Looked at both videos regarding your 2213A repair work. Of the 2213A projects on TH-cam, your 2213A project is the most detailed, most in-depth, and most articulated videos of them all. GREAT JOB!! I recently bought a 2213A on infamous Ebay with the seller claim of "functionality." In reality, my 2213A initially had a CRT failure, which I corrected. Now with a working CRT, we have no beam, no tracer, no trigger, no time division, etc., on either Channel 1or Channel 2. I have my work cut out for me.
Hi Nick, nice video. I've seen this problem on numerous 2000 series scopes. The cam switches are notorious for contact problems. I usually take a small piece of paper soaked in ipa and using a tweezers carefully pull it between contacts. Be very careful as these contacts are extremely delicate. This has cured symptoms similar to yours.
You prolly dont care but if you're stoned like me atm then you can stream all the latest series on InstaFlixxer. Been streaming with my girlfriend these days :)

@Valentin Yosef Yup, been watching on InstaFlixxer for months myself :D
Great tip, thank you.
My oscilloscope not shown the baseline, only appears a dot when I press "Beam FInd", help please . . .
Suspecting the ground connection to your attenuator at this point
You have to switch your probe to 10x on handle
Haven't watched part 2 yet, but I'm thinking you probably should have checked the mag setting before pulling it out!
Super informative and useful video! Thank you for putting this together!
I’m glad you found it useful. I love working on these classic scopes.
@@dualityrepair4770 Where did you get that schematic/circuit diagram for the scope?
A website called TekWiki. It’s got a fantastic amount of information / documentation from just about every Tektronix product ever made.
Be even more of a bummer if you took the cover off and all that was in there was 2 bricks.
If you need to, in the hole is a screwdriver adjustment to level the flat trace, it's on most of the 22 series of scopes.
Hi, nice video and well-done repair in 2 parts. Tnx.
Obviously don't know how to use a scope - embarasing !
