This is one of the best live shows ive seen in awhile people stage divin no phones people thrashin power trips so rad they deserve that sooo old school
20:15 The Hammer of Doubt is unbelievable. The connection between the band and the crowd is fucking insane. Crowd goes buckwild at 24:00 when the drums kick in for that last riff. Insane.
Rest in peace Riley Gale, thank you to the individual that upload the show I was at this gig this is where I met Riley and the rest of the band and it was my first Power Trip show it's a shame he's gone so rest in peace
Great set from a great band. And, Blake, nice Voivod shirt. Soul Sacrifice Executioner's Tax (Swing of the Axe) Suffer No Fool Heretic's Fork Nightmare Logic Hammer of Doubt Ruination Firing Squad Manifest Decimation Crossbreaker
Warms my heart seeing these guys. Defintely one of the best new thrash bands who really hold true to the golden days. It's old Sepultura and Kreator had a kid with some flair. Damn, I love metal \m/
I dont get it, great old school thrash riffs, band members in Voivod and Dokken Tshirts headbanging with long hair? This video was recorded in 1987 for sure, but then a bunch of young millennials appear making a mosh pit and stage diving???, WTF???
Sorry/not sorry for my out of tune wailing over your “Manifest Decimation” scream. You guys owned NYC that night. POWER TRIP FOREVER. LUV U RILEY GALE.
It's interesting that you mention that. Riley actually mentioned that they have an internal rule about no double bass for the drums because they want to keep a more rock n' roll, punk sound, which I think adds to the urgency and violence of the music. I was also thinking that part of the reason the palm-muted riffs sound so tight is because they're not competing with a matching double bass sound from the drums. It totally highlights and focuses the guitars. Anyway, interesting comment. Speculating about alternate drummers is like the ultimate metal passtime. Lombardo for Metallica, anyone?
Al Knine I’ll be seeing them with Corpse December 3rd. It’ll be my second time seeing Power Trip. I saw them in the Battle of the Bays tour with Obituary and Exodus. They were absolutely phenomenal. I can’t wait! \m/
Al Knine Killer show! I love both. I got picks from all bands and Power Trip’s setlist. However the most meaningful was Gary Holt’s pick. He’s a legend. He handed it to me and shook my hand. Extraordinary moment for me. Exodus only played old school stuff. One of the greatest shows ever. \m/ everything was muffled for about two days after the show XD Extremely worth it.
Is this where the music video for Swing of The Axe was filmed? This video came out before the official music video and everyone is wearing the same shirts, and it has the same lighting.
The video for Executioner's Tax was filmed at Andy's Bar and Grill in Denton, Texas. The video shoot also served as a planned parenthood benefit. Good music for a good cause!!!
My favourite recently discovered band, the latest album is 10/10. Fuck yeah, you ever come to England i will be there at the front man. EDIT...i have just realised you guys are supporting Trivium and i already have tickets for that show..........................FUCKIN YES.....FUCK FUCK YES YES, SEE YA THERE MOTHERFUCKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
This might be the best new band I’ve heard in a good 10/15 years.

These dudes have been a favourite for a while. But, these always amaze me how good they are. They're on point.
I was at this show. Power Trip KILLED IT! Seriously awesome, looking forward to seeing them again.
my favorite band. have seen them 3 times with a 4th on the way. they absolutely crush every time.
Is there a lot of hardcore dancing at their shows? or just circle pits and stage diving?
mostly the latter.
awesome.
Warms my heart seeing these guys. Defintely one of the best new thrash bands who really hold true to the golden days. It's old Sepultura and Kreator had a kid with some flair. Damn, I love metal \m/
FOOKIN GREAT! chris drumming is so intense with just 1 pedal for sure. Love you guys!!!!!
Bounded for glory. GREAT band!!!!
This set is almost as good as Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
These guys are insanely amazing! Can't wait to see them come up from the ranks and get the recognition they deserve!
Goddamn that was a fun show. I hope they keep playing occasional shows in smaller venues.
Please change settings so I can watch this on my TV! :)
Rest In Peace, Riley. You will be missed.
God damn Manifest Decimation sounds so good in this video
DUN! DUN-DUN, DUN-DUN, DUN-DUN, DUN-DUN-DUN....... x4
Their new album is so awesome! I love the riff on "if not us then who"
I wanna see it played live but they never do it lol.
Power trip, chimara and evile would be a show worth bleeding for. And his voice was done at the end. Reminds me of some of the '70's punk bands
power trip- the new legends of tomorrow
RIP Riley Gale

POWER TRIP FOREVER. LUV U RILEY GALE.
I hope this is the same set
For the tour. Hammer
Of doubt is a killer
Such badass riffage to open a set. Headbangers for sure.
This looks like a real fun show. They play tomorrow night in NYC fyi
No karate in the pit!
If this band had a hard hitting, tight, powerful metal drummer, they would be crushing. SO many gaps he could fill with sic af metal drumming!

I love this dude's drumming because it's unlike most modern metal which has triggered to hell nonstop double kicks. It gets kind of exhausting.
I am seriously feeling hyped going to see those guys at heavy mtl!!
Dude what camera are you using? Video AND audio quality is insane
I love the disco balls..
I love his fucking screams at the beginning
Tbey remind me of Pantera and i love that🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘
Fuck, I am going to watch them open for Cannibal Corpse in December. Can’t fucking wait!!!
Al Knine I’ll be seeing them with Corpse December 3rd. It’ll be my second time seeing Power Trip. I saw them in the Battle of the Bays tour with Obituary and Exodus. They were absolutely phenomenal. I can’t wait! \m/
Jake Jargstorf man you got to watch exodus and obituary? That’s my early teens man. Never seen either.

Saw them last week with Cannibal Corpse and Gatecreeper... the show was super intense... you'll enjoy it to the fullest!

Costantino Andruzzi Rad!*
Well, I'd say they were good, not great. But Lynch is an excellent guitar player, you're spot on. Check out KXM if you haven't already.
