Imagining an apocalyptic world with Nicole as a survivor leader. Calmly smiling while showing others how to build a shelter. Then going on to kill zombies/aliens/monsters with an axe and a gleeful "Okie dokey".
😄
Can't be an apocalyptic world with a calmly smiling Coenen leading and protecting us!
Must be more of an utopia in rhat case. Never mind some knotty logs or zombies.
I'm in. Lets go!
Don't forget her Skull Splitting Sword!!
I'm thoroughly convinced she could okey dokey her way right through any apocalypse.
I built one with my fourth grade class. We set it up in our classroom and covered it with particle board and paper mache. Ms Campbell had us singing along to John Denver songs and hanging out in our dome
You have built yourself a fortress of solitude. You are awesome 👍. And yes, I have said okie dokie at work. Whatever you have is catching 😷.❤😊
A new video! Okie dokie!
This would be really cool to build a cabin out of! You could make multiple, connect them with little A frames and have yourself a nice little modular cabin
Yep, there's a channel, " Trillium Domes" that makes a variation in design with a pointy top, also the two people who made, "Cabinland" created a similarly pointy tiny home .
Magidomes are so simple and easy to put together. It’s the best for streamlined projects
You take a minute to make a complex puzzle simple, and all with a disarming smile !
A 1v icosa isnt much of a puzzle, there are 11 identical hubs and 25 identical struts, :)
That was pretty slick to fit all that into barely over a minute! Cool connectors!
Your expert assembly looked effortless! Curious to see what lies ahead for the dome, especially as the seasons shift toward the first snap of frost and flurries of snow. Warm wishes from the Eastern sea.
I know what I want to get myself for Christmas now 😆 I love any excuse to build something, and this dome would be amazing for star gazing!! ✨️🌟
Trillium Domes does awesome domes that are a bit more practical
@@johnnybayles7412they are amazing however far more time consuming labor intensive
@@johnnybayles7412
You should tell folks that you own the trillium dome website.
Just about done with my moms 26’ geodesic dome greenhouse. It was a little bit more complicated since it was quite a bit bigger.
Bravo. That takes dedication.
I'm not sure what else 😢expected you to do in a dome, but you got a laugh out of me. Thanks.
"Yamaka" wood shed. Ya gotta luv it.
this is good. love to see more building stuff. this is something my wife would love going to have to look into it. thank you. much love from Alberta.
Check out Trillium Domes a bit more practical dome designs
@johnnybayles7412 thank you. will check em out tonight. much appreciated
@@johnnybayles7412
You should tell folks that you own the trillium dome website. Fwiw, your "more practical designs" cant use 2x4`s or 2x6`s. Your triangles can twist as they are only held together by 3 wood screws that go into the end grain. A dome that uses steel plates, 3/8" bolts and structural grade 2x4`s will not only be be many times stronger, it`ll be easier and quicker to fabricate.
Excitedly watching with absolutely no comprehension of what a Magidome Geodesic Dome is or why it is being constructed.
watching you here from Brazil and really enjoying the content. Your videos have been an excellent discovery in my current moment of starting over. Thank you very much Nicole.
This is so dope! Please do more of these videos 😍
This is really sick. Great venue. Great domes. Great person. Love this.
Really interesting! You made me lough so much when you had to split a log to maintain the channel mood.
Now you can add "builder" to your resume 😊
Excellent job Nicole! 👏
Well done! 👏 👏
Nicole, the joy you share is contagious. Thank you and oky doky, Wasta
I get the feeling you don't play alot of D&D, but if you put a "bottom" on it that matched the top, you could have the biggest d20 that ever done rolled!
Impressive 😊
...This would be perfect to customize into it's own jungle gym for kids with all the backyard climbing stuff.
I'm going to be helping a good friend of mine build 4 of those for him and his family. Can't wait to start it. Going up be fun building it.
It looks incredible on you, you are very good at what you do, thank you for sharing those details. 😊
Heck yeah! Turned out great!
Nicole, thanks for sharing! ❤
I love your smile and your optimistic nature.
Connectors are not necessary but does make the job so much easier.
It doubles the price at least.
Very cool 👏👏
Thank you! Your videos make me happy😊
You are skillful !!!I Wish you every success with your!
This was actually really fascinating lol
Yet another reason why I love this channel!
I'm glad you got your hands on some decent tools. I remember a video you did a few months ago where you had to use a screwdriver and a rock to get the broken handle out of an axe head.
Nicole, do you have merch? I’d like a coffee mug with a picture of your cherubic smile and an “okey dokey!” quote.
You're amazing!
I could watch you build stuff or restore old axes all day.
Keep pumping out content please.
Nice work!!!
That's pretty cool
Your shorts charmed me into subscribing Nicole. Your vids are great!
Might make a nice greenhouse.
I love to see you make some kind of covering for this and a door or really whatever you have planned for this.
Nicole, I really like what you did with that!
Thanks!
I like watching you.
You get me out of my bad mood And I always feel so much better
You deserve a ❤...great job
Now Nicole that is very cute. Make a nice wood chopping shelter.
You're amazing.
Awesome, I have never seen these before.. hope you and the pup are well.😁
Cool calm competence.
You made that look so easy
Cool !!!
Love you 🎉🎉
Yeah!!! Cool! ( Been a fan of those a long time. NPR's show " The 21st" ( 12/13/22 interviewed the author of a biography of R. Buckminster Fuller, by Alec Nevala-Lee,
Inventor of the Future: The Visionary Life of Buckminster Fuller.)
Coincidentally, the comedian, Emma Willmann, said she grew up in one that her dad built during an interview. Did you know about the, " Trillium Domes" channel? There are also many people experimenting with bamboo frame designs, straw bale and cob walls, etc. Not sure what might be ideal, but really dug a line from a newer Futurama episode: "I'm afraid your friend is about to be fully Buckminstered!" ( -As a geodesic dome is rolling towards them.) : )
Oki-doki❤❤❤thx iblearned avlit from that .Ur awesome sis.
Thanks for sharing the video. Nice work and looks really cool😀
Very nice!
this is awesome, thank you Nicole
Parabéns! Muito obrigado pela inspiração através do teu trabalho!!!
The other day I caught myself saying "Okie dokie" to myself, and thought, how many of Nicole's videos have I watched?
okie dokie is good for the soul
yes as i write before, still in her heart but I will not tell you why. @@jayayywhy4374
Great tutorial !
Now to find a use for a geodesic dome ...
Seriously, you are the Queen of Lumber!
those connectors are so neat. We had chickens a while ago, and before we started, I researched for some covered chicken run, I found metal geodesic domes but those would cost an arm an a leg.
.that tiny saw thing looks great, if I can aver move and keep chicken again, I will definitely get one of those
Very nice 👍❤
Welcome... to another edition of LUMBERDOME!
Just put a cover on it and its ready to be a good coverd chopping spot or for when the weather is bad or to store wood to dry to chop later. Especially now you are getting in to the cold weather.
You are a wonderful woman continue doing that please
Hello. Fine video and building!
Have a great continuation.
😉👍👍👍
Happy new year Nicole 💥💫💢💥
your so kind and sweet and my sister loves to watch your channel and i love to chop wood to it makes me more calm hope you keep growing your sweet and kind channel hope you have a good day.
I remember when thise "star plates" first came out. Mother Earth magazine had many articles on the construction of multiple connected buildings. Those plates where very expensive when they came out..now that I have plenty of land...I think I'll look into them again. Thanks Ms Nicole
Just thumb nailing here, but these look too spendy for framing ties... I'd be really tempted to buy some Simpson strap ties and weld them together. Strap ties- about $1.00 each. Those star connectors were $100.00+ when I googled. Unless there's a special metal type, or special thickness, I'm missing the value here. What do you think?
You could build with no hubs at all. Much more beautiful, practical and cheaper. Check out Trillium Domes
@@AmericaShrugged $125.64 for 11 connectors, or about $11.42 each. If you weld your own you'll likely need to coat them to prevent rust since you'll cook off the galvanized coating. And you're going to need 3 straps for each and the 20 gauge ones for a buck aren't going to compare against a single 16 gauge stamped piece. Not to mention your time and effort. So......buying is most likely a better option from a value perspective, even if you own a welder.
@@nunyabusiness5075 Excellent points, and thanks for diving deeper than I did! Maybe I nitpick a little about a can of spray sealer for anti- rust, but you're right on the money. Either way, it is much more fun imo to wrestle it all around and make it into a project, cuz I'm kind of a fool like that, lol!! Cheers!

You should tell folks that you own the trillium dome website. You cant use 2x4`s or 2x6`s with your method.
A chopping dome
A splitting dome
A sitting dome
Whatever you call it, i think it's a great design. Being creative with the covering can be huge fun.
Small spaces are relaxing, cozy and comfy.🍀♻️🌲💚
Little Italy, Texas, is where you want to go for the big ones. Looks good though.
Dang, a motivated person with enough lumber on-site could have one of them things up in about a day and a half. Only bother is gonna be sourcing windows that look good on that.
Just need a few more to make the world's biggest d20. See what happens if you turn up to a larp with that :P
D28 that one will make.
Well done Nicole!! You're now a true Kootenay girl!! 😊😊😊
Whats next, a yurt?? 😊 Love your vids!!!
Near a million. Good luck, maybe some signed axe giveaways.

よく似合うね😊 🇯🇵🗾より
Buck yeah!
Okie dokie, time to hit up Home Depot 😊
Good. Dome.
The laugh 👍
okie dokie sis❤❤❤❤
It doesn't look quite big enough to cover a whole futuristic Mega-City, but who needs one of those in their backyard anyway?
Jokes aside, that's pretty cool.
I sure you have discovered the cure fór homelessness.
Good job!👍
That was the hunky-doriest okie dokie
Du bist wundervoll 😮
I love that lady.😊
That was really great. It’s too bad you don’t go ahead and put a top on it inside but it was a great instructional video. Thank you for doing this and also happy Thanksgiving.
Neat.
so many uses. vine lattice, fur hanger. if industrious use metal tubing and its a fire pit exterior
I bet you could scale it up just by making the pieces the same percentage longer. Could upsize to 2x6 as well.
I soo love u lady. Hi from Russia. Be happy.
(I didn't check every comment but, ) I wanted to add: Paint dat Lumber. Esp important for the ends and the hole the bolts run through. Other than that I pretty much echo the other comments- 'Good Job!' from yer Uncle Taz.
This looked like fun!
I've watched a bunch of your shorts but this puts me over the top, you've got a new sub 😁.
I'm planning on building a sustainable home in the wilderness.
I've considered a standard cabin, a geodesic dome and a yurt for my living structure.
So far I've eliminated the standard cabin, I mean who wants to be 'normal' just to conform to normality, am I right? Besides, a standard cabin is labor and material intensive and will be expensive. Essentially working against nature to build a square box just seems stupid to me.
Both the dome and the yurt will require a platform. My platform will be 4' above ground level and 2' below. I'm going to enclose and insulate it for storage that is accessible from within the structure through a trap door and stairs.
The dome and yurt are strong structures though the dome is geometrically stronger.
I'm on the fence about which to build for my living space but leaning toward the yurt do to the cost and labor. Whatcha think?
This is the simplest of geodesic domes. Basically a D20 without the bottom 5 faces. Larger domes will require different sized struts and some 6-way connectors.
Its a copy of the starplate building system. You can use a 4ft length of 3.5" dia steel or heavy wall pvc tube to make the hubs.
Oki doki 😀
I come for my dose of morning WOOD
Actually you remind me of a character from the book Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries, there was this woodcutter there, who seems just like you!
