We flew Emirates economy in May to Madrid from Sydney returning economy London Dubai Sydney. Very impressed. Thanks Dennis. Lovely to see you returning to the skies and sharing your experiences.
I recently flew from MAN to DXB in the upper deck economy cabin of Emirates on a 2 class A380 . It was a great alternative to the main cabin economy and offered 2-4-2 seating . Once again a great review Dennis . My very best wishes to you and your family for the New Year , and I hope the travel recovery from the dreaded Covid continues at pace . Cheers 👍
I've done the same (MAN to DXB and back) a number of times and to be honest I think I prefer economy on the lower deck. I was very conscious of the curve of the fuselage on the upper deck, and I felt a bit claustrophobic. Also, all that extra storage available to the window seats just gave me more opportunities to leave stuff behind! But of course other aspects of the product - pricing, food, entertainment, etc - are the same.
I agree. I paid extra to sit upstairs with a seat next to the window. It is great because you do not disturb a person you may not know that is sitting on the end to go to the bathroom. I also wanted to sit as close to the front as possible so I was not looking at the wing.
Good to see you again, and the vids keep coming. I did some work in Saudi Arabia a few years ago and was amazed that people were out of their seats straight after touchdown. Lots of swaying in the aisles during the taxi to the terminal!!
Hi Dennis, I’m flying emirates premium economy and economy on a trip to Italy, and business back to Sydney, this august. Your reviews are great to see and I live vicariously through your videos as I eagerly wait for my holiday! Great video can’t wait for the next one
Thanks for another great trip report. Emirates certainly do Economy class well. It's interesting that they use an A380 on such a short route. Happy and blessed New Year to you and your company.
Not a bad review, but not typical for the title. I’m waiting to see a London-Sydney in a full economy review. Now that, is a test of an airline’s economy service.
Thanks for the up to date economy review of the A380. Wife and I are flying Mel-Dubai- Copenhagen on the 29th Jan. Hoping for empty seats next to us. Crossing fingers for A380 both legs. Mel - Dubai is. First international flights since August 2019. ✈️🎉🎉
Happy new year Dennis!!! Flew in qantas business on the a380 a couple days ago on qf11 and I got really freaked out cause I had not been on an a380 for a long time. I FORGOT HOW QUIET THEY WERE!!
I flew from Perth to Brisbane recently on Qantas and I had the window seat with someone in the aisle seat and an empty middle seat. That was pretty good.
I like to take hints from your videos on the best ways to travel and, for my first ever flight on an A380 coming up soon, I have booked a middle seat in Row 78 hoping that at least one of them will be empty either side of me. I also like the faux seclusion that comes with the bulkhead sticking out on the right.
Hi Dennis Thank you very much for another very interesting video and really look forward to your 2023 travels. I hope that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and wishing you all a very Happy New Year 2023
Very nice. It reminds me of my first flights on EK over twenty years ago, when I had never hear of EK and EK was picked for me by my Italian travel agen. I liked EK then and your contemporary video brings back pleasant memory.
I love the A380 economy. I’ve been to Australia in 2015 and i celebrateted my 65fth birthday on the way op to Brisbane and ended in Townsville. Great Seat, great food and wonderfull service. Love your video Dennis as allways and een gelukkig nieuwjaar en goede gezondheid gewenst voor jou en jouw geliefden.😘 groetjes uit Holland Dennis.🇾🇪🥂
Great review Dennis as usual, traveling on Emirates economy next week to Dubai, and we find the seats for a 7 hour journey very acceptable.i'm sure Emirates will recycle all the plastic they generate, but it's the same for any form of shopping etc, there is always plastic, cardboard, and glass to recycle. 👍
What an incredible flight of A380 there to Cairo. I had an awesome experience with them too going with EK flights to Zurich and back to Tokyo. New subs here 👋🏻❤️
Hi Dennis. Happy new year. I love watching your videos and have followed you for quite a while now.Keep up the great work. (May I ask where your glasses frames are from?)
Hi Dennis, a great review as normal, all classes in Emirates are of a high standard. You were lucky to get a whole row to yourself. You were right to mention about the food packaging. Looking forward to your next review.
Happy New Year Dennis hope you have a great year of travel ahead i am planning to Europe for Christmas this year with Emirates or Singapore Airlines in first class
amazing review dennisbunnik the a380 is such a iconic aircraft i never been on it but i love too we only go to orlando every october just gone we was on the a350-1000 premium economy manchester to orlando the the a330-300 back the names was fearless lady that was the 350 miss england was the a330
At 3:26 you say "not long after departure from Cairo". Then at 5:22 you say "before long we were starting our descent into Cairo." So it was a flight from Cairo to Cairo?? Amazing how nobody in the comments notices this.
I'll bet the flight from Sydney was packed. I flew to Copenhagen with Emirates then home from Dublin. Packed from Sydney to Dubai half empty to Copenhagen. 3 seats to myself was going to have a sleep across all seats UNTILL I saw the scenery. No sleep that day! Still think Emirates and Virgin are the best.
Kind of like these new shorter reviews. You hit all the important features, show enough to tell the story, and keep it short to maintain interest. Don't stop making the long ones, but these short ones are nice in between.
Ah, Dennis, let's face it , you are a lucky dog cracking a whole row to yourself. Mind you me being an old grumpy traveller, too old to fly in economy, I admire your continued enthousiasme for all kinds of air travel ( but I am still carrying jealousy over your upgrade to Air France " Le Premiere".) Hoping that Qatar will swop their B 777-ER from Melbourne to Doha to an A 380 in May and to Cairo in September 2023. Cheers.
If you're here in Feb and March then catch the Festival and Adelaide Fringe. Heaps of good beaches just South of the city. Wine regions in every direction including Barossa, McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills and Clare Valley. Further afield Kangaroo Island, Eyre Peninsular and Flinders Ranges are all worth visiting. Not sure of next SYD trip but no doubt will be there before too long.
Hi Dennis. Happy New Year ! Gee, you were lucky scoring a whole row to yourself. It can be lonely, but the extra room you gain is worth the loneliness ! Lol 😆 That was a very large breakfast, especially for an economy seat. All the best for 2023
Hi Dennis, Thank you so much for this great video, truly amazing !! I have been thinking of going to Dubai, I missed Expo and I want to see what is left of it. Also visit the city. I will be leaving from Montreal and I will certainly fly Emirates Airline. It will be a 15 hour flight !!! What I want to ask, is it really worth visiting the Expo site now ? Also is Dubai worth the long flight ? If you or any of your viewers can help me I would sincerely appreciate it. Thank you so much !!!!
Hi Dennis, great review. Are you aware Emirates no longer provide ammenity kits in business class, if it is a day flight? I travelled recently from Dubai to Barcelona on business class and found they didn't provide ammenity kits just because it was a day flight, which was a disappointment.
I wonder if that applies to the almost 14 hour long haul between Melbourne and Dubai, which I'm flying - then on to Rome - in May (economy) and home again in June, business class.
Happy New Year Dennis to you and the family! Always nice to these reviews of the economy class on these flights to give a good idea on what people might expect when they use this class of travel. Cheers and thanks!
Why do Qatar and Emirates usually use these A380s on predominantly short to medium routes yet trapse out their dodgy 777s on the majority of their long and ultra long haul routes 🕵♀️🤬
Sorry we had a terrible trip on a Nile Cruise in September the boat was so old I think it had been used since the Second World War!! Didn’t go with your company Dennis probably should have 😡
Pretty funny for a guy who's living comes from putting people on round the world flights to complain about plastic being unfriendly to the environment lol
Firstly, it is “whose living” not “who’s living”. Secondly, how is it funny when an environmentally conscious tour operator remarks on the amount of disposable packaging used in an economy class flight, when it is true that perhaps airlines could make some positive changes to reduce plastic waste? For their family business which heavily relies on the aviation industry, and who has no control over the amount of disposable packaging used in flights, I would’ve thought Dennis a responsible TH-cam citizen to take note of these, and by extension this is a good reflection on the environmental consciousness of the family business.
@@HaroldKumar89 Totally agree and I picked up on that comment too, in a positive way. Most airlines could step up a lot when it comes to reducing disposable packaging. Surely there’s a better way that’s economical and hygienic, especially when it comes to pastries, bread rolls etc. Why all the plastic wrapping? And you’re so right - it’s whose not who’s 😊
@@HaroldKumar89 because their entire business is based on colossal carbon emissions so worrying about a bit of plastic is hilarious, it's like an oil company putting solar panels on their offices
@@lukei1 even small changes makes a big difference. Most airplanes now are working to reduce their carbon emissions. Qantas has a huge carbon offset mission that they started in 2007. It’s not unreasonable to point out small and easy changes. I’m a huge environmentalist but I still drive to my work, and fly on airplanes (because as an Australian there’s not a more time or cost effective way for me to leave the country otherwise).
Disgraceful! Long haul Stansted, Dubai, Singapore and Perth and return - December! Cattle class seating configuration, abysmal hot food options, acrid coffee, sockets unreliable, crews harrassed and exhausted! Had to chastise a male Purser as to his attitude towards a young female assistant - shameful!
Happy New Year, Dennis! 🥳 Thank you for all your lovely videos!
We flew Emirates economy in May to Madrid from Sydney returning economy London Dubai Sydney. Very impressed. Thanks Dennis. Lovely to see you returning to the skies and sharing your experiences.
Happy new year. Nice review. Love the staff on Emirates. Always friendly and efficient. Cheers

Possibly the best Airline reviews on the net..

Nice trip report, my favorite airline Emirates and favorite aircraft Airbus a380.
your reviews are always fantastic
Always love watching your videos they’re so simple
Thanks for the new video!

Great video as always Dennis, although you did throw me off when you said 'Not long after departure from Cairo, breakfast was served'! ;)
I flew from Perth to Brisbane recently on Qantas and I had the window seat with someone in the aisle seat and an empty middle seat. That was pretty good.

Nice flight to Cairo with Emirates... nice staff and food
Happy new year and I wish you a beautiful 2023. Thank you for this emirates review. It was so educational and useful.
Happy New Year!
Thank you very much, Dennis, for sharing your wonderful documentary video with us.
Love these reviews keep up the incredible work!
Hi Dennis Thank you very much for another very interesting video and really look forward to your 2023 travels.
I hope that you and your family had a wonderful Christmas and wishing you all a very Happy New Year 2023
Interesting video. Always good to see a review of Economy flying!
Hello. Love the video. Wanted to know what camera you used to film this video with? Thank
Very nice. It reminds me of my first flights on EK over twenty years ago, when I had never hear of EK and EK was picked for me by my Italian travel agen. I liked EK then and your contemporary video brings back pleasant memory.
Happy New year Dennis. Really good video. By far the best economy product at the moment
Hi Dennis. A happy New year to you and your family from one Aussie to another. May it be a good one. Another great review. Thank you.
Excellent trip report and happy New Years Dennis!
Happy new year to you and the family Dennis
Great vlog as always
Another great trip report Dennis. Great to see the superjumbos back in the sky these days!
Love your video Dennis.

Happy new year Dennis! Great review as usual
Hi Dennis, a great review as normal, all classes in Emirates are of a high standard. You were lucky to get a whole row to yourself. You were right to mention about the food packaging. Looking forward to your next review.
Happy new year mate! Looking forward to more excellent videos next year.
HNY. Emirates in economy to AMS was very poor, especially the 777.
Glad you had spare seats next to you but in August it was a sardine can.
Hey Dennis,
Try Qatar A-380 business class.
Love your content always 👌❤️🇱🇰🥰👍
I always wait for your next video ans all the best for 2023
Happy New Year Dennis hope you have a great year of travel ahead i am planning to Europe for Christmas this year with Emirates or Singapore Airlines in first class
Hi Dennis, do Australian power plugs fit in those power sockets on the back of Emirates seats? Or do we need an adapter? Thanks.
Did you ever fly across Antarctica and land on the other wise of ball? Have a video or description?
Happy New Year Dennis!
amazing review dennisbunnik the a380 is such a iconic aircraft i never been on it but i love too we only go to orlando every october just gone we was on the a350-1000 premium economy manchester to orlando the the a330-300 back the names was fearless lady that was the 350 miss england was the a330
will try the a380'out of Perth this week

Can you do a seven hour flight sitting in the middle seat review? Isn’t so comfortable .
Happy new year dennis 🎉! 😊😊
Hi what is your best seat on An A380 economy class?
Hey Dennis, what should I do and see in Adelaide? When are you in Sydney next?
If you're here in Feb and March then catch the Festival and Adelaide Fringe. Heaps of good beaches just South of the city. Wine regions in every direction including Barossa, McLaren Vale, Adelaide Hills and Clare Valley. Further afield Kangaroo Island, Eyre Peninsular and Flinders Ranges are all worth visiting. Hi Dennis.
Happy New Year !
Gee, you were lucky scoring a whole row to yourself. It can be lonely, but the extra room you gain is worth the loneliness ! Lol 😆
That was a very large breakfast, especially for an economy seat.
All the best for 2023
I have on been on Emirates to Dubai
Traveling in the middle 4 might be challenging when it's full, I think I'd try to book a middle seat if possible
How was the recline in row 79?
Hi Dennis, Thank you so much for this great video, truly amazing !! I have been thinking of going to Dubai, I missed Expo and I want to see what is left of it. Also visit the city. 6:18 ah yes, when you can only repeat "remain seated" so many times and hope the cockpit slams on the brakes instead
Happy New Year sir
wish you talked about leg room.
wow....come to indonesia mister
Good video.
Happy new year 2023
Hi Dennis, great review. Are you aware Emirates no longer provide ammenity kits in business class, if it is a day flight? I travelled recently from Dubai to Barcelona on business class and found they didn't provide ammenity kits just because it was a day flight, which was a disappointment.

Nice! The only thing better than an A380 flight is a short A380 flight.😂😂
Think someone 6’6” and all leg would find this seat comfy long haul?
Go bulkhead
Great review, sorry you had to go economy class 😂 Emirates seats look very spacious and comfortable.
Emirates was ok except that on all four flights that we have done with them, the economy cabin temperature is usually set to freezing. Why?
The economy clas looks outdated as out if date UCE screen not useing updated ice digital wide-screen
Happy New Year Dennis to you and the family! Always nice to these reviews of the economy class on these flights to give a good idea on what people might expect when they use this class of travel. Cheers and thanks!
Surely they could’ve found a better picture to represent 1995 than one from the OJ trial
very true
Empty seat roulette! Double win this time 😅
HNY (that stands for happy new year, but I quite literally couldn’t be bothered to write it out in longhand).........🤦🏼Doh!
Ar the end people rudh to get of the aircraft as soon as possible
the a380 is an engineering masterpiece, but its a circus to fly with! too many people!
You had the whole row by yourself? That means they are losing big $ from operation :)
Oh I so want to do Egypt, single women traveller would probable need to do a group I’m thinking 🤔
I agree about the packing for the meal. So much pointless single use plastic.
✈️
Why do Qatar and Emirates usually use these A380s on predominantly short to medium routes yet trapse out their dodgy 777s on the majority of their long and ultra long haul routes 🕵♀️🤬
Because of demand, during holiday season the A380 sometimes comes to Bahrain and even then it's packed to the brim when usually it's a half full 777
Sorry we had a terrible trip on a Nile Cruise in September the boat was so old I think it had been used since the Second World War!! Didn’t go with your company Dennis probably should have 😡
It was good and wonderful but Qatar 🇶🇦 Airways is the best Airline in the world
Pretty funny for a guy who's living comes from putting people on round the world flights to complain about plastic being unfriendly to the environment lol

Agreed, the amount of environmental damage and waste of fuel etc just from this man alone is astounding.

Downvoted for cry baby plastic complaints. But good video
Downvoted for stupid comment. Thanks for watching though
That sausage is cooked?
