Very interesting video man! As a victor of Sonic Wave, for me the hardest part was the first wave and DEFINETLY the infamous 49% click and release after the headbutting part. That gap is so much tighter and more precise than all the others and lead to a lot of deaths, especially with nerves after passing the spam section. The saw blade part you mentioned twords the end of the level was actually one of the easier parts since it just became muscle memory. In terms of Crimson Clutter, I personally think the only reason it's so hard is because of the mirror portal. yes that is the second hardest part for me, the hardest being the ball!! i can't for the life of me pass it and i would just be playing from the start for hours and only make it to the wave 1-2 times an hour. for me the ball is similar in difficulty to passing the last 2 waves in one go. i have like 30k attempts but i constantly quit and pick the level up so infrequently that i never get any traction and end up quitting it again because i just hate playing the pre-drop. i honestly find the wave fun too which really sucks. i've done 29-100 multiple times and my best is like 54%.

When it comes to Jawbreaker, I think it's wave is harder than Nine Circles. It's longer, often tighter, has higher cps, and gravity switching. That being said, I still think Nine Circles is harder overall as a level, even if only slightly. The timings outside of the wave are harder in Nine Circles than in Jawbreaker. Jawbreakers wave may be harder, but you also get to it more frequently.
I dont agree. I find jawbreakers wave to be much easier. When I beat jawbreaker as my new hardest I tried nince circles and gave up on it because of how hard the wave was for me. And this was all on 60fps. I beat nine circles as my new hardest on 240fps and it still took longer than jawbreaker.
@@bloodreptil Everyone has different skills. I only got to Nine Circles wave 30ish times before I beat the level. I got to Jawbreakers wave hundreds of times. I was just speaking from my personal experience.

Small thing - Sunix verified SonicBath as the hardest verified level back in May 2017 that would overtake Sonic Wave as the top 1 before being dethroned by Hyper Paracosm (though if you don't want to count that you can go Sonic Wave -> InvisiWave -> possibly Sonic Wave Mefewe version that Sunix had verified). You could also count Demotivation Dance as a top 1, as it was verified after Sakupen Circles and both Cursed and Trick (who are the only victors of it) both agree it's harder. It would be dethroned by Aquamarine most likely. Still, very fun watch!
I personally think that nine circles is easier than jawbreaker. In jawbreaker theres genuinely really disorienting bugs that may just outright kill you. This is just me, might be my crazy nine circles bias, but i genuinely dislike jawbreaker. Might seem a bit harsh but i was genuinely so happy to get it done with
I also count Tidal Wave in my head as a nc level, even if the creator and people say that it isn't, is just a matter of having eyes and seeing that it is a wave focused level woth a predrop and the nine circles nowadays neither have epileptic effects
i beat jawbreaker as my first hard demon and nine circles as my 3rd and i found that jawbreaker had harder to learn but overall easier gameplay in the wave than nc, and combined with the free predrop and lack of gameplay after the wave jawbreaker is definitely easier than nc imo
I don’t agree about your statement on nine circles being an amazing entry to hard demon difficulty. It’s unbalanced as shit, and the wave gets VERY annoying very quickly. It is extremely boring to do runs from the wave to 100, but if you just dont do them then the wave will be even more incosistent. Now, I never beat this as a new hardest, as I had already completed an insane demon before I beat nine circles, but even then this level was pure disease for me. What I recommend people to do is to go to the Geometry Dash Demon Ladder, filter tier 11 levels (those are entry hard demons) and search a level you like. Nine circles is definitely not worth it in my opinion.
I mean there's SonicBath by lSunix (it was actually a top 1 if it was good enough to be rated) It's Sonic Wave but after Sonic wave is Crack's part in bloodbath and ends at AsonicMen's part. The most interesting part is that the sonic wave parts are redish instead of blue.
In my opinion Tidal Wave is a Nine Circles level, just slightly more visible. "Dual theme" or whatever OniLink said is just an excuse to not classify it as Top 1 NC Slop.
I beat nine circles, fairydust and jawbreaker in that order back in early 2.0 i think. Nine circles at the time was a hardest for me taking me around 3.3k attempts. A month after i beat that i started fairydust as a new hardest again and that ended up taking me almost 7k attempts. Right after beating fairydust i beat jawbreaker the next day in around 700 attempts. This is all to say that i found jawbreaker far easier than the other two which might be because i had gotten alot better at wave. But also i don’t really think that was the case since both the other levels still felt really difficult. For me i find jawbreaker to be around easy-ish medium demon. Edit: Also really cool i learnt something new. I never knew of the two levels you mentioned before nc itself. Really cool stuff and good video.
I find jawbreaker significantly easier than nine circles because the flow feels better and the non wave parts are easier than nc. I’ve been close to beating jawbreaker on 1.5x speed and I also beat it on my neighbours very cracked iPad
This is very subjective and you do seem to actually have done a lot of research, but it shocked me how your description of Sonic Wave was literally the opposite of my experience. Sonic Wave is one of the most first half heavy levels I’ve beaten. The saws that you talked about in the second wave got VERY consistent for me, so there’s no way that would be the hardest part in my opinion. Even if we consider that not getting consistent, everyone I have talked to including me has claimed that 49% (or 48% now in 2.2) is the hardest part, and I don’t even think it’s close. The whole level for me was just a ”passing the first wave simulator”. I only passed the click at 49% 18 times and still considered myself VERY ”unlucky” with the level, because I died so much to the second half. The predrop IS very boring, but I didn’t find it that hard honestly. The first wave was the hardest part, followed by the second wave and the predrop. Of course I understand that different people have different opinions, but I still wanted to give my take on it :)
Ive heard that tidal wave can be considered a circles level, and when you think about it I guess it could be, i consider it a Circles level, but I don't think it matters too much tbh
While the 70% saw gaps are hard, they don't carry the level and get consistent. I am pretty sure the hardest part of the level is the 40-50 section with the consistency spam and the frame perfect wave click. I have beaten the level myself and never really had an issue with 70.
Honestly, I know it's an off-topic rambling, Hyper Paracosm is actually more fair on the gameplay department (except the first cube) than Hyper Paradox
Currently jumping to Poltergeist from Deadlocked, so far it feels a LOT easier than Nine Circles - idk if that's just my weird ass skillset but I played Poltergeist for like 3 hours total and nearly have the level in 3 runs whereas I've put over a thousand attempts playing NC from the drop and can't even get halfway through the wave. Also I can tell the balancing is really bad lol, the first wave is literally harder than the rest of the level combined. I'm probably just weird though. Edit: forgot to mention that 1. I play on 60fps and 2. I play a lot of wave challenges
honestly I feel like old down bass is mid-easy insane demon difficulty and the version on the servers is harder than bloodbath. The first dual in down bass is ridiculous with the spike gaps at 3x speed compared some parts of the level.
Also how did people not know hyper paracosm was harder, HP is like probably 175 difficulty on the demonlist and sonic wave is like 350 as far as Im aware.

is aquatic auroras even harder than arctic lights because yes, it used to have a higher placement than arctic lights but now it doesn't anymore so was it even a top 1??
Saying that astronaut 13 is an "incredibly difficult" level is bit of an overstatement. I don't want to be one to downplay achievements, but it's not that bad. Also fairydust and astronaut 13 both are hard demons, not insane. They are not difficult enough to be insane demons.

I was just speaking from my personal experience.
nine circles took me 6500 attempts and was my first hard demon (tbf a few of these attempts were from i was really bad at the game) and i did jawbreaker shortly after which only took me 1000. i found jawbreaker significantly easier. especially the wave.
@@_dashyy Jawbreaker took me 6 years and 3000 attempts. I did Nine Circles shortly after in 2 weeks and 1700 attempts. Everyone has their own skill issues. Jawbreaker just had all of mine at the time.
NothingIsScary, I've been watching you since before you hit 1k subscribers. Luv ur content and I wish you keep uploading. Epic Video, Epic Creator!
Sonic wave is actually a remake of poltergeist
Wait really?
I have heard that before
This video inspired me to try astronaut 13 and I can now say that is like my second favorite level I have ever beaten, hell yes :D
Also kind of surprised you found the duel so hard, I found it extremely easy and consistent.
Still, very fun watch!
great video I really enjoyed watching it
calling crimson clutter close to an extreme in difficulty and down bass harder than bloodbath is kinda crazy ngl
you forgot Classic and Silhouette (before poltergeist and after astronaut 13)
Those aren’t harder than astronaut 13
@@NothingIsScary how, classic is an insane astro is hard, and silhouette also used to be insane
@@NothingIsScary also just checked the gd demon ladder classic is above astonaut but yeah not silhouette
Ah, I remember the good ol' days when Arctic Lights was in the top 20. Good times...
The hallucination deserved better
The 8 bit remix of sonic blaster really reminds me of AVGN for some reason. Like I can just image him raging will it plays lmao
I mean there's SonicBath by lSunix (it was actually a top 1 if it was good enough to be rated)
It's Sonic Wave but after Sonic wave is Crack's part in bloodbath and ends at AsonicMen's part.
The most interesting part is that the sonic wave parts are redish instead of blue.
imo the poltergeist saws aren't that bad, they got very consistent and i died there maybe 30-50 times from the ~900 attempts i took to beat it
The hallucination had to be atleast mentioned
8:55 fairy dust feels like its the hardest for me
Aquamirine would probably be top 5 if it got rated
In my opinion Tidal Wave is a Nine Circles level, just slightly more visible. "Dual theme" or whatever OniLink said is just an excuse to not classify it as Top 1 NC Slop.
im a little sad that The Hallucination lost its chance to be a top 1 circles level
As a spam player that first level gave me intense flashbacks
found this account just now, bro you have my same exact ship, cube AND the colours😭
REAL!
seing Astronaut 13 higher than Fairydust was a surprise for me, specially considering that Astronaut 13 was my first ever hard demon
I have beaten the level myself and never really had an issue with 70.
the verifier of aquamarine said its like top 5 however i believe it could be on a par with tidal wave
GDDP used to list is as azurite, the only beaten azurite level is tidal wave, but when aquamarine was verified it was taken off azurite
Honestly, I know it's an off-topic rambling, Hyper Paracosm is actually more fair on the gameplay department (except the first cube) than Hyper Paradox
Actually, Sakupen Circles is still harder than Exens Limit, according to Cursed and Ppppixel
I think it’s funny how arctic lights was dethroned by it’s sequel
I thought the hallucination was verified before sakupen circles? It’s higher than SWI on pointercrate at the moment
Nope
Very good video!!!
great video!
Excellent !
11:01 nah bro that dual ez the mini cube after is harder imo (i havent even beaten a hard demon but i practices that level a LOT)
31:49 STRAIGHT PRIDE SPOTTED
I'm trying to do down bass in one day
Very soon
Nine Circles is like Retray once you beat it and 1st time it´s like a 7-9 star. Poltergeist is easy and my favourite Nine Circles level.
18:55 im friends with "the real sneaky" he haciked a lot of stuff back then, also the buffdate for down bass 7, thats why it got reverted lol. goes my itzmika or sum now
I wouldn't say SWI has bad deco but it's just pretty overdecorated and kinda unoptimized
is aquatic auroras even harder than arctic lights because yes, it used to have a higher placement than arctic lights but now it doesn't anymore so was it even a top 1??
The list is not official and does not have the final say in difficulty
Saying that astronaut 13 is an "incredibly difficult" level is bit of an overstatement. I don't want to be one to downplay achievements, but it's not that bad.
Also fairydust and astronaut 13 both are hard demons, not insane. They are not difficult enough to be insane demons.
Fairydust is harder than windy landscape, fight me.
