The recent flurry of Grand Seiko videos is fantastic!

I wish more watchmakers incorporated ceramic bezels into their nondiving models.

Grand Seiko make the best quartz watches on the market, period (sorry Citizen). The ceramic bezel is a nice touch as well; using a scratch resistant material for the bezel on non-sport watches is something more brands should do (the Omega Globemaster's tungsten bezel, and Omega Constellation 41mm ceramic bezel are also good examples).
That said, this watch is also a textbook example of my only issue with GS. Namely, why must GS only lume their sports and quartz watches? If they put these indices and hands on some of their 3-hand high-beat and spring-drive watches they would have some of the best "only-watch" pieces on the market, easily holding their own against the Datejust and Aqua Terra.

Great presentation with a great watch. I really like this watch. It would be a great watch to own. I need this watch to have a superb Grand Seiko watch in the collection no setting grab an go. Thank You Sir. All the best stay healthy and safe.

I'm lucky enough to own this watch and it is an amazing piece. However, I feel that the lighting in your video did not do this Grand Seiko justice. In natural daylight this watch pops as the sunburst dial reflects light beautifully. This watch also has anti magnetic resistance to 16,000 A/m.

Great review of a superb watch. I am lucky enough to have several watches ( two chronometer grade automatics including a Rolex) and a Grand Seiko 9f quartz.
I have had this watch for over 6 years and the accuracy has got better each year due to the incredible hand assembled quartz movement.
At present , I believe mine is accurate to 1-2 seconds a year. ( taking into account daylight savings time).
This would still be the watch I would choose if I only could have one watch.
    Cheers
    Dave

They should make their quartz movement, sweep like springdrive. Similar to some casio clocks i know

    • @craigfisher1937

It's almost impossible. You'll get away with it on a wall clock but a watch with a button battery will have horrendous battery life.
