only thing I'd change is making the water a flat piece you can set in, so you can also have them be dry, or fill them with slimy gross water (hag's garden, nursery for oozes, etc)
ohh yer, that would have bene cool. but im not 100% sure how i would have approached that. it would have probably needed silicone molds to be made.....tho that isnt undoable hmmmmm
maybe you can make 3d printed or resin inserts for the fountains so you can pop out the different liquids. that way you can even have dry fountains if you have an environment that's in a dry season or an arid environment with very little water.
I love watching you work! Add a magnet to the back of the statue base that attaches to the non-circular pool, and you can add the wall behind the statue.
@@SebMakesStuff One of the best fantasy movies. It's a sub-titles movie, (which some people just can't watch) but I'm sure you'd enjoy it! Only suggestion... watch it with your 10-year-old mind... not adult mind. See you next video!
its 100% on the watchlist, now i have even more reason to finally get around to it. and dont worry, i approach most things with the mind of a child haha
Lots of glue. They're hot glued in to start, then the layer of mod podge to seal them up acts as a second batch of glue. I've also used very small magnets for the base peices so they don't have too much strength. You could also add a layer of super glue over top once you've sealed up your foam if you wanted even more strength.
Genius! I actually have multiple dremmels haha I don't know why I didn't think of that. I'm gonna bring it down to my craft station today so I don't forget about it next time. Cheers
These are fabulous and I will definitely be making some of these. Especially for the town that I’m going to be sending my players to soon. I do have a question about the statues though. You said in the video that you were going to put the links for them in the description but they are not there. Was that a mistake or did you mean to not include them?
ahhh yes, my brain clearly misfired as i completely forgot to do this. The links are now up in the description for most of the statues i used. I couldn't find a couple of them right away so i will update the description again when i find them. thanks for pointing this out
Interesting, I like the idea but I think that would cut the foam out on an angle so they wouldn't match quite right. Would neeed to modify the compass a bit. Which I may look into. As for the Kmart resin, it worked great when I missed it properly. But I also mixed some not so well for a silicone mould and it totally destroyed it as it didn't set properly and somehow stuck to the silicone. So not bad for cheap stuff, but not great for molds.
im just using a cheap foam board/foam card. ive just peeled off the paper before using it. ill be showing it more in my next video. its just a matter of finding stufff that you can peel the paper off easily haha some of it is a nightmare
As I mention, there's plenty of ways to approach it without any need for 3d printing. But printing is a big part of the community now and it's super handy, especially for things like this.

I LOVE the glitter coin idea!
It works soo well! Too bad glitter is soooo messy
@@SebMakesStuff All worth it :D
This is quite possibly the most brilliant thing I have seen regarding crafting for tabletop terrain! I absolutely love this idea. Excellent job!
Thats a massive compliment, thankyou! hopefully i can keep it up with future builds haha.
New _Seb Makes Stuff_ Drinking game... a shot every time the word "Modular" is used 🤣🤣 Super innovation mate, love it!
Haha as a non drinker I don't know if I should support this....but I do love me some modular terrain. So drink up! Haha
You definitely get my subscription for this video!
Cheers, welcome to the madness
I love watching you work! Add a magnet to the back of the statue base that attaches to the non-circular pool, and you can add the wall behind the statue.
Thankyou 😁 I'm now obsessed with adding magnets to everything haha
Love this idea! I want to see a modular player base that improves as the party progresses!
This is a great idea! I'm going to have to start looking into this
Such a fantastic idea. I am definitely stealing this.
Steal away! Nothing makes me happier
Love these, great work.
Cheers! They're a lot of fun. Now I want to make more things that can swap out. The multi use stuff is so handy
Endless possibilities, great imagination, and spot on commentary.
Thank you kindly
Nice work. Amazing ideas here. Thanks
Thankyou, hope they inspire some craft projects
Another banger- this will be perfect for dungeons and gardens- i need to plan out my own for high society side quests
"dungeons and gardens".....I would buy this module hahah
This is 100% my new weekend project! It’s brilliant!
Love this! Would love to see how they turn out
Sooooooooo, I guess I shouldn't say anything about del Toro's "Pan's Labyrinth" this time? Nice again!
I'm ashamed to admit that I haven't actually watched pans labarynth, so I probably wouldn't get the reference....I really should watch it 😂

Just don't come out with a codpiece crafting video afterwards.
The extreme modularity is impressive. My favorite part is the ability to have the fountain with the water running or not.
Yer the modularity is fun, but the fountains part is my favourite thing too.
Brilliant build. Love the diversity
Thanks, it's nice to get as many uses as possible out of scatter. I'm keen to try and make more things like this in the future
How awesome, such a great work 👍👍
Thankyou kindly
Fantastic!
Thankyou kindly
This is awesome thanks for this great tutorial!
thankyou kindly
Another banger by Seb. I love it!
Thankyou kindly
awesome build Seb! the resin water always looks so epic
Cheers! I do love any excuse for a resin pour haha
So much more beautiful in person 🥰😍 Can’t wait to build one with you ❤️ x
We will make a big one for your shelf ♥️
Really beautiful addition and I love all of the options 😊😊😊
Cheers, can't wait to play them out on the table. They'll go nicely in the maze
@@SebMakesStuff it’s going to be amazing 🤩
Nice work
Thank you kindly
Love the video, small question, how do you manage to get the magnets not snapping from the piece when removing the pieces one from the other?
Lots of glue. They're hot glued in to start, then the layer of mod podge to seal them up acts as a second batch of glue. I've also used very small magnets for the base peices so they don't have too much strength.
You could also add a layer of super glue over top once you've sealed up your foam if you wanted even more strength.
Next time instead of the plastic saw use a dremel. It's so much more efficient. If you don't have one they are worth every penny.
Genius! I actually have multiple dremmels haha I don't know why I didn't think of that. I'm gonna bring it down to my craft station today so I don't forget about it next time. Cheers
im here for fridge magnets
Some garden bed fridge magnets are actually something I would rock!
But wait. There's more! :)
haha exactly! im hoping to keep them coming as well. never ending scatter!!!!!

Sticky tape a scalpel blade to the pencil/biro on your compass. Save a step?
How did you find the Kmart resin?
Interesting, I like the idea but I think that would cut the foam out on an angle so they wouldn't match quite right. Would neeed to modify the compass a bit. Which I may look into.

What is the foam board you are using please? I have foam card, which is foam between paper, but I can't find the type you are using.
im just using a cheap foam board/foam card. ive just peeled off the paper before using it. ill be showing it more in my next video. its just a matter of finding stufff that you can peel the paper off easily haha some of it is a nightmare
PSA! Don’t forget to check the polarity on your magnets before you glue them in!! You don’t want your statue to refuse your base…
Yer that's why I built the magic stick, so you always have that reference
dam... this was amazing up until the 3d printing.
As I mention, there's plenty of ways to approach it without any need for 3d printing.
