Vermeer, Bandit Beast, Diamond Z, Morbark, Peterson, CBI, Tigercat, Precision Husky, Universal Refiner, John Deere, CAT, Bobcat, Mack, Peterbilt, Edge, Color Biotics, McCloskey. Bandit whole tree chipper, wood chipper machine, doppstadt, Edge Innovate, Barford, analytics, shredder.
This is all getting chipped through a 2" screen. If there was a larger screen inside, I'm not sure it would even need to back off at any point.
Yes it would as the stop start is governed by the timber diameter and the timbers hardness, it really has nothing to do with the screen size, if you were doing regrind you might use smaller than 2”.
A lot of the time they would use say a 3” or 4” screen and smash thru it then do a regrind depending on customer requirements.
Here in Australia for large clearing of areas they would probably go 3-4”.
If the screen chokes up then the excess gets pushed back under the feed roller. That’s why you often see a pile of grindings at the rear under the feedtable.
If you look closely you can see chip coming back on the feed roller so they are definitely using a small screen and trying to do it in one pass.
Trop top
How much fuel does it consume in an hour?
It fluctuates but if it's eating a monster log it spikes to 52 gallons per hour but drops to high 30's - mid 40's under normal load
@@grindersandheavyiron1741 Thanks. Figured it would be around 30 gallons or so.
Fuel bill is a killer.
@@BobSmith-mc7uq Amen, fuel is brutal at the moment. This machine is relatively fuel efficient for the hp and output but hurts when the fuel truck comes none the less ;)
@@grindersandheavyiron1741 I hear ya. Was watching a video on a Monster tow boat that works the Mississippi, they had a fuel boat come out & fuel them up with 20,000 gallons of #2.
Had to be at least a Million dollar bill plus!!
Have a Merry Christmas! 😀
@@BobSmith-mc7uq I think I would cry haha
