Over 900 shows as Eponine!? Holy shit, my brain just exploded. I can't even hear the same song more than ten times most days. Mind has been blown. Go Carrie!
I would love to hear Carrie do a video all about her recommendations of underrated musicals or soundtracks and also perhaps musicals she is not too fond of.
I met you at stage door yesterday at Les Miserables, and you were so lovely towards me, you took time to talk to me and it meant the absolute world, you were so down to earth and kind and it made my night, it was also an amazing performance from you and all the rest of the cast, so I just wanted to say thank you❤️ (you probably won’t remember me, but I was the blonde in the leather jacket and dress right at stage door)💛💛
Carrie: "got into the theatre early, gonna record a video" *records video* Carrie: "ok so I still have an hour" And here's me thinking that 30 minutes early is too early
Carrie is almost always super early according to her video's over the years. Which is something I personally still have to learn as someone who is almost always either nearly too late or too late...
Flower Ghost I remember her saying she always ends up being extra early everywhere, (15 minutes early is on time) and that's something I aspire to, but like you have not yet mastered!
In this case her room is super convenient as it is in the centre of London, so showing up early does not mean she has to sit and wait, she can make food, tea and work. I doubt she’s show up this early for a dentist appointment! But she seems like someone who shows up early anyway.
I've known most of the roles you've played but DAMN you have an acting range and I also STRONGLY believe in plus sized actors playing roles that aren't written to be such because there needs to be more representation
Johnny Shirer why does everyone focus on females body size? She was right for the role because she’s talented and an amazing singer. Body shape should NEVER be a reason not to cast someone be unless the character is specifically like anorexic (for example) or something specific that is featured in the story. Pisses me off no end that how but a person is how women can be measured. I’ve turned down for roles because of my body size and that was amdram.
Ailsa Paton i don’t think that that’s what he was saying. as a girl who is plus sized, and has been turned down for roles due to my size. it is refreshing and such a confidence booster seeing someone with a similar body shape to me being on stage. he was not diminishing her talent just to talk ab her size, just saying it was nice to see west end/broadway become more welcoming to those of all body types.
“Roll I wish more people saw? Cinderella.” Did you know at this point that you were gonna be playing her when the show opens? Just curious. Or is it crazy to think that you said that and now it’s come true because more people will get to see it?
It was so great to hear you talk about so many of the workshops you’ve done! I think people forget that there’s other theatre jobs than just starring in the West End, and maybe think other jobs aren’t as ‘worthwhile’, especially as workshops are usually very private affairs and you can’t really say much about them. So it’s so lovely to hear about the amazing times you had with them!
Carrie, hearing you say that you started Les Mis at 20 is bonkers to me because I just turned 20 last week, and hearing you talk about how formative those years were and how much those years/that role changed you made me feel very optimistic because I'm facing those years now! And obviously, I won't be performing on the West End or anything, but I nonetheless feel like the next four years are going to present an experience like that for me, and I can't wait! Thanks for sharing and for making me excited for my young adulthood and the opportunities it will present me, even though you didn't realize you were doing it lol.
A choir at my high school performed Sleep while I was there and it was just… mind blowing. If you say the name Eric Whitacre in a choir room it’s like invoking the name of god we all just lose our minds
My phone just went "ping", and I immediately jumped out of bead, ditched my book and skedaddled to my phone, and here I am now watching this video, nothing makes me happier!
U did heathers proud carrie. Thats the only show iv ever seen that made me cry and laugh all in one. And part of it was because of you. It broke my heart and made me scream with happiness. Xxxxx
I've been lucky enough to meet Carrie three times now (twice at Heathers and once at Les mis concert stage door) and she even let me feature in one of her vlogs. Both times she has given me so much attention and respect and has been the loveliest lady ever, it breaks me to see how much hate and unneeded negativity she receives on the daily but I hope to just by simply commenting add some positivity to her day. Thank you for all the happiness you bring to my life Carrie❤️
You've been an INCREDIBLE Eponine/Beth/Wednesday/Veronica/Truly and you are a REMARKABLE Fantine. If anyone says you are wrong for those roles, they're crazy.
"I just had a blast" Carrie that might have been the most English thing you've ever said and I love it 😂 it's amazing to see what roles you have played and there's so many that I'm not even sure you've told the internet about so it was cool to learn some of those. Also hearing the "angels" singing was almost a religious experience, like, WOW ❤️
I remember how shocked I was when Carrie was cast as Veronica. Not because I was comparing her to Barrett or because the other reasons people had to talk shit but because CARRIE WAS GONNA DO A SEX SCENE ON STAGE. The big sister of TH-cam was gonna get down on stage and it was something I never thought would happen. She was a great Veronica and I’m disappointed in the people who said she wasn’t right for the role because clearly the Heathers Team thought otherwise!
Eric Whitacre is amazing. Played under his baton before and I have also played many of his band pieces and got to sing Sleep. Amazing. I have a pic of he and I after this concert. He is so kind and so talented.
I would like to say that when I saw you in Heathers in London, I met people who had come specifically to see you from another country. Now, for the life of me I can't remember where, but this girl was with her mother and she was so excited just to see you. You were pretty much the entire reason she came. I'd also like to add that to me, you were the perfect Veronica!
my stomach did a flip when u rushed through the "and still I dream he'll come to me, that we will live the years together..." because I desperately want to hear you sing that song. How I wish I could see you play Fantine since I never managed to see you as Eponine. Les Mis is one of my favourite musicals and it would be a dream to watch you play her. But alas, I have no money 😂😂
That song is on her album! You can listen to it there. It was before her role, but she mentioned in a video that she auditioned with that song and sang it how it sounds on her album.😁
@@amiablehacker I do have her album and love that version! But there's something different about hearing her sing live, you know ❤️ I consider myself lucky from just seeing her play Veronica and Beth!
I live in the US and have no funds/resources to visit the UK, but I remember being crushed that you had so many divided opinions on your role as Veronica. The bits I saw on your vlogs are amazing. I loved that you didn't let that negativity bog you down.
I saw you in The Addams Family, Heathers, and the Les Mis concert and you were INCREDIBLE in all of them. Am seeing Les Mis at the Sondheim in January and I think you’re performing then as well!
I’ve watched you in Les miserables, the Addams family and chitty chitty Bang Bang you were incredible in all these musicals you’re my biggest inspiration Carrie I’m so proud of you 💜
Its lovely to see you reflect on a lot of the roles you've done. I've seen a quite a few of your shows, including the christmas Carol concert, and having you talk about them has brought back so many great memories x
I just love these videos so much 💜💗💜 Carrie is like a big sister to her entire audience and I love that she’s kept that going for all these years. A true role model to me and my friends x
I was just watching jessica kellgren-fozard and when Carrie started with, "Hello, lovely people" I was so confused for a second. I thought I clicked on the wrong video 😆
I met you at Stagedoor on Saturday evening and honestly that is a memory I'll tressure forever. And since I was flying back to germany the next day it was the perfect end to my london trip. ❤
Great video! I had a quarrel with my mother, and after that a little hysteria with tears and everything else. So I started watching this video, even though I had seen it before. I noticed that after your videos I feel better. And this time it helped too - after the story about Jamie's surprised face (I can even imagine him) I felt better. But now my mom upset me again and I'm going to watch one another video of yours (or more). I wish I could see you on stage. Hello from Ukraine. Sorry for my English.
I've sung Eric Whitacre's 'Sleep' in a close harmony consort recently. Without a doubt one of my favourite pieces I've ever had the pleasure of performing!
Hearing you talk about past roles has made me realise how long I've been watching your videos (and how long ago some of those roles were! Feels like Brenda was only last year!)
We’ve been waiting for this!!! You’ve done so much and come so far! So proud of you! My favourite roles you’ve been are Veronica, Wednesday, Eponine and Fantine! You are incredible!
I saw you this year as Fantine (and you were incredible!) on my birthday, and last year I saw you lead Heathers as Veronica on my birthday (which you absolutely nailed) I choose to watch you perform time and time again because you have insane talent drive and performance. But I think you portrayal of Veronica has a special place in my heart
god I love you carrie you never fail to bring happiness to anyone who stumbles upon your video. you just have a wonderful way with words to spark joy into anyone :) 💞I’m taking a break from doing drama coursework to watch this!
AHHHHH Okay guys, I love Eric Whitacre and fell in love with Paradise Lost almost six years ago, and "Sleep My Child" (the song she refers to in this vid) is on my short list of favorite-ever songs AND YET I had no idea Carrie was part of the trio!!!! What an INcredible day
What a fab video! I really like watching theses sorts of videos where you take us on a whistle stop tour of your time in the theatre. And what a brilliant audience to perform Cinderella in front of; literally a room full of all my creative heroes! :)
This was such a wonderful video. It fills me with so much pride to see all of the amazing roles that you've played. You deserve every bit of success that comes your way, never let anyone make you think otherwise. xx
My favourite character is Eponine, ever since I first watched the Swedish production. Used to dress up in my mum's trenchcoat and hat and sing in fron of my dad's three way mirror. Doing dancing and amateur drama helped me through school and being bullied. After my chemotherapy, my bones are brittle, so I can't dance anymore, but I can and will still sing. Singing a lot, and I love the songs in Heather's as well. The key you sing in, is easier to sing with. Especially for Wednesday, as the actresses in the Broadway production seem to belt it. I'm a mezzo soprano
Carrie hope fletcher In the theatre early ? Sounds fake but ok

Watching this in 2021 when Cinderella opens next month! Well done Carrie for actually getting the role
Only Carrie, when talking about feeling like a star would talk about having tea and coffee 😂
haha :-D
I just got so emotional with Carrie saying she wished people saw Cinderella more and she’s playing her now in the west end 🥺

As much as I prefer the off broadway version of heathers to west end, Carrie did a kickass job on Veronica (esp with I Say No)
I love west end. I hate off Broadway no offense
The west end was sanitised
