Love these 1, 2, 3 am post rock mixes. Not obly are they made with a really awesome selection of songs but the vibe is so fitting, especially since I've been up late nights lately. It's awesome how all those post rock mixes here give you a certain feel and fit together nicely even though each song is from a different band and/or album. Great taste in the genre. I deleted my Instagram almost 2 years ago. I told myself it was because I was purging myself of social media. But in reality, it was because I was in love with a girl that I couldn't have. It was only through there that we communicated, as if it was a cheat or workaround, and nothing was wrong because I wasn't calling her or texting her. I had spent time with her in real life at work, we always had a wonderful time together. It was not business, rather pleasure. Our schedules were incompatible, yet every 2-3 months, or if we were lucky, every month, we would work together. There was a time when I felt that was the single most important thing in my life. Every time i got my schedule, I would hold my breath I received a task that I knew was the only task that we got to ever work together. Then I would anxiously wait a week or so to show up to the workplace and hope with such intensity that she would be there waiting for me with that beautiful smile. Those hours were magnificent. And once I said goodbye. It would all start again. Wishing that this next wait would be shorter than the last... This went on for almost 2 years. And then she left. Towards the end, I knew she had a boyfriend, although she never mentioned it. Nothing ever distasteful happened. But we knew what was present. I never even gave her a hug goodbye. I was to shy ofcourse, but I also felt a little guilty, even though nothing happened. But I knew, or I wished... No, we knew. We kept in touch... through Instagram. And it went on for a number of months, almost a year. It wasn't the same ofcourse, but it continued. Then it got serious, they got serious. She posted a picture of them together. Then another. Then I left. And now I'm here. Back. I finally summed up the courage. Put on this video to help me, and signed back in. They are engaged now. I am happy. But I'm not. I really did love her. I am really glad she is happy. But why couldn't it be me. I could have made her happy like he makes her happy. Right. But I don't think I could. Not only does it hurt that she is not with me but also because I dont blame her. I dont have my life figured out. Why would she be with someone like me when there is someone like him. He probably is better than me. I always knew I wasn't good enough for her. But I never got the chance. She was perfect. She is the only person I ever thought about like that. I thought she could've been the one I wanted to spend my life with. Now I have to reply to a 2 year old unread message. I dont know what to say. It probably doesn't matter. Will she even read it, care? Will she even remember? Will I even write a response? I never had the courage to do the things I wanted to do. But what do I expect. She is engaged. What do I want? Part of me still wants her to be with me no matter what that means for her and her partner. Selfish. But I know that is wrong. I think I just want closure. But I dont even know how to achieve that! I think I need to tell her how I feel in order for that to occur. But I won't do that. Because I'm not an asshole. Ill just wallow in sadness like I always do and pray I forget. Even though I never do. I'll just say hi, that I'm happy for her, because I really am. But I think she'll remember, like I have never forgotten. That we had something. An unspoken agreement that kept us safe and proper. And that I will always cherish that, like I hope she does too. Because it was either that, or nothing at all. And I don't know about all of you, but I prefer to be here surrounded by you all. Feeling these emotions of love I dont have, because that's the person I am.
