I’m a 35 yo male who stumbled across “put it down” and “ bodies” on accident and instantly fell in love. Even though the content isn’t anything that I’ve done or can relate to I can’t help but to have it on repeat because she straight up bodied these songs with her range and voice. Love your excitement about Jazmine. She’s been one of my favorite artists since her first album. I’ve had this new album on repeat since it released. And I have watched this Tiny Desk concert too many times to count. Her low register, range, and seamless transitions are special. Her dedication to her craft along with her God given talent is almost indescribable!

I loved that she's explored other parts of her voice across full verses. Usually she would use for a trill or exclamation, but never sings a full verse in a lower key or in her head voice. I am so happy to hear her new project! Thank you for appreciating her gift!

The way she attacks a song with the ""mumble rap" cadence, which makes it very contemporary yet more melodic and very much R&B (Oh and he's enunciating unlike some!)
