- When Revolver favorites Power Trip descended on Brooklyn, New York's Elsewhere on November 21st, our film crew was there to capture all the action. The Texas-based thrashers tore through a kinetic, near-hour-long set featuring such modern mosh-pit classics as "Executioner's Tax (Swing of the Axe), "If Not Us Then Who" and "Firing Squad." I only got into Power Trip earlier this year. They became one of my favorite morning jams. Since his passing I dove deep into whatever I could find and listened to every song they ever put out. I have listened to Power Trip every single fucking day for the last 2 months. Nightmare Logic is literally a perfect fucking album and I hope the rest of this band continues to make music. Rest in Power....

If you just mean from a thrash band, I’d say yes, 100 percent the tightest thrash band since Slayer. If Metal in general, you can’t forget Pantera. They were absolute monsters live.

Had the pleasure of seeing Power Trip for the first time when they opened for Anthrax and Lamb of God in 2016, and again at this show. Simply an amazing band. Rest in peace Riley, you are gone too soon.
I'm 53 and I just discovered this band last night watching Code Orange on You tube (who are good also) and this popped up. Holy S@#t these guys are awesome! Executioners Tax is my new favorite song Reminds me of great old school thrashing good times in the late 80's.

Caught power trip on the High On Fire tour last December. Power trips set was one of the best I’ve ever seen and im usually a doom/stoner dude. Their live energy is unmatched.
I'm not usually a doom guy, but have a sweet spot for high on fire, I was def more hyped for power trip at that show.

Love these guys. Really sucks Riley passed away. Hope they carry on in his honor. These guys are old school thrash metal. Straight to the point brutal, badass transitions and tempo changes in almost every song, and overall badassery! 🤘🤘

Ever since this was aired and I watched it for the first time in chemistry it has been my go to jam session that I absolutely love playing along to (minus hammer of doubt, and conditioned to death those I do not know how to play) and I just wanna say how happy it has made me. Thank you riley for everything I will always come back and watch this set because it is absolutely perfect and I can't get enough it RILEY FOREVER

I remember seeing these guys for the first time back in 2015. They opened for obituary and exodus. I saw em 2 or three other times and they kicked major assssssss every time!!!! I miss them a lot. One of the best modern metal bands for sure!

A friend suggested that I check out Power Trip when I was at Full Force in Germany last year. Of all the new bands I discovered there, they stood out to me the most. I was just blown away. Was hoping to see them again live. But sadly... it was not to be. RIP Riley. 😢
