat it then he lands somehow like a guardian angel saved him. ITS WHAT HE'S KNOWN FOR LOL...
That skatepark is the coolest park I seen in my town
yeah, same
yeah, same
I had way better street than Lewisville
@@yoyoba5705 you take that back 👊 lol
meatball yeah,same
I’m glad I don’t get distracted that easily, because I like it when people play music at the park
I've literally never heard of people getting 'distracted' by other boarders at a public park. It's actually baffling
@@shmooveyea To be fair, he was learning new tricks. Of course people learn new tricks all the time in busy public parks, but John probably got into his own head about it.
I love the smooth jazz over the warmup skating, it's so relaxing
I love the music choices. Jazz goes so well with ur skating
EVERY PARK, that's amazing (:
John Hill Absolutely 💯 thanks for inspiring me to keep making videos!🙏🏻
Seriously one of your best videos in a long time. I've loved watching Jason Park the last several weeks so thanks collaborating with him and giving him a shoutout! Keep working on the transition. It's great to see you genuinely struggle and learn new things. Great job pushing through!
dude was playing children of the grave, he knows whats up
The music is trash
and some sublime he does know what's up
Just wanted to say.. Thanks man. I travel a lot for my job and am a bit hefty on weight, but despite all that your videos pumped me up to keep skating even in hard times. Thank you so much. I hope Texas treated you well. Much love stay safe.
Can’t wait for the new summer line!
Aw man thank you (:(:
@Matteo Montiel same
I love your videos. I just got into skating and am really likening it. In your videos you include some of your fails and falls and it helps me see that even pros like you fall and cant land everything. This makes me feel like I’ll get ther eventually
OMG he hearted it :)
I wish I could go to the local skatepark but covid-19 disagrees
Fuck it go anyways
@@ethancooper1560 nah, stay home
Ethan Cooper every skatepark in my city kicks you out in minute I have to travel to Toronto to skate
Ian naw go anyways
Ye I kinda want to stay alive I think I’ll stay home 😂

Thank God, I thought you weren't going to upload.
i'm trying my best, haha
It's fun seeing John try new tricks, with his skating already being so clean and consistent with the upbeat but down-to-earth attitude, its like seeing a saint ascend a ring higher to nirvana.
My favorite thing about this video is how clearly he is out of his comfort zone and pushing his limits, but in baby steps.
This brightens my day dude I live in Denton and your skating the park right next to the water park I’ve always wanted to go but people said it was trash thanks for this def gonna skate it now much love
I dropped in for the first time yesterday, it’s actually easy like wtf
Yep, now keep doing it and learning new tricks.
TigerTube I’ve been getting ollies on lock recently
Yesss let’s goooooo!
I know right I was terrified but I did it first try
I was terrified and I fell like 6 times lol, gonna try again today
Thanks for coming and doing so many videos here! I hope Texas was kind to you.
I just drove to Texas from California I will be in Dallas on Wednesday and I might be able to meet you.
Your a great skater and you tuber keep up the great work 👍
He's already bailed back to NYC! :(
The Roller skaters in the background of this video are amazing and I love it!
Love the change in style for this video. It’s nice for someone to challenge u and take u out of ur comfort zone. U did awesome on landing those tricks but we still need a trick 10 to complete the challenge.
the montage that starts around 2:00 makes you so calm but the whole video is chill and amazing

ah of course! haha it's a good lesson for life as well
2 asain beauties in 1 video i love to see it! Havent been this happy since 905 was still in nelk 😞
haha yes I wish we could actually hang with each other in person
The granny shredding w dem rollerblades made this 100 times better :Dd
I love how I come for what the name of the video is, then you talk about it for 1 minute and then start talking about something else 😂
Thoroughly impressed... It's unbelievable that you are able to learn a handful of new tricks in a single afternoon. Your drive, passion, and talent is admirable.
i havent watched your vids in like a month and just got recommended again and i swear youre like 6 shades darker since youve been in texas lol
nah i'm still pretty light skinned
I dont think ive seen anyone get distracted by music when skating, every park i go to in socal has super loud music playing, all the indoor park have music playing for you, this is a new one for me and i would have never assumed music would bug someone when skating.
Probably got one bad review, locals building a spot doesn’t mean they don’t like this park. It looks perfect.
Watching the clouds move while you were trying to do trick #3 was mindblowing 🤯
Yesss John love your vids your my inspiration to skateboarding
I love the introduction music in the very beginning
6:07 clouds
for some reason the tricks with the light piano jazz like makes me think of scenes from the peanuts. Your man jason is a savage making you do those haha
Imagine being there and having totaly no idea what he is doing lmao
I knew when you got Jason Park involved the tricks were about to get weird! Love it
Omg I live over there I skate there two
it's super fun
John Hill yeah I did my first kick flip over there
AlexTheGreat YT me too hmu we can skate
Awesome progression video! I think you can do the judo rock more easily/cleaner if you don't grab so early and treat it a little like the one-foot rock. Jason doesn't grab hit nose until right when his front wheels hit/go over the coping.
Spoiled kids. Wish we would have had something like that when we were kids.
ryder271 so true
A bit late reply but, isn't that the whole point? So that newer generations can have more? I think it's a bit more positive than just being "spoiled"
That smooth jazz warm up almost made me go full on X-mas mood again for some reason.
yesssir i'm, early! its gonna be a great video
love the music you play for your videos. you kill it on the maple keep it up dude!
this whole video is off topic of wtf the title is, ion get it
Sup man, its the guy that talked to you for a minute at the end of your session in the purple shirt. (not the one playing music lol). It was awesome to see you shred my local!
10:55 does this man have runners knee?
Dude I love seeing your videos on new and different skate parks. Denton is cool and Jason Lee actually lives there.
I know John Hill is Korean but is he anything else. He's just really tan
lots of darker koreans man
Dang I can't believe you were in Texas my dude! Hope you had fun here!
lol every indoor park has loud music playing stop being dramatic

First one
bro!!!!!!! You landed the blunt kicky. LOVED this video
youre so underrated. youre really good bro fr i been watchin you a while
That feeling when you check a random video and a wild Jason shows up
I love the fact that this vid is relatable. He does tricks he wouldn’t normally do and kinda sucks at but he pushes through and does them like anyone else has to do

heck yeah that's amazing, by the time you're 80 you'll be at like, level 22,630!
Lmao johns reaction to the roller bladed in the back💀😂😂😂
Crazy seeing my local skatepark on your channel
John Hill killing it! This made my day. Thank you for all you do for Skateboarding. 👏
"I'm impeding on the session that is already happening," looked like there's only 1 other person there and it's an old dude on rollerskates hahaa
John Hill must be an only child, can't handle sharing.
Crazy tricks, good job dude !
Ps:
2020 tho.. there's this thing called headphones LOL :P
Omg im from denton texas hos is so cool to see you somewhere ive actually skated!°
That manny pad with the stairs next to it looks like the most fun obstacle ever
I’m working on my pop shuvits, any advice, struggling on keeping my board controlled and getting my back foot on
Landed the blunt kickflip fakie with sabbath in the background! 🤘🏻 I feel horrible now because my friends and I have shown up to the park with a speaker before.
hinestly John is my fav. He’s always getting better and he’s humble and he always wants to learn new things
I just rode my bike there and I loved that box jump and spine
Edit: that small ledge is slick as heck and I love that thing too
You say you've never done the trick, yet you make it look so easy
Steezy flip landing with children of the grave on the background just reminds me of Fred Gall on Timecode
I heard transitions and immediately thought of Jason Park, great video and definitely not a bad park
Every time John uploads, I watch. Thank u 🙏🏽
i love the mini ramps at that park! not the craziest park but it’s pretty fun
This is my local!!! There's no way you were here I barely missed you
Hey I need a new skateboard any recommendations on where I should get it? Online or a store
"...except living in Hawaii..." 🤣😂
Loved the commitment to the challenge
great vid
I love watching John skate the way he skates is so inspiring every trick he lands is so smooth!👍
Amazing progression John I want to be better at transition too Keep it up !
I saw u do an early grab towards the beginning of this video what is ur opinion on them. Personally they are one of my favorite tricks to do. I do them everywhere.
The front blunt to switch crooks was so nice
Hell of a lot better than the skatepark we had in my home town growing up. Two terrible metal ramp, a rail and 2 boxes.... they have a decent one now but I haven't skated in 15 years.
Love your videos man! Super smooth and fuego

You need to come by the Gainesville Texas skatepark one day🙏🏽 close to Denton
Haha at 10 minutes the music sounds like jerry from Rick and morty
“Human music, I like it” 😂
I've learned rolling treaflipsss.. and switch frontside flips in the last 2 days. So pumped
I was just mesmerised by the clouds in the time lapse
hey i love your content and drive for skateboarding and was wondering how to get more consistent with flat ground because i skate trans mainly but want to do more street skating
